Hey everyone, what is going on it's your boy, j-dub here, aka, the one and only and this time coming to you with a review of Apple's brand new iPhone 10s max leather cases. Now you can pick these up in the Apple Store for $49 and hold on a second I know what you're going to say. These cases are really expensive. You must be saying Apple your Echo damn mind if you think I'm going to spend $49 on this stupid case and hey you're right. This is really expensive. $50 for a case is surely a ton of money for a lot of people and that's why I'm here today to at least showcase this product and at least tell you why I think that these products are worth it.
So let's go ahead and get started. The unboxing experience is very minimalistic. To be honest, I don't know what Apple is doing. They really are slacking nowadays, you've got no documentation, no stickers, just here's your box, here's your case and that's it. You know this color is product red.
It is exclusive only to the Apple Store. So if you want to pick it up, go ahead and hit up an Apple Store up next, we got my personal favorite color. It's saddle brown, the reason that I like it so much is just the way that it patina is over time. It's your most traditional leather, looking color up next, we do have black, and I mean black is black man? You can never go wrong with black, it's very sleek as dark. It's mysterious can't go wrong with it up.
Next. We do have forest green now later on in this video I'm, going to showcase something about the forest green color, because it is much darker than Apple's website advertises ass. Next, we have midnight blue and main eye blue. Just look so luxurious, it's very classy, and you can match it with just about anything now this next color I, don't know I, don't know how I feel about this Cape Cod blue. It reminds me of light wash denim I.
Don't really, but I mean you know, I guess we'll see how it weathers over time. And lastly, we do have taupe. This is your most neutral color. In my opinion, you just can't go wrong with taupe, and it's taupe not help alright, so these cases do have a microfiber lining protection on the back. Well, it's going to be on the back of your phone.
So if you were to drop your phone straight on its back, you should be fine. It's really nestled in there and these cases do provide a really snug fit. So the thing about these leathers, which might explain some price point, is it is natural and genuine leather. So it's not any of that fake, faux leather or any of that vegan lit leather. This is the real deal you know, and this is going to change and weather over time.
So when your case changes, colors don't hit up the Apple Store trying to return it because it's not the same color anymore, because that's what leather is gonna, do it's gonna change, colors over time and I think that's really cool so up next, we do have this four is green on the Left black on the right and boom. It's okay, so in hindsight, I should have turned out the computer monitor, but you can kind of see there how black and the forest green I mean. The forest green just looks a lot darker and darker conditions, because Apple's website, so I'm trying to beat ripped it's not really accurate when it comes to colors. You know so just make sure if you're going to pick up these cases go to the Apple Store and check them out in person. So Apple does offer the silicone and the leather cases and weather which one you should get is totally dependent on your lifestyle.
The leather cases are $39, yes, I know expensive for a stupid silicone case, but it's there if you're more athletic. If you're really rough on your phone go ahead and get the silicone cases, but if you really want to step up and get that leather, because man, the leather, is so soft, but be careful because at first the leather is very hard and slippery. That's what she said, but it's going to smooth out over time. You should be fine, just be careful at the very beginning. So another cool thing about these leather cases.
Is it eliminates that rocking with that pesky and annoying camera bulge right, so I know, there's a lot of instances where you want to just type and have your phone laying flat on a table, and this case eliminates that problem. It gives it just a tiny bit of depth there just enough so that the camera bulge isn't protruding anymore. Overall, it's a very sleek and thin case, so just be very careful because it does offer minimum protection on the back. As mentioned, you should be fine, but keep in mind that the bottom portion is exposed and there's not much protection if you're to drop your phone on the front. So if you think this case is going to become a tank for your phone you're wrong, go ahead and hit up Apple and get that Apple Care ace up on your phone because, this more than likely it's not going to protect your phone when it comes to drops me personally, I like these leather cases, just because of the patina and the character that your case is going to have I mean just think about ten months down the road, and your case has just been with you through everything, and it's going to change colors.
It's gonna, be your POW, your compare, your amigo. If that's weird I get, it is I just be me, but I really do like the way that these cases are just gonna change over time. It really gives it a very iconic character. Now. Is it worth it? That question is very subjective if you have a decent, stable, paycheck coming in, go ahead and try them out you're, really not going to be disappointed, but if you're really not making a lot of money, it'd be really stupid to pick up these cases because they are a $50 case.
You're always going to pay that Apple tax with apples, first party accessories and, of course, with all their products. You're always going to pay that premium because it came directly from Apple. In conclusion, me personally, I dig these cases, I think they're far I think they're slick I really do like them. Despite the minimal protection that it gives I really like the leather and how it's going to change over time and just give them a try. They are first-party cases.
They fit perfectly. There's no gap in between the camera, bulge they're great. So that was my review for Apple's leather cases for the iPhone 10s. I really do want to.
