Apple iPhone XS Max vs Huawei Mate 20 Pro Camera Comparison!

The Huawei made 20 Pro has a unique triple camera setup and placement and up against it today we're putting up Apple's latest iPhone, Tennis Max, dual camera setup, to see how both the smartphone cameras perform. We'll begin with a close-up I really like how both phones portray the green color on the plants with the May 20 Pro, swaying towards the warmer side. The natural bouquet from both phones is very impressive, but I think the mid-20 pro is slightly sharper with more my new details being captured in this next one. We see towards the top that the mid 20 pro photos looks a bit blown out where the iPhone captures the blue sky, but the May 20 pro does a better job at capturing the detail. In the background of the image near the trees, the most realistic picture of the scene would be a mixture of both of these pictures, in my opinion, because neither is really too spot-on in terms of colors or dynamic range. The ultra-wide lens is a new feature on the mid-20 pro this time, and here we see more detail being captured from the scene in exchange for a fish, I sort of look and slightly warmer color tones moving to more of a scenic picture.

I feel the white balance is slightly better on the iPhone, with more accurate colors of the sky and building. In the background. Turning on Huawei, say hi, the change in colors is not very aggressive, but a portion of the blue sky becomes more visible on the Huawei image, but I still prefer the iPhone 10s max photo here at 2x zoom for the same photo. We see both phones doing a very good job. The Huawei image is slightly darker and because of this, the phone is able to capture more detail in the background of the image and at 10x zoom, the mid-20 pro evidently with its AI technology, takes the sharper photo.

Now. Here's a look at portrait photos from both these phones right off. The bat I feel both phones do a very good job with skin tones. The photo from the iPhone has more contrast to it. Compared to the lighter and softer make xx, Pro image in terms of background blur, the Huawei does a very consistent job, whereas the iPhone misses out a part towards the right side near my face and ask for selfies the mid-20 pro takes the much sharper photo, but in terms of colors both are diff, while the Huawei sways more towards an orange tone.

The iPhone has a greenish hue to the picture, which I feel makes it look a bit more natural with portrait mode enabled I prefer the iPhone again due to how it handled the background on the mid-20 Pro. Much of the detail in the background is blown out and the photo adds a few beauty effects. As far as edge detection goes. Both phones have their blemishes, the iPhone towards my hair, whereas the mid-20 Pro towards my ear. Let's move indoors now in slightly lower light, where straight away, there's more detail from the Huawei camera on the wall, texture, the reflections from the bike and from the steel above the picture are better handled on the mid-20 pro.

Here, too, you can see the use of the wide angle lens on the mid-20 pro, which is great, but sometimes it can get a bit too wide and capture your finger as well, which may affect the picture. Here's a photo of a plant indoors where I prefer the mid-20 Pro photo, there's more detail in the shadows compared to the iPhone and with Huawei's AI. The photo looks a bit more enhanced, but the good thing here is that the AI changes are very, very subtle, which is a huge difference. Coming from the p20 pro from earlier this year at night we really see the May 20 Pro shine. The photo of this mosque is so much sharper than the iPhones with more detail in the greens and the building's texture.

The night mode takes it up a level further in terms of detail, but bear in mind taking a photo like this requires you to stay still for up to 5 seconds and the photo seems a bit too enhanced. Sometimes another unique feature here is the wide-angle lens on the Huawei, which lets you capture more detail at night without sacrificing photo detail too much. Another example of a night shot would be this one where the May 20 Pro image is naturally darker than the iPhone without night mode. I prefer how the iPhone looks, but with night mode enabled the war does a much better job. The detail on the plant is more visible and the exposure of the light source is better controlled using portrait mode in this lighting, the May 20 Pro handles at detection better than the iPhone which blurs out petals of the flower.

I think both phones in this case can do a better job, and hopefully a future software update will fix this, especially on the mid-20 pro considering. This is running on pre-release software. We lend the primary camera night shots with this last picture, which is sharper on the mid-20 Pro colors are also better handled in this case, and wit night mode. The camera captures a lot more detail, especially if the rocks underwater, but for some reason the photo seems a bit blurrier and I hope. This is fixed via a future software update to enhance AI stabilization during night photos, especially as for selfies I prefer the look of the mid-20 Pro.

The image is brighter and has more detail compared to the muddy. Looking image from the iPhone with portrait mode enabled I still prefer how the mid-20 Pro looks, especially in terms of colors to end off. Let's look at some video footage from both the phones at 1080p. The iPhone camera captures more detail in between the shadows and has more dynamic range. I also prefer the stabilization from the iPhone camera footage at 4k.

Much of my comments about color remained the same with the May.20 pro footage. Looking a lot darker with less accurate. Colors. Stabilization, though, is hard to tell apart here, from the footage samples with both phones doing a very good job and finally, here's some front-facing camera footage and the microphone. You can't judge the quality of audio, that's being recorded by both these phones and, of course, through the stability that you see, you can judge whether these phones would become a good vlogging camera or not.

So there you have it. Let us know which phone camera you prefer in the comments down below and why we'll have more videos coming over in the next couple of days, so make sure you subscribe to the channel to not miss out thanks for watching, and I'll, see you in the next one adios.
