Hi there, my name is Sam from words. com and welcome to a new comparison, video between the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra and the Huawei p40 pro plus. We are comparing both phones in terms of display performance, camera design and battery stay tuned and find out which phone is, in our opinion, the better phone before going ahead and start this comparison, we would like you to know that we are still doing a big giveaway for more details watch until the end of this video. If you'd like to see more videos like this feel free to subscribe and hit the notification bell. Let's start straight away with our review. Let the facts speak display the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra has a 6.8 inch display with a 1440p resolution. It is fitted with an audit screen which does a fantastic job.
The s21 ultra measures, 17.3 centimeter diagonally, with a pixel density of 515 PPI. The display has an impressive 120hz refresh rate with a quad HD resolution, and it is also downgrading the rate when it's not in used to reduce power. Consumption sounds like a very solid screen. Let's have a look at the p40 pro. The p40 pro plus has a 6.58 inch display with a 1200p resolution. The very accurate colors are created by an OLED screen that 6.58 inch display. Therefore, measures 16.7, centimeter diagonally, with a pixel density of 441 PPI, the Huawei p40 pro plus, has a refresh rate of 90 hertz. As you probably expected, when you saw the stats of the p40 pro, it cannot compete at all.
The galaxy screen is bigger. Has a higher pixel density, supports quad HD resolution and has a feature of 120hz refrigerate. It's just on a different level, clear point for the Samsung performance. The Huawei p40 pro plus has 512 gigabyte internal storage capacity and is equipped with in-house produced Huawei Karin g-chip and has 8 gigabyte ram. The storage capacity can be expanded by up to 256 gigabytes, an in-house produced chip paired with 8 gigabyte ram.
What has the galaxy got to offer since we are in Europe, this Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra model uses the Samsung Enos 2100 chips with the new 5 nanometer process technology? There are different versions with different storage capacities available, a 128 gigabyte and a 256 gigabyte, with 12 gigabyte ram and a version with 512 gigabytes, with 16 gigabytes of ram, which is in use in this comparison. The storage capacity can unfortunately not be expanded anymore, so Huawei's current 990 5g chip versus Samsung's newest processor, the exon er 2100, who is going to outperform, who, let's take them into the an tutu benchmark test to find out the tests, are divided into three phrases: a performance test of the ram, a test of how the device is handling two-dimensional, graphics and an endurance test of how the device is handling 3d, graphics, yeah. As expected, this was not even close. Samsung's suede, newer chip and the 16 gigabyte of ram doubles. The one of the p40 leads to a huge difference in the results: decisive rim for the s21 camera.
The p40 pro plus has five main cameras: the auto ride with 40 megapixels, the ultravision, with 50 megapixels, two telephoto with 3 and 10 volt optical zoom and 8 megapixels each and a 3d vision camera. You can find two front cameras in the upper left corner of the screen. The first one has a 32 megapixel resolution and the other one is an IR death version camera the Huawei p40 pro plus camera system was co-engineered with Lacey, and it's a beast when it comes to taking good pictures. It also records 4k videos at a maximum of 60 frames per second. It also has image stabilization for video, so like a co-engineered camera system that sounds very promising.
Is the galaxy able to beat that the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra has four main cameras, an ultra rate with 12 megapixels, a wide angle with 108 megapixels and two telephoto cameras with 10 megapixels. The front camera's resolution is 40 megapixels, the Samsung Galaxy s2 on ultra records, 8k videos at a maximum of 24 frames per second, and of course it has image stabilization for video 2. Both phones have good camera systems, but which one is actually the better system. Let's take it to our camera test and, let's find out which one does a better job. Both phones feature excellent camera systems, which produce incredible high quality pictures, especially with the main sensor.
The amount of details and definitions are exceptional. The only notable difference is in terms of color rendering, where Samsung seems to be using a cooler, color palette when it comes to the front camera again, both phones know how to convince, although the Samsung may apply a little too much sharpening and the Huawei may a bit too soft. The correct balance might be in the middle. Both phones feature a three-fold and an excellent 10-fold optical zoom. They also both have up to 100 voltage to zoom, okay, so thoughts are good.
Now, let's switch from photo feature to the video feature to find out which of these two phones takes better videos. When it comes to slow motion, video, the Huawei has the upper hand with up to 960 frames per second in full HD and up to 7680 frames per second in HD. The galaxy is capable of 240 frames per second in full HD and 960 frames per second in HD. All in all, this really is a battle of giants. The pictures taken in different conditions are excellent, with little difference between the two and even though the Huawei has an advantage when it comes to slow motion, video shooting, we decided that this is not enough to take the win, as both have amazing systems that do an excellent job.
Both get a point in this one design, the galaxy s20 ultra comes across very sophisticated thanks to its matte finish. The quad camera system is, as usual, in the upper left corner on the back of the phone, but the bump seems like it is more connected to the front of the phone. It looks like as if the frame is wrapped around the upper left corner of the back. The bump itself really sticks out of the phone again, which makes that corner really thick. The smartphone weighs 227 gram.
It is roughly 16.5 centimeter long 7.56, centimeter wide and 0.89 centimeter deep. It has an USB connector and thanks to an ip68 rating, it is also water and dust resistant. The s20 uses face recognition, technology and a fingerprint scanner which is built into the screen to unlock the phone Samsung improved the fingerprint scanner by making it 1.77 times bigger and two times faster, a very clean design. Even though we don't like the big camera bump next up the p40 pro the Huawei p40 pro plus has a clean design with a glossy finish. The five camera system is well positioned in the upper left corner on the back of the phone.
The camera bump is pretty big, and it sticks out a lot. The smartphone weighs 209 gram, it's roughly 15.82 centimeter long, 7.26, centimeter wide and 0.89 centimeter deep. It has an USB connector and thanks to an ip68 rating, it's water and dust resistant. The p40 pro plus uses face recognition, technology and a fingerprint scanner which is built into the screen to unlock the phone. The face recognition, technology works, perfect at daylight, and also good on a weak light environment.
Okay, so both phones share one thing: a huge camera button. This makes them look insanely thick and the phones won't lay straight on the table. They will always wobble. That is something that we really don't like, and a big minus. The galaxy shines with a clean, robust design and has a feeling worthy of a flagship phone.
It has a way smaller and more elegant approach on the front camera notch. Its edges are not curved and a rainbow shine. Matte metal looks amazing in general, the s21 is much superior looking phone, which is why, in this case, it wasn't that hard to choose a winner. It's the galaxy, of course. As always, this is just our opinion, as design is a very subjective category.
So let us know in the comments what you think battery the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, when footage charge has 5 000 William hours. On the other hand, the p40 pro plus, when fully charged at 4 200 William hours and supports reverse charging, the galaxy has a bigger battery and is equipped with a newer technology, so it should last longer, let's take them to our day-to-day usage test and see. If that's true, even though the p40 pro has a smaller battery, it gave a solid performance. In the end, the galaxy was the winner, though the bigger battery and advanced technologies just made the difference, but, like always, it depends on the way you use your phone both got through a day of normal usage. The point, though, goes to the Samsung conclusion before we start the conclusion: let's talk about our giveaway as we are still a small channel, but we experience, in our opinion, a great growth over the last couple of months, with tons of support from you guys.

The first point goes to the galaxy. Its screen is just superior in every way and beats the p40 pro in terms of size, pixel density resolution and refresh rate makes up performance here.
It was almost the same. The Huawei had no chance against the newer chip and bigger ram of the Samsung. That was not the case in the third category, though, in terms of camera, the p40 pro had very convincing arguments which led to the first draw in this comparison. In terms of design, it was again a clear victory for the galaxy, as it is just a much nicer, looking phone and, last but not least, the battery life here, the p40 pro surprised with better result than expected, but in the end the channel's, bigger battery and advanced technology made it come out on top. This leads to only one clear winner of this comparison, which is the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra five to one point is a decisive and well-deserved win for the galaxy.
