iPad Air 1st Gen 2013 vs iPad Air 4th Gen 2020 Speed Test By Productivity Tech
All right so this is gonna, be the real test of the 2013 iPad Air, the first generation and the 2020 iPad Air, the fourth generation. So I just powered these off and I did uh fresh installation of the latest uh software update and see how it goes, and I just cleared up the memory, and they're connected to the same internet. So, let's see how quickly they can power back on. So let me try this one and all right. Okay, this one is back on this. One is still thinking, of course.
I started a little later, but still powering on all right, so they require passcode. So I'm just going to cut this part out all right, so they're back on so first thing I want to check is uh. How fast is the launch of some of the apps that you use the most often so thing I want to do. Is I'm going to test the safari okay? So lets one two three get back on, so I also want to make sure that the internet speed is similar because they are connected to the same internet provider. So, let's check internet speed.
Okay, check internet check enter let's speed all right, so this one already pulled up. So, let's, okay, still, let's run the same speed test, so try to be as close as possible. This one is still loading. So, let's see how fast the internet is on these devices all right. This one is doing pretty good, so touching 49 megabytes per second- and this one is only 13.8 megabytes per second on the download side. Okay, so upload speed is 18 megabytes per second.
This is already done. This one is still going okay, so the internet speed is quite fast on this one, even though they're connected to the same Wi-Fi network. So this one is definitely a winner here. So let's close these out okay. So let's try YouTube now see how so one two three or the sorry on this one is still going.
Okay, so a little of slow here. So we can. I guess, ignore this part right here. Okay, let's launch some of the apps that I would use the most often would be like iBooks it's already there. This one is still going so in terms of speed.
Definitely this is a winner um, let's try. I don't have the some apps are not compatible here. So I would say that, as you can see clearly that this one is significantly faster than this one, I guess once you are actually using it, you probably would not notice the difference but um this one is clearly the winner here.
