Google Pixel 4a Unboxing & Impressions | Switching from S20 (Exynos 990)

Hi everyone, so here is the phone I've been waiting for last four years. When I say four years I mean after every nexus when they switch to pixel. I've been looking for a good phone with a great value for money and just pixel experience. But if you remember in India, the pixel prices were huge. I actually had pixel 2 XL, but uh the display was horrible, so I switched to note 9. So I hope this doesn't disappoint me.

So I've been waiting for this for a very, very long time. So, let's just unbox this, so I'll, be switching from my galaxy s20, which is right there. So, let's see what we get, so these are my first impression. That's why I wanted to do unbox because even I have just seen them in the videos yet, so I want to see like how it's going to look so, let's just open it. Okay, let's just keep it aside and see what we have in here.

We don't have anything here so just books that no one really cares so 18 watt charger, an USB c to USB c cable and a dongle which I'm glad they're putting there, because Samsung has stopped doing that, so they used to do it as well. But just let's keep them aside. I need this where I will transfer the data from that phone. So, let's just uh my first impression it's soft. I was uh, expecting it to be a little matte sort of finish but uh.

It's a soft finish. So it's not gold like aluminum, because it's plastic um. I was expecting it to be a bit premium, but yeah, it's not bad. The feeling is just I'm, not quite sure of because I think I'm just used to use a glass phone. So it's so it's just new! For me.

We have this green accent button, which is which I really like a single camera fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm jack, one microphone. We have stereo speaker, so we'll test that an USB cable, a single camera punch out and a sim tray. So let's just turn it on. I'm also going to compare the screen with my galaxy s20 and see. How does it look because in past google pixels were not really great with their screens.

Let's do the size comparison as well, so this is 6.2 and this is 5.8. So it's not very small from this phone but yeah it does look small. So, as you can see from behind, I like compact phone, that's the reason I wanted to switch to something like this, and I'm kind of fed up with Enos 990 now, so I want to switch to a snapdragon version if Google Pixel 5 was launching in India, I might have switched to that. But this is the only phone we are getting right now. Uh, let's see I like the display on galaxy s20, I switched back to 60 hertz because I know I was going to switch to this and the battery was not perfect on this on 120hz.

So, let's just see, let me just set up, and we'll be right back. There's e-sim support as well, but we don't have ECM right now, so let's just use the normal sim right now. So it's a dual sim, but one single sim and one ECM. I like the haptic motor if it's nice, the feeling of it, so they're using a good quality, haptic motor, it's really nice to for coming back to the physical fingerprint after a very long time. I love this feature, identify music around you by the time data gets copied.

Furthermore, I just want to tell you the specification, although a lot of you already know, but for those people who don't know it's a 6gb variant and 128gb version. This just comes in the single variant and only one color, so I'm switching from Enos 990 to 730g I had used 730g on my Motorola one fusion plus, so I think it's still good. I know it's not as crazy as a flagship processor, but I don't play much game, so I want to just see how it's going to perform in day-to-day use. I'm really excited about it. The apps are downloading, but by the looks of it is automatically switched everything and the wallpaper is same trust me.

The screen looks really nice. I wasn't expecting this to be this good, so they have used a good quality of OLED. So that's not going to be a problem for me, the colors look different. Let me just change the setting and display and see if I can pop them a little, so the colors are adaptive they're good. I can use boost it as well, but I think adaptive looks fine.

It's a very clean UI. There is nothing in it. No extra app! I don't know what the safety is, but that's Google app, so apps are downloading right now, we'll see about that. But I like this, the app drawer and the icons I think I am done for a while for these Samsung one UI cartoonish icons, and it's already on android 11. So it's going to take some time for that.

So if you have a Google Pixel device, I think you know what you're going for. If I talk about the enhanced feel the buttons are click, but you can still feel like uh you're using a plastic if you have a glass phone in your hand, so the feel of the glass and aluminum frame is different yeah, but I think it's going to take me some time to get used to this. Yes, it does not have that face unlock feature, but uh. This works fine. I think there's some little of animation, which is taking time, so I can that turn it off.

Let's also compare the speaker, I don't. I don't know how they're going to sound like I really love the s20 speaker, so let's just see, so I'll open that, so I'll, they have good bass. I really like them not bad. The base is also good, let's also try the camera. So, let's just see there are not a lot of options, I'm turning the motion off flash.

Besides, let me just see the settings. I hope you guys can see it. I like grids on my camera, so you have draw as well. You can also record h265 I'd like to record in that stabilization. Is on but not much option, so you can't play with a lot of things.

Camera takes a bit of time to process the photo, but the photo quality is good. Like perfect. It's been some time. I've used a pixel phone, so yeah it looks really nice. Let's just see the front camera yeah.

I don't look good, so I'm not going to take picture I'll post some camera samples as well. This is a video sample from Google Pixel 4a. I heard they have improved the mic quality, so I'm recording the audio from the mic itself. Just let me know how it works and let me see the stabilization as well. So this is the video sample from front camera.

You can see the dynamic range as well. The sky is kind of blown out, so that's not good, but yes, see her name is Kiki hi Kiki. So if you guys want me to compare the camera come with this galaxy s20, just let me know I'll do that uh. If you guys have any question just let me know I'm going to use it for a while and uh we'll give you my review. After a time, if you want any sort of speed test with this s20 because the Sony phone I have right now or s10 or if you want camera comparison- just let me know so.

These were my first impressions. I like the device- I am surely going to miss the feel of glass, because I was just using this case, so I could feel the glass I don't like to keep cases on my phone, but these are expensive phones, so you can't do anything about them. I'm not going to use any case on this. This has gorilla glass 3, and this has gorilla glass 6. So I'm also going to see like how scratch resistant.

This is so we'll see about that. I'm not going to use any glassware because I, like the form factor. I wanted to use it like this, but I was scared, so I was just using this. So that's it for this video give a thumbs up. If you like my content, please subscribe to my channel.
