Apple iPad Pro 2020 12.9" vs 2017 10.5" SpeedTest! Should You Upgrade ?

Low-Tech lovers, as he here from Buzz tech today, we'll be comparing the brand-new 2020 I pad pro at Apple, announced with a 2070 I've had Pro, which is a ten point. Five-inch iPad Pro, and we'll compare and see. How is the speed differences, and also we'll see if it's worth, if you already have a 2017 iPad for 10.5 s, to move on to the 20/20 iPad Pro so without further ado, let's get started. So let's do a boot up test first and see they both are running on the newest iOS version, which is the thirteen point four. So let's go ahead and do a boot up test and see which one comes faster. It's one two three again on my left is a 20/20 iPad Pro 12.9 it and on my right is twenty. Seventy-nine five pro ten point five inches, so they both have the Retina display.

Oh, you can see the 2017 I prefer actually booted off faster than the 20/20. Let's look at the display, so the only difference in the display is this. One is 600 nits brightness, and this word: they don't really tell you what the brightness, but, as you can see, they're both are really bright. So I don't really see any difference. Maybe this one is a little brighter than this one, but they both are almost similar brightness, but the main thing that they both have and which is the most important thing, is the true tone where it's 120, Hertz refresh rate, and they both have that.

So, if you already have this one, and when you move to this iPad, you will see a difference because there is a big design difference, we'll talk about it in a little, but just by using the display, they both have the promotion. So the refresh rate is 120 Hertz on both of them and they both are true tones. So the color and color reproduction will be very similar both of the iPad. Let's look at the design difference, so if you see the iPad Pro 2020 has a modern look without the home button, so this one has faced ID and this one has fingerprint sensor. So, let's look at the sides from this side.

Z as you can see the whole. The volume key are located similar positions, but since this one is squared up shape- and this one is curved- so that's why I mean, in my opinion and in your hand, this one feels a little better to hold, because just because it has a like corner round corner and since this one is square, I think it feels a little more slippery in your hand, plus, if you, if you're looking at the build quality, I, think this one is a lot more structural, rigid Bridgette than this one, because this one is such a so thin and light that a lot of people do have. A lot of people do have problems with getting bend, but the main feature that the cipher has that this one doesn't is the headphone jack. As you can see, there is the headphone jack over here on this iPad. There is no headphone jack, but this happens has a USB-C charging forward.

This one is lightning there. On the USB see it's really easy to connect to this external displays supposed to transfer data from like an external hard drive to your iPad. It's very a lot easier, but iOS. They both are running same iPadOS, so functionality right, they both will be very similar. So, let's open a big pension, see what's the score difference between both of these, so we have been given five over here.

One two: three I'll just fast-forward the test, and we'll be back with the results. So here you can see the Big Bang scores, so this one is almost double the score and the iPad Pro 10.5 inch. So, as you can see on the single and multi-core, this one scores almost double, but this one has four gigs of ram, and this one has six gigs of ram and, as you can see, this one is running that a 10x fusion ship and the iPad Pro 2021, a 12 Z Bionic chip from Apple. Let's try to clip some games and see if there is any load of time difference between these two. This would be much more like real-world test, where you can exactly see if there is any difference in speed and you're opening and closing application.

So one two three: we cancel this and reopen it again. I think the anti-drone 10.5 inches actually put it up faster. That's number one, two and three, as you can see on this one they're almost like I, get the iPad Pro 10.5 and loaded up faster. Let's try and run both of these tests again, just to make sure one more time. Ten one two one, two three I don't know what about the iPad ten point: five inch is actually faster in loading of application.20/20 again one two three. This depends upon what game is more optimized, so I guess some games are still not optimized for the 2020.

So, as you can see, the frame rates are very similar on both of the iPads I mean they both run really smoothly, where you don't see any hiccups or anything or any glitches. So it's like, if you look both of these iPad, they are very similar and used in use of the lady. I mean it's just. This is the good part of our Apple, like, even if an iPad, which is two to three years old usage wise when you're running application it just feels as if it's brand new like if you compare this to Android I mean after two-three years, even their phones or tablets go really, really slow but on the other hand, Apple optimizes their hardware and software, so good that I mean if you buy the 20/20 iPad Pro. This will last you easily four or five years same thing as this one, so this one will last perfect until 2021 22, so only the main reason behind these two.

If you wanted to upgrade to the new iPad Pro, will be the camera. Let's say this one has a dual lens camera and this one has one ultra wide-angle lens camera, as well as the wide-angle camera. This one only has single lens camera Plus. This one also has a lighter sensor, so this will be perfect for augmented reality other than that, if you have a ten point, five-inch iPad Pro and if you're satisfied with it, there is no reason to upgrade to the iPad Pro 2020 is just because there is not not a lot of more features that you get you just on both of these you. You can use them very similarly, how many years this one will have faced ID and this one I love touch ID, but unless you don't keep them side by side, if you have a ten point, five-inch iPad Pro, it's not going to slow down your speed unless and until you're doing something really heavy on your iPad, and if you use your iPad as your main computer, which is really, really hard or there is a big learning curve to do that, you should I, don't think so.

There is any reason behind upgrading to the new iPad Pro if the design difference makes you. Of course, this one will be more appealing to your eyes, just because this one is a modern look in a more in design but features and functionality wise. They both will do exactly the same thing unless you have a need for the USB, and if you have a lot of external devices that will connect to the USB, see any figure you can make use of it, then it's worth it, but other than that I mean speed wise. Yes, this will be faster, but if you're, if you have this one, if you're satisfied with the speed- because this one is not slow like it- will run really, really smooth. So unless until if you're, if you have a lot of money to spend, of course, going to get a 20/20 high five pro but a budget, it's your concern, and even if you don't have any iPad Pro, you can easily find on Apple refurbish the iPad Pro 10.5 inch, one or 56 gigs in the saber for our $500, which is actually a perfect price. For this iPad again, because if this one didn't have the promotion display, then there was would have been a big jump, because that makes a big difference at promotion the, since both of them are promotion display, and we were able to see that there was not a big difference in speed when you're opening the application in real world news unless you're again I'm emphasizing on this.

Unless you use your iPad for the majority of your work or as your main machine that might be worth it. But if not, then, if you can find this one for cheap around 500 or maybe less, if you look at Craigslist or Amazon or eBay for a used one, you can easily find this for $$300350 for this iPad Pro. That's a perfect deal. So this was my quick comparison between the iPad for 2020 and 2017 10.5-inch, iPad Pro I hope you guys liked it please subscribe. Thank you for watching and have a great day.
