Xperia 1ii Vs S20 Ultra Vs Huawei P40 Pro | Speed Test, Battery Test & Thermals

So you're fast. That feels like an oversimplification welcome to what gear reviews today is another speed test, and it is the much requested Sony Xperia 1 mark ii, which is rocking a snapdragon 865 chipsets versus the Huawei p40 pro, which is rocking the Karin 990 Huawei's own flagship chipset versus the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra, which has got the Enos chipset in it, not the snapdragon. So we got three flagships: smartphones, three flagships, seven nanometer processors. The question is which one is the fastest and also which one is the most thermal efficient. So let's get this off with a boot up, speed test all right. So here's how we're going to do this video first, we're going to run an tutu in the background.

So what this is going to do is going to keep tabs on the temperature of the CPU and the batteries, and I did run the full test to see how these phones stack up, and these are the results that we got so the Enos actually won with the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra, followed up by the Huawei p40 pro and then the Sony with the snapdragon. Now these results might be something to do with the ram and stuff like that. It's not actually a clear indication as to which silicon is better, but what's more important is testing it out with real world apps to see how they perform, how quickly they can open and close these, whilst keeping things running in the background and just to give you a bit more perspective on the three phones and how they perform. Let's have a quick look at geek bench as well. I ran the tests on all three of the phones, and this is the results we got so once again, the Enos 990 is topping the charts here on the single core, with 947, followed up then by the Kieran 990 and then by the snapdragon, but then on the multi-core score, the Sony actually has the highest result with 3056, followed up by the Samsung and then the Huawei.

So some interesting results here. It's not all black and white, but, like I said before, what's more important is how they perform with real world tasks. So what I'm going to do here is I'm going to open these first five apps, which are pretty demanding games when it comes to graphics, we'll open all five of those by hand, and I'll line them up in post editing to make sure there's no mistake when it comes to touching the screen at the right time, and we'll see which phone can open those apps the fastest, then the second five apps. What I'm going to do is use the voice assistant. So for the Sony I'm gonna use, Google Assistant for the Huawei, I'm going to use Celia, which is Huawei's own assistant and then for the Samsung.

I'm going to use Bixby to try and open these five day-to-day apps. So we've got speed tests with games. We've got AI test with voice recognition, and we're going to look at the core temperatures and battery temperatures. At the end you ready, let's go so do now. After opening the five apps, let's take a look at the temperature of the CPU, and these are screenshots taken immediately after the five gaming apps were open.

The hottest by far is the Samsung with the Enos 990 at 47 degrees. The coolest is actually the Kieran 990 at 33 degrees and not far behind. That is the snapdragon 865 in the Sony, like I said before, guys, the build of the phone may affect the results here, because if you have a good cooling system, the CPU can stay cooler, so it's not all down to the chipset that the phones are using anyway. Let's take a look at the battery temperatures as well same thing happened here. I took screenshots of the battery temperatures immediately after running the tests, and you can see the phone that lost the least amount of batteries is the Huawei, the one that lost the most actually was the Sony and not far behind.

That was the Samsung in terms of temperatures, though, we've got 31 degrees here, 31.4 on the Sony. The coolest again is the Huawei and second place is actually the Enos 990, so the Sony actually ran the hottest when it comes to battery temperatures all right. So now it's time to test out the AI assistants on board these three devices. So we have the Google Assistant here on the Sony Xperia 1 mark ii. We have the Celia assistant, which is Huawei's new assistant for the Huawei p40 pro, and then we've got Bixby here on the s20 ultra, let's see which one can perform tasks activated by my voice: the fastest, open, Amazon, open ways, open tick, took, open, Reddit, open, prime video all right.

So, let's revisit the CPU temperatures and the battery temperatures before we round off this video. So again the Enos running the hottest is flicking between 48 and 52 degrees Celsius, which is pretty hot for the CPU. The coolest is the Kira 990 at 31 degrees, which is pretty much, and it's even dropping to 30, which is pretty much where it's been throughout. The entire test and the snapdragon here in the Sony is around 35, which is respectable. Now, let's look at the battery temperatures, and you can see the coolest again is the Huawei.

The Sony is not far behind at 31.7 and the hottest at the moment is the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra and, like I said before, guys, there are various factors that can affect the outcome here. In terms of screen size and battery size, and all this kind of other hardware features that some phones have anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this speed test video with a battery test and thermal performance test included. If you did, I appreciate it thumbs up and check out these three photos guys I've got a camera comparison between these three phones coming up very soon, so make sure you subscribe turn on your notifications. For that I appreciate you guys, and I'll see you in the next one.
