Google Pixel 4a 5G Unboxing!

Hey everyone Tim Schofield here and google just sent over the new Pixel 4a 5g, which is an updated version of the Pixel 4a that they released earlier this year. Now the Pixel 4a was priced at 400. And the 4a 5g is priced at 500. However, you do get more in this package than you did with the 4a. I will be getting the pixel 5 very soon, so be sure to click that subscribe button, so you're notified when those videos go live. However, let's go ahead and take a look at the new Pixel 4a 5g from Google.

Take a quick look. What comes in the box and then of course get some hands-on with the device and maybe even compare it to the 4a as well. Let's go and get started here. Is the Google Pixel 4a 5g? This is the just black color. I do have my regular Pixel 4a we'll get to that in just a second.

But let's see what we get in the box of the 4a 5g, so we're going to set the device to the side for just a second continue through you've got warranty information getting started guide and our sim ejection tool. We also have our charging brick, which is 18 watts, USB type-c and our charging cable, which is USB type-c to USB type-c. Finally, they did include an USB type-c to USB type, an adapter if you're looking to transfer some data, let's grab our 4a 5g from Google peel off this front plastic, very satisfying as always, and then go ahead and power it on and while it boots up. Let's take a close look at the hardware down at the bottom. You've got a microphone USB c slot for charging one of your stereo speakers moving along the right side.

Is the volume rockers right here which are very click? I don't know if you can hear that and then the power button, which is equally click, and this is a white color as opposed to the kind of mint color they went with the regular 4a moving along make note of the camera bump. It is very minimal on the back and up towards the top microphone and take a look 3.5 millimeter, headphone jack. Very few phones nowadays coming out have one of these. So if you are looking for a phone with a headphone jack, this may be the one you're going to want to look for anyways on the left. Side is just your sim card slot on the back is that new camera setup? You have a 12, megapixel, wide angle, lens and 16 megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with that flash up at the top, and then you do have a rear fingerprint scanner moving along is the Google logo at the bottom up at the top? Is the punch hole design for the front-facing camera and the earpiece? Also, the secondary stereo speaker setting up the fingerprint scanner very easy, just go ahead and set your finger down and lift it up and continue to do so.

Uh, the physical fingerprint scanners have just been exceptional. Even on the 4a, it's been great to unlock the device gives you the option to choose dark or light theme I like to switch off between the two and later in settings. You can actually customize what time it switches between dark and light theme, and we are now on the home screen of the Pixel 4a 5g. Let's get a close look at that 6.2 inch, 1080p, AMOLED, display and believe it or not. This is, as far as I can take you for now with the 4a 5g, but let's compare it to the 4a here.

They are side by side, the pixel, 4a and 4a5g. Obviously, a bit of a size different screen size on the left. The 4a is a 5.8 inch display in comparison to the 6.2 inch display of the 4a5 g, and, to be honest, I thought the 4a was just a little too small for my liking. I actually do prefer the larger size of the 4a5g. Now that I'm looking at it closely, the 4a 5g power button is actually more of a purple, as opposed to the white that I had said and then in comparison to that mint colored power button on the 4a regular now on the back.

Another difference is the dual camera versus single camera setup, so obviously a little larger of a camera module on the 4a5 g. There are some differences with the internals on the two devices. Essentially, the 4a5g is going to be a little better. The Pixel 4a has the snapdragon 730 processors from Qualcomm, whereas the pixel 4 a5g has a snapdragon 765 g processor. So that means the processing speeds are going to be faster and GPU power is going to just be better, and even battery life should be better on the ford a5g overall and speaking of battery life in terms of inside the Pixel 4a has a 3140 William hour battery, whereas the Pixel 4a 5g has a 3 85 William hour battery.

So realistically you can expect bad better battery life. On the 4a5g, however, I will say battery life on the 4a has been solid. Both of these have 128 gigs of storage and 6 gigabytes of ram and, of course, those rear, fingerprint scanners. Let's go ahead and test it set it down unlocks the phone same thing with the 4a. Like I said, fingerprint scanner has been perfect and to give you an example, you can actually swipe down it's a setting where you can swipe down on the fingerprint scanner, and it will bring down your notification tray.

You can bring it all the way down or throw it back up without even having to touch the screen. It's actually really useful. I do miss it on other devices when I switch and try other phones. So that is everything I can show you for now on the pixel 4 a5g. I wish I could show you more, but more videos to come so be sure to click that subscribe button, so you're notified when those go live and, as I promised pixel 5 videos coming very soon again be sure to subscribe and drop a comment.

Let me know what you think about these devices. If you're going to go with the 5, the 4a or the 4a 5g, and that's it for now be sure to give this video a thumbs up and as always guys. Thanks for watching.
