iPad 2019 10.2-inch quick review

Hey everyone in today's video I'm going to review the iPad 7 that was released in September 2019. This is the 10.2-inch iPad that supports Apple Pencil by the way I have another YouTube channel, that's unrelated, and I've already, given it there's a full review from the artist perspective. So this review is mostly a general review for the general user. So let me just tell you the pros and cons straightaway I like a build quality. This iPad still looks very nice despite the big bezels full metal back the colors on the screen fantastic, there stood a 3.5, millimeter audio jack and below here they are still using the Lightning pot, which is used for charging the tablet. Obviously, and you can also use to charge the Apple Pencil now to pair the Apple Pencil of the iPad, you need to connect it like this and each time you turn off Bluetooth.

You have to connect it again to pair the Apple Pencil. So if you go into a plane mode and glue this off, you need to pair the Apple Pencil again. I happen to have the previous iPad as well. I've had 6 from 2018, so this is just a slight upgrade compared to the previous iPad. The screen is bigger, 10.2 versus the 9.7 inch. They have.

The smart, Keyboard connector here and processor is still the same. The same 8 hand processors that was used in the iPhone 7 from 2016, so that's a rather old processor, but it's still pretty smooth when it comes to serving the web loading webpages, watching movies, downloading stuff or even taking notes. So, even though it's a data processor, it still works. Fine, it is still smoothes, even after installing the latest iPadOS on this battery life is quite good. I would say it's about 6, 7 or 8 hours when it comes to doing things like surfing the web, watching videos taking.

If you want to use this intensively for drawing purposes, or you are outdoors- that's going to affect battery life because when you're outdoors it's going to be brighter and the brightness will go all the way up and that's going to affect the battery life quite significantly. This model that I bought it comes with 128 gigs of storage. I bought the larger model, because I have a lot of files on my iPad, mostly media files like photos and videos. If you are just going to be watching videos not going to be creating a lot of fouls are photos on iPads and 32. Gigs may be enough, but I do recommend getting the larger model.

If you have the budget, the d2 geeks so for 329, US, dollar and larger model is 429. Us dollar. So that's us $100 more expensive. But the thing with the larger capacity is when you run out of storage or when you have a lot of fouls, you don't have to keep deleting the files to free up storage. Watching video on this I've had is very enjoyable, the colors of the screen.

It's really nice, not as good compared to the iPad Air or the iPad Pro, but we are talking about an iPad. There is several hundreds of dollars cheaper compared to more expensive models. This is a four by three aspects: ratio screen. So when watching a sixteen by nine video you're going to get black bars at the top and bottom, which you get used to very quickly, the only downside when it comes to watching video content is the speakers are at the bottom, and they are only on one side of the tablet. It's not a forward speaker on all the four sides, so the stereo effect it's going to be lost to get better audio quality.

You can use the audio jack or your Bluetooth headphones by the way. If you're wondering about this dot here, this is actually a virtual home button. So I can press this to go to the home screen or tablet app this to get into the app switcher I use this button instead of the physical home, but then fingerprint sensor, because if you use this, you are going to be using this like several times a day and in a year that's going to be hundreds of times and based on my experience with previous iPads. This would get one oh and I had an iPad with a stuck button, so nowadays I just use this, which is I, think safer and actually more convenient. So this is the fingerprint sensor using the first gen fingerprint recognition technology, which is still quite fast, not as fast compared to you were doing a print sensor, but fast enough.

I almost forgot to mention the three gigs of ram, which is an increase over the two gigs with the previous model. So now, when it comes to opening a lot of apps, it's going to be more smooth. You're going to have less lag, although with the previous model, even with two gigs of ram I did not note. Here's any lag, because memory management on iPadOS on iOS from Apple has always been very good. So in that respect, user experience from the a10 processor and three gigs of ram.

It's due adequate for this tablet in this day and age, so loading Internet content is done quite fast. Scrolling True star watching videos are no problem. If you want to get the best user experience when it comes to taking notes, I do recommend getting the Apple Pencil. It's perfect. It's very accurate.

There is pressure, sensitivity and palm rejection. Palm rejection works really well, so you can rest your hand comfortably on the iPad right and there won't be any Stream, but Apple Pencil is expensive, it's not included, and it's so for an additional US $99. Now there are other alternatives out there for taking notes. If you do not need to pressure sensitivity, you can consider darn it note which performs quite well when it comes to taking notes as well. It also has palm rejection just that it has no pressure sensitivity.

The Apple Pencil I have here. This is the first gen Apple Pencil that still uses the Lightning port I've. Had this Apple Pencil for almost two years and the battery life is not as good compared to when it was brand new. So now the battery life it actually drains quite fast. You can see the Apple Pencil battery life from this widget battery life of the Apple Pencil is good back when my Apple Pencil was brand new.

It can last for two three days before I need to charge it and that's when I use Apple Pencil intensively. This is the new functionality of iPadOS. This is called today view, so you can select this almost like this in when it's in landscape mode like this, it's always on the screen, so you can configure all these are little widgets to show you different things like screen time. That shows you how much time you have spent on entertainment, productivity, you can show battery life or the iPad on Apple Pencil called some calendar calculator and other widgets that are available. The new iPadOS is said to have better multitasking features personally for me, I don't use multitasking like open.

Do windows at the same time as frequently I find that the best user experience is actually to use one app at a time. The only time when I need to use two windows at a time is when I need to drag and drop some files into another app, so that's when I would use it, but most of the time we actually just use a single app on a single window. So the overall user experience of this tablet is still quite good, even by today's 10:00, even when compared to other tablets that have faster processor and more memory. So the main selling point here is really the user experience and Apple. They really do.

You know how to make very beautiful products, and they really know how to optimize the software. They are always to give you the fluid experience, and you'll get all that with this iPad, even though the processor is like three years. Oh, do you need a screen protector? Well, I! Don't think you need a screen protector as long as you get a case with flip cover to protect the front, it's going to be alright. The Apple Pencil has a plastic tip, so it's not going to scratch the glass screen if you want to get a better screen, more storage capacity or better processor. Well, Apple do sell other iPads, but they are more expensive, of course, so the iPad 7 this is the cheapest.

Among this line above tablets from Apple, you may notice. I did not mention anything about gaming. That's because I do like game alright. So thanks for watching, if you have any questions, let me know in the comment section below and do subscribe to my YouTube channel for more tech reviews. Bye.
