Google's 2020 Pixel lineup explained! By 9to5Google

Okay so as one of the Internet's foremost pixel experts or self-confessed experts, we here at 95 Google feel like we need to try and clear some confusion surrounding this year's 20/20 pixel devices so bear with us. While we try to explain what's happening with the pixel for a 5 g and the pixel 5, thanks for watching 95, google on YouTube, remember to thumbs up, hit, subscribe and enable notifications with the back icon to be among the first to watch our upcoming videos, so we're back in February, we started tracking a few pixel code names as we always do, and it wasn't until the last few days of early July that we have some sense of what these phones actually are. Google put the retail names of their upcoming devices in the Google app and for those of us have been followers of the pixel series for several years. That might actually seem like a bit of a curveball Google's, definitely switching things up this year, but here's how you can start to make sense of the pixel for a 5 g and the pixel 5. So, first off the pixel Foe well, this is basically the pixel for a that has extensively leaked, and we know just about everything there is to know about it or what's going to be coming soon, it's a true successor to the 3/8 in that it's going to launch an affordable price point somewhere in the 300 to 400 dollar range. It has a lower end, Snapdragon 730 system-on-a-chip and has lesser specs in general, that means a plastic body, a single camera, a smallish battery and a small issue overall screen, there's really no mystery.

Here there is a phone that was probably gonna launch at Google I/o 2020 as an actual sequence in the pattern Google established, I/o 2019 with the launch of the peaks of 3a. As you know, that didn't happen, which leaves the phone set to launch in the second half of the year as a result where things get interesting or confusing. If you haven't been following as closely as we have, is how these new so-called pixel for a 5g and pixel five phones fit into the lineup here's. What we think is happening, so the pics are for a 5g. Assuming Google's leaked of these product names is real.

Let's be honest, this is Google after all, so it probably Israel tells you a lot about itself just by the name. It's clearly sharing some fundamental things with the pixel for a, but it also has 5g connectivity. That means, among other minor things, the biggest differentiator is going to be the system-on-a-chip, the pixel for a has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730, which doesn't support 5g. The only sensible chip this phone could have had is a Snapdragon 690, but we do believe this will be the 765 as the so far into the process of building these devices. Recently, a couple of pixels 5 renders surfaced and remember that pixel 5xl leaked well after the Google app info-dump are actually pretty confident that this is indeed the pixel for 5g.

We think the physical size of the device, which is what LED leakers to think that this was the pixel 5 Excel, will be one of the few differentiators between the 4a and the for a 5g. There's also a few reasons to think this, but perhaps the most obvious is that this render included a headphone jack, which is why we don't think it is a pixel 5, Excel after all. The headphone jack is a key sign of a phone on the lower end of the spectrum. But, more importantly, if there have been three CAD drawings that have leaked in the form of renders- and there have presumably the 4 a 4, a 5 g and 5- and they are real- which they probably are given. Google's track record have not be enough to keep secrets and one of them happens to not have a headphone jack.

It's almost certain that that phone is the pics of 5. The fund that we assume will try to be differentiating itself in as many ways as possible from the 4 a and 4 a 5 G. So, in summary, that means the pixel for a 5 G is going to be a pixel for a with a larger physical body, a larger but similar screen style, a snapdragon 765 G chip and the five-cheese speed benefits that will come with it and a presumably larger battery and a second camera. If the leaked caddie renders are to be believed, pretty much everything else about the phone will likely be the same as a 4, a which, as we mentioned already, we know everything about voil?. You now know what the pics are for.

A 5 G is so that leaves us with the pixel 5, which we also believe. After last week's CAD renders of the pixel 5 are real. Surprisingly, we admit that we didn't cover them originally, because we thought they were too unclear which turns out that they actually were, as noticed by the leak to themselves. The phone does not have a headphone jack. The phone is physically smaller than the pixel for a 5 g, which leaks do call the pixel Davis, but it's likely to have a handful of features that make it clearly the most flagship of the three phones this year.

Will it be a true flagship, though going toe-to-toe with the iPhone Pro Series or the Galaxy Note 20? Well, definitely not, but it will likely go up against the standard, iPhone 12 or Galaxy S series, and so to do so it needs to have a far higher quality external building for a and presumably the for a 5g. So we can make lots of educated guesses about what will set the pixel 5 apart from the 4a and the 4a 5g, we'll expect that we'll have a more premium build than the pixel for a and for a 5g wireless QI charging. In fact, our deeper look at Android 11 DP 1, actually showed a battery share feature that suggests a pixel 5 exists with reverse wireless charging. As for things it will share. It's obvious that the pixel 5, as we detailed in previous digging through a USP, will actually have the same system on a chip as a pixel for a 5g, and if our theory is correct, that means a pixel for a 5g will actually have a larger display than the pixel 5.

So, in summary, if the pieces we've put together are correct, the 3rd pixel for 2020 will be a pixel 5. That's between the Pixel 4a and pixel full, a 5g in size with this snapdragon 765 G and probably a handful of other features like improved, build quality and wireless charging to make it stand out as a higher-end device. If the CAD renders are also to be believed, it will have the same camera setup at least the same on the outside as the for a 5g. Also, if these renders are to be believed- and our theory is indeed correct- then all three films will actually leave behind face authentication and therefore solely in favor of fingerprint sensors, also known as pixel imprint. So what about the pixel, 5, Excel or pixel? Five ultra long stories short there's absolutely no evidence that either the pics of our excel or the pics of five ultra exist.

As we all know, Google leaks like a fire hose, as we saw both earlier this year and with the original leak of the code names and then over the past few days, with the leak of their Associated product names. So we're going to roll with that. Don't expect Google to come out of nowhere later this year and launch a true successor to the pixel 4. We don't really think it's happening at this stage, however nice it would be so providing we're right we're connecting all of these.
