Galaxy Note 10+ New Update brings ultrawide camera in Pro/Pro Video Modes

Hello everybody and welcome back to a new video tech guy charlie here, so the Galaxy Note 10 plus just got a new update. Now the change log doesn't really say all that much, but this is the update that allows you to record videos and click photos in the pro modes, using the ultra-wide angle lens, and for those of you who keep on asking this is the unlocked international Galaxy Note.10 plus, and this update also brings the security patch level to first April 2021, and if your phone hasn't got this update, yet don't worry about it, because this update will hit your phone sooner or later. So let me go ahead and demonstrate the camera features to you. Guys and also the wallpaper link is in the video description, all right. Let's fire up the camera. Now, if you go to the pro video mode, you have the option of using the ultra-wide angle, camera in the pro video mode and record videos.

So this gives you full manual control over the ultra-wide angle, camera you can change the ISO change the shutter speed and also control the white balance. So for those of you who wanted this feature, it's finally available on the Galaxy Note, 10, plus and also if you go to the regular pro mode, this feature is also available over here. So this also lets you select and use the ultra-wide angle lens, pretty amazing right. So this again gives you full manual control over the ultra-wide angle lens. You don't have the focus option, because the ultra-wide angle, camera does not have autofocus.

So that's a hardware limitation and other than these features. Everything else is the same. So I have checked out everything over here, including the portrait mode. You don't have the new effects that the Galaxy Note 20 ultra does so here is the Galaxy Note, 20 ultra and this phone has couple of new camera effects in the portrait mode which have been carried over from the new flagship, the s21, so blur studio, high key mono, Loki, mono backdrop and color point is already there on this phone, so these are a couple of new effects that this phone has, but this one does not- and someone was actually asking me about this- will the Galaxy Note 10 does get these new effects in the portrait mode? Well now, unfortunately, these new effects are not available on this order. Phone and also another thing.

If you go to the pro video mode and if you select the ultra-wide angle lens, you cannot record videos at 60 fps. So if I change this to oops, so if I change this to full high definition, 60 it switches back to the main camera. So here's the thing, the ultra-wide angle lens- is not capable of recording videos at 60 fps. On the Galaxy Note, 10 plus so that's again, a hardware limitation which is not there on the Galaxy Note 20 ultra so on this phone. If you go to pro video and if you select 4k 60, you can actually use the ultra-wide angle lens to record videos at 4k 60 fps.

So this is not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind and a lot of you guys asked what is the version of the camera after the update. So here we go about camera, so this is the new version and on the Galaxy Note 20 ultra the latest version is 02.78, so the camera version on the note 10 plus, is in fact newer than what you get on the Galaxy Note, 20 ultra. So apart from this, I haven't really noticed anything new in the camera, but I like the fact that now you can use the ultra-wide angle camera in the pro video mode. So this gives you a lot of flexibility when you are recording videos, especially using the ultra-wide angle, camera and again other than that. I haven't really noticed anything new here.

The night mode does not have the manual timer, like the Galaxy Note, 20 ultra does so yeah. I guess that pretty much brings us to the end of this video and finally, if your phone hasn't got this update, yet don't worry about it because sooner or later it will get this update. So thank you for watching stay tuned for more videos like these, and I will see you guys in the next video.
