6th Generation IPad vs 7th Generation speed test and Ram Management test

Hello everyone welcome back to my channel so today, I have for you guys an exciting video. So, as you can see here, I have the iPad 6th generation on my left here and the 7th gen on my right. You can tell the difference between these sizes here, because the seventh gen is a 10.2-inch screen and the 6th gen is a nine point. Seven-inch screen, so you can tell the difference in the screen sizes. Okay. So today what I have for you is an exciting video I'm gonna, do a speed test: I'm going to open a couple apps and a couple of games here just to see which one performs better or is faster, but before I get into this video I would appreciate if you could head on down below hit that subscribe button turn that notification bell on, so you can get notified when I have another upload on my channel.

Okay, alright! So let me get into this video here so like. As you can see. This is my kids' tablet. This one on the left here is my son's tablet on the one on my right is my daughter's tablet, so I'm going to scroll through here you can see they got a bunch of games on here, a bunch of apps and stuff on the screens, they're loaded with games and apps. So what I did here is I went through, and I created a folder with the similar stuff in that folder.

So I could get a fair test. Okay, so, as you can see, they pretty much have almost the same apps on the tablets, so I'm going to go ahead here and open up a couple apps that I created so on my daughter's tablet. You can see this at this folder here called education, and this one is called games on my son's tablet. They pretty much. How could you pretty much just put the same thing inside the folders? Just so I could have the apps at hand.

Okay. So without further ado, let me get into this video alright. So, as you can see here, the first app we have here in the folder is the Apple TV app open that app on both boom. Let's see which one goes through faster and, as you can see, the seven Jen went through a little quicker. Alright, so I'm, just going to close these apps as we go along, and then we're going to go back and see how the RAM performs with these apps.

So we're going to go back and open those after I'm through with all these okay. So the next one on the list is a panda game. Let's go ahead and open that alright right seems like it's moving a little quicker on the sixth gen. Let's see how fast this goes through, alright, so, as you can see there, the one on the left with it, which is the sixth gen, went through faster during that test. Alright, so we're going to do the same thing here.

We're going to close both of them leave them in the background, and then we're going to restart those apps after all, right see how the RAM performs. So, let's go this one is called chores. Let's open chores see all right leading a little on the seventh gen. Alright, there we go seventh genuine through faster on that test. As you can see.

Alright, let's go to the other one which is YouTube, so we're gonna, hope and YouTube on these tablets and see which one opens faster here so boom YouTube faster on the seventh gen as well, and as you can see, this um they're both on the same Wi-Fi. So if I pull down here, let me show you here: Oh almost that disconnected this one. Let me connect put it back on the same one, so they were both on the same Wi-Fi, so there is no advantage with the Wi-Fi speeds here. They're both was on the same. Why fight? So let me go back and put that back on the Wi-Fi.

Okay and we're gonna actually do the YouTube or test again since I messed up the Wi-Fi setting here. So you can see they're both on the same Wi-Fi there, okay, alright! So let's go back we're gonna, close that out close that out we're gonna, close YouTube and we're actually going to redo YouTube, all right. So, let's close that leave the other apps in the background that screws is setting up there. Alright, so we're going to go back to the folder, and we're gonna head on back to YouTube again boom 7th gen again, so you can see it clearly won that test. Alright, we have it Safari next, so let's hit safari boom.

Alright, then you can see. Seven Jen went through a little quicker, although they were on different pages, and we're going to launch the camera up here same time. So there's no winner here on the camera app they're both the same alright, so we're gonna head on to the App Store. Let's do App Store. Are we going to go here, and you can see quicker on the seventh gen alright, and we're going to go to the next one here, which is YouTube kids little quicker on the seventh gen there as well? So you can see the seventh gen is slightly quicker when with opening and closing the app.

So let's try to play a video here. Let's try that what they both have different videos on here. So it's not going to be like a fear test, but let's try and open a video, so you each one loads quicker same time. So the loading of the videos is the same, pretty much all right, all right. So that's loading the videos so the next one on the list here we have is talking ginger, so we're gonna load talking ginger here and let's go so one two three go: alright, let's put this on full screen alright.

So, as you can see, they're pretty much lower at the same time. Alright, so they have a little add going on there and let's see the next one of the lists. We have ABC Mouse, so we're going to go ahead. One two three go: let's see a little quicker on the seven engine, so the seven Jen is slightly quicker not by much not a huge of a difference between this. This loading speeds between both and as you can see, are pretty much like the color on the seventh gen on the six.

Are you pretty much prefer the color on the sixth gen a little as you can see the color profiles on these? It's slightly different. You have brighter colors on the sixth gen. For some reason, it's a little brighter. The colors are a little more punchy. Alright, so we're going to have the next one on the list, which is geometry light, so we're going to hit this boom.

So, as you can see the seven gen1 there again, you can clearly see that the seven gen1 they're slightly quicker than the six gent as you can see. So, let's hit this play boom same time, alright, so that was down, so the next one on the list is Roblox. So here we go. Let's go to Roblox we're going to hit Roblox, see which one goes through faster, seven Mexican. So you can see the seven Jen loaded a little quicker on the test here.

So it's slightly quicker. It's not by much. It has an extra gig of ram, but it's not that much faster than the six Jen. So if that's a deciding factor for you guys I doubt if we price wise, it makes sense getting the seven Jen if they're the same price or just slightly higher on the seventh, then you can go with the seven. But if it's a huge get like a hundred bucks difference, I would definitely stick with the six Jen.

Alright, so I'm going to go ahead and start a game here on Roblox and see how it performs the speed. Let's go, one two three go, and we're going to hit play and slightly quicker on the six Jenny yeah. It's pulling ahead now on the six Jen. So this game, you definitely see that it moves, so we're going to hit play here again, let's see how it is, and the six Jen seemed like it. Pretty much went through a little quicker, but this is stuck on the screen.

So that's why all right, so we're going to go ahead and do a test on these again anyways. So last but not least, this game requires a lot of power and RAM as well, and this is for night. So, as you can see what I did in this test, I left games running in the background, so we can take up as much RAM as possible on these devices. So when I hit a put on a heavy DVD game like for tonight, we'll see how it performs. Okay, as far as starting up so for tonight, we go one two three and launch so fortnight is loading here, as you can see, moving a little quicker on their seventh gen on my right here.

As you can see, so there we go they're on play. Seven Jen got there a little quicker, so we're going to hit play here to see how it starts up all right. So now they're loading, let's see which one goes through quicker, so we're playing the waiting game here to see which one loads faster so still loading. Let's wait and see what happens here, and the sixth gen pulled through on the other screen a little quicker, let's see which one takes it to the menu quicker and the six gen pulled ahead a little. Let's see how it performs here to get to the menu and, as you can see and on fortnight, which is a heavy-duty game takes up a lot of RAM a lot of processing to start up.

As you can see, it started up a little quicker on the six gen. Surprisingly, I thought it would do better on the seventh gen, but I was wrong here. So we're going to go ahead and hit play and see what happens here on boat. He got a little late on the sixth gen. So, let's see here it's loading all right, so the seven Jen started up a little quicker.

So what I'm going to do here? I'm going to open this up, I'm going to go ahead and close for at night, and we're gonna. Do it again since when I hit play, I didn't hit him at the same time, so we're going to have a fear, speed test between four and nine. So let's go heat it again. Let's see how it goes through here again, if we're going to have the same results, so we're waiting for this again connecting, and it started quicker on the six Jen again he got to the play button quicker. So let's hit play loading again, so we're waiting for this to load again.

So, as you can see for a night, we did two tests here before we actually can get it right. So I'm going to try to hit the play at the same time when I get to that many screens. Again it was a pretty one messed up the first time and as you can see, we are having the same results here. The six Jen is pulling ahead a little quicker than the seven Jen on this one. Alright, so we're in the loading screen, let's see what's on which one loads quicker and as you can see, the 6th gen started faster again.

So let's hope we get this right this time and hit play at the same time. Alright, so there we go, we got it. Let's see which one goes through quicker now so 6 Jen is leading on this one, actually, surprisingly, surprising, is done a second test, and it's still beating the 7 Jen for some reason. Alright, so, let's see which one going to get to the play screen quicker, alright, still waiting they're, both loading, let's see who's going to be the winner here on a fortnight. There we go and we have their results.

As you can see, the 6th generation iPad actually performed better on the fortnight than the arm. As far as gameplay I'm sure the 7 gen performs better, but starting up the 6th gen actually started quicker. Alright. So what I'm going to do here that just steps up media real, quick, alright, so I'm going to go back to the home screen move around a little. You can see they're smooth they're, both smooth.

So it's not bad. You know alright, so we're going to close this screen here and as told as I said before. I left all these apps running in the background. So now what we're going to do we're actually going to go back and try to open some of these. So let's go back here, alright, so this one they both started over right here.

As you can see, this one had the play up. This one didn't have it, let's close, that let's go back here, and we're going to go all 4/9. So, on the same screen see it's a little lag on the 6th gen. Here, let's go back to ABC Mouse here we're gonna, see the difference. So, as you can see, the 6th gen actually rebooted the app the 7th gen actually had it and decided on the same screen.

So you can see where the RAM comes in there. You can see where the RAM comes in right there. Let's go to GA world geometry light. Here there we go again: seed restarted on the 6th gen, the 7 gen has the same menu, but that will tear on alright. Alright, let's go to YouTube kids see we started on the sixth gen, and you can see where the ramps compromise.

The RAM comes into play here. The extra Gig RAM on the seventh gen. Alright, let's go talking ginger see what happens same results again, reboot it on the sixth gen, seven Jenny's on the same screen. So this is where I'm going to keep saying this, that the RAM is very, very important guys. So, let's go to YouTube and see what happens YouTube.

Somehow it looks like it rebooted on the 6 a little here. Alright, let's go to what's the other app, we went on chores, we're gonna, go to pandas real first star, they restarted on top and the 6 Jen pulled ahead a little on the restart started, quick around the 6th gen. For some reason, don't get me around. The 6th gen is a pretty quick device. It's just a ram that the RAM on the 7 gen is definitely better, though, as you can see, we started on the TV app as well, and the 6th gen started quicker again on the speed test.

All right, so I think we've had a winner here as far as loading they're, both even as far as loading, because sometimes the sevens and sevens a little quicker. Sometimes the 6 is a little quicker, but when it comes to ram performance, the 7 is a beast. It clearly beats out the 6th gen when it comes to ram okay, so I'm going to go back and try some else again. Let's go back to geometry, see still here on the 6 7 Jen on the 6 it's starting over, so you can see that the RAM is very important. So we have three gigs X 3 gigabytes of RAM here on the seventh and two gigabytes of RAM here on the sixth string, and you definitely see that the RAM makes a difference in low reloading the apps.

That's we're left in the background. If you want to leave apps running in the background, so definitely a deciding factor if you're a person who likes to leave your apps running in the background and go back and continue where you left off, then I would definitely go with the 7th gen as if, if just the price is a deciding factor for you, the 7th gen might not be much more expensive, and it's a newer one. It has an extra Gig ramp, so you can go with that device. Ok, so, as you can see, we successfully completed a speed test here today. I hope you guys enjoyed the video hope.

This helps you out in deciding on which of these iPads. You want to get clearly. You can edit the speed, not much difference in the speeds here. That would not be really a deciding factor for me, but as far as the RAM, it's a huge factor, because you want to leave apps running and go back and continue where you left off and this the 7 gen proves to be the iPad for that. If you're, that kind of person who want to leave your apps running and go back in to continue okay, so hope you guys enjoy the video remember to head on down below hit the like button, subscribe turn on that notification bell, and please help me out subscribe, watch my videos.

They have this channel girl, okay, because I really have a passion for this, and I really want to get this channel going guys I'm trying to get some more devices, so I could do some tests and reviews on some Apple devices. Okay, so remember to head on down below like share and subscribe alright and head on to my next video, as you can see from before, I forget to mention here. This tablet has a cracked screen protector: I'm going to replace it. So you can see my other video on that. Okay, so I'll be replacing the screen protector on the server engine in my next video.

So please watch out for that. Okay, thank you for watching peace.
