Google Pixel 2 XL White & Black (Penguin) Unboxing and Overview

What is up guys welcome to the big unbox, where we do that small tech it's a day. I am back with another say it with me guys big on boxing for you today, we're back with the pixel XL to unbox. Do a quick overview on as always I'll put up the link in the video description. So it's finally able to get my hands on the penguin version or aka the black and white version and I were pre-ordered this a while back, and it just finally shipped, so it's been a while coming I, don't know if you guys already got your black and white versions. Let me know in the comments section I know that this is the unlocked version, so there was definitely a delay on the shipping. I did hear that Verizon customers got there pretty quickly, but, as you guys know, this one comes in two different colors.

You got the black and white or just a straight black. So I wanted to go with the black and white, because I thought I looked a little different and price-wise you're going to be 849 for the 64 gigs 949 for the 128 gigs I went with the 64 gigs just because of the unlimited storage for photos in the video, so I just went ahead and got the smaller storage option from Google, so packaging wise premium looks like the actual regular pixel packaging. Pixel ? I should say where you got a little picture of the phone on it got the little Google logo. Up top, it says, pixel XL ? got a little of features on the back. It says exactly what you're getting the Google Assistant built in and not much else, 218 pixels Google and then the side view of the phone.

So that's pretty much it not a lot to the actual packaging. I do like the packaging on this one better than the original pixel that someone see there's a little more premium to me at least, let's get to the unboxing and see what we get guys again. This has been out for a while now, so I'm happy to. Finally, get my hands on the actual pixel ? penguin edition pops open like that right off the bat I know. Some people already got their hands on this one.

So it's been a little outdated. This unboxing, but I'm still happy to get my hands on this and do a quick over so the pixel ? beautiful with that black and white actually like to. But that looks a lot. It looks even better in person. In my opinion, let's see we get in here in the packaging, got your usual books and stuff like that.

So welcome to team pic, so we'll put that to the side. All right got your dongle got your charging and charging bricks should be right here and that's the charging brick pretty thick brick plainchant, not any logos on or anything I, don't see any type of Google on there. So that's pretty plain Jane kind of almost reminiscent of the essential phone which is not a like a logo on it at all or any type of branding. So that's pretty much it there not much else with the packaging themselves. That's it, but the packaging presentation is definitely an A, so nice job to Google.

On that here's, the actual phone itself. What we'll also do is a quick just comparison to the LGA 30, since LG makes this phone I'm kind of curious. What the difference is between the two. Alright, that nice satisfaction of pulling up that beautiful paper and then that phone that when you first bust it out and doesn't have any fingerprints on it, love that so again, it looks. A little looks like a little more bezel than I would say the V 30, but we'll check that out.

You get the white kind of all around the sides and that's nice and then just a little of black on the back. So it's more of a white and then just a little of black on the back. So this is all kind of like a metal and then the glass black back, the camera protrudes just a little, not too bad, though fingerprint sensor is on the back. It's got a nice spot for it. Power button is in that orange e.

So that's why it looks like a penguin phone I actually like what that looks just adds a little something different, especially compared just to the Plain Jane black phone. That's a little something to it, in my opinion, give you guys some different angles of it. It's very clean! There's nothing at the bottom and all you can see there's plenty of room for it Jack because, but they left it out. So you know that's, that's a probably poor decision from Google to leave that out, because you can see there's plenty room on the top and bottom, but that's just my opinion. Let's go ahead and power it up real, quick and up my information, and we'll do a quick run-through.

Obviously you guys are to know the specs to 8:35. This is the latest Snapdragon. The 845 is probably coming out next year sometime, so this has probably got the latest and greatest at this point, you often heard that they were going to have a little better Snapdragon for this version, but that was powered up really quick. That was super speedy, that's actually just as fast as the iPhone, even faster, so nice job there. Let me do this guys.

I'll put my information in this thing, we'll get it loaded up, and then we'll kind of do a little comparison to the LG v 30 and a couple other newer phones out right now hold side guys be right back. What is up guys welcome back, so we got this up and running the Google Pixel 2, and it was very fast startup from start to finish very quick load time. So nice job did Google. They definitely are on point with that. So you guys will be very impressed with that.

If you guys are coming from an Apple phone or any other type of device. This is very, very fast. Start time start to finish. Basically putting information in and getting it started up. One thing: I did notice right off the bat that I love is that always-on display, if you guys have never had that before, if you guys have that any LG phones or Samsung phones, they're always on display, is a nice thing.

Do you have got your clock and then it kind of gives you need text, messages or any type of emails? You can see it with actually getting into the device. So it's actually a nice thing to have once you have it, it's tough to go back to something else, so nice job to Google for implementing that on the pixel 2 and a pixel XL 2. That was the first thing. I noticed and I loved it. The weight of the phone is definitely more.

It's a lot more basically heavy than I expected, because I thought it would be very similar to the LAB 30, because they're both made by LG. But it's really not it's its the size is definitely bigger. It's got more weight to it, so you can tell Google really designed this one and LG just did what they were supposed to do in terms of what Google wanted. Let's check out the fingerprint sensor were superfast. Give you guys a look at the screen, so you can see there's more bezel than I expected on the top and bottom.

But you deal with those dual speaker: she got the speaker here and then the speaker at the top, so that should have a pretty good sound to it. There's a little more bezel and I expect it on the sides. You can see that as well, and I can't really get into at this point whether the screen is gonna, be good, bad or trash. I know, there's been plenty debate on the screen on this one, so I'll check it out and kind of you know develop my own opinion on this point at this point. I can't really tell you, because I haven't used the phone long enough, so I'm not gonna.

Get into that. Let me know your guy's experiences. If you guys have it. Let me know, in the comments section I know, there's been some updates to the phone itself, so hopefully that helped out with it. Let's do a little comparison right now.

This is the LAB 30, so again, they're both made by LG six yet screens for both them. So they both have six-inch displays. You can see that the pixel XL 2 is definitely taller wider. It's a bigger device all the way around, so this one has the same size of display, but yet it's completely a bigger phone. Give you guys check this out just check this out guys so the phone you can see it looks really nothing like.

Actually it was expecting it to be more similar than what it is, but it's really a completely different device, so you got a definitely got more bezel on the pixel to because small the bezels are on the B 30 I think this is probably one of the sexiest devices on the market right now. I know this has kind of been its kind of been for God. Just because LG didn't put a lot of. You know advertising into it, but I love this phone I think if this phone had been the LG be sick or the LG G 6 it'd have been a lot better. This is a beautiful device.

That's probably being slept on by a lot of people, but I really like that, but it is definitely bigger device for the pixel up so ? it feels bigger in your hands. It's got more weight to it. So in terms of comparison to that, it's definitely just a bigger device and heavier you know. So, let's check out something else see what else we got here. One of the brand-new phones that I got is I'm.

Sorry, this is the one plus five T. Now this 1 plus 5 T is actually going to be the same size of screen, and it's very close in terms of the bezels. Let's check this out guys very close. You got some different views. The screen looks very similar between the two.

Now the 1 plus 5t is going to start. You start at 499 this one's gonna start at 849. So there's a big difference in pricing. Let's check out the size, so the pixels just a little taller, and it's definitely just a little chunkier. Even with this has a case on it, then the 1 plus 5t I've got to say I mean if you're looking for a stock experience that not that is not the Google experience, not completely stock, but it's very almost close to stock check out the 1 plus 5t, because you're going to have some super speedy phone.

It's a really it's so far. It's a really beautiful device. You've got the fingerprint sensor on the back as well, so they actually do look very similar. This actually looks similar more similar than natural v30, in my opinion, except for the dual camera lenses on the back, but it also looks very comparable to me versus of this, and actually these two are made by the same company. Let me know what you guys think in the comment section we'll see if this one's going to be a hit, but I think right out the gate.

It does look like a nice device if you're looking for that stock, beautiful stock, Android experience, you probably can't go wrong with the pixel lineup. So let me know what you guys think in the comment section. Keep these suggestions coming for the accessories hit the subscribe button we'll see you guys next time on the big unbox you.
