Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Unboxing & First Impressions

All right folks, it's time for another unboxing, and today I have got my hands on the Redmi Note 9. Earlier I unboxed the Redmi Note 9s and its video is already up on my channel, and this is the time to unbox the lowest model of the Redmi. Note 9 series: it's a Redmi Note 9, with its picture right up front on the box, and here you can see the phone in green color on the left side and the right side. We have the Redmi Note 9 branding once again and at the bottom we have some details of this particular variant. For instance, this is in the forest green color. This one also comes in the midnight gray color and in the white color as well.

Now this variant in my hands has got a ram of four gigs and its internal storage is one to eight gigabytes other than that the contents of the box are listed at the bottom, so without any further ado, let's go ahead and get this phone out of its box. Now this is a warranty card of this headset, and it comes with 12 months of warranty. In my country, by the way, those of you who are interested in the price of this phone, it retails for around 199 dollars, and you can definitely find the price for other all other regions on your screen right now. So let's go ahead and get this phone out of the box right up front. We have this envelope and here, first, we have the same eject tool of this phone.

Here is some paperwork. If you are having a lot of free time, you can definitely give it a read or just throw it in the trash can- and here is the CPU case of the Redmi Note 9. Now this is a CPU case and this is not of the best quality. Unfortunately, but I think it's good enough to protect your phone from the falls, and here is a Redmi Note, 9 right at the top of this sticker, you can see that this phone has got a 48 megapixel AI quad camera, 13 megapixels in display front camera, a 5020 my ti type battery with 18 for watt fast charging. It has a 6.53 inches, full HD, plus dot display with gorilla glass 5 on the front, and it's got a high performance, hello g85 chipset. Now this is a 12 nanometer, high efficiency, processor, and it comes from MediaTek.

I will turn this phone on, and I will put it on a site and in the meanwhile we will take a look at other contents of the box. So this is the 18 watt fast charging brick of the Redmi Note 9. You can take a look at it here and then here is the USB type-c cable of the Redmi Note 9. Let's take the wraps off from the Redmi Note 9. All right.

I will quickly set this phone up, and I will see you in a bit. So it's asking to set up the fingerprint scanner right now, so it's a good chance to check out the performance of the rear, mounted fingerprint scanner of the Redmi Note 9. So here is the rear, mounted fingerprint scanner of this phone. So, let's just try it, so the phone is now fully set up and first, I would like to show you its fingerprint scanner's performance, and here you can see that as soon as I touch it, the phone unlocks itself, so the rear mounted optical reader is undoubtedly one of the best fingerprint scanner solutions. Even today, let us take a look at its wheel now here on the right side of the phone, you will find its power button and the volume rocker.

These are not the very tactile buttons, but they are not bad either. Now, at the top, you can find it sir blaster and its secondary noise cancellation mic on the left side. You can find the sim card slot. Let's check out in this sim card slot, you can put in two NATO sim cards and a micro SD card to expand its storage up to 512 gigabytes, and here at the bottom, you can find its USB type c port. There is a bottom firing, speaker, grille a primary mic, and then there is a headphone jack.

Now at the back, you can find these four cameras. There is a 48 megapixel main shooter here there is an 8 megapixel, ultra white camera, and then there is a 2 megapixel depth sensor and a 2 megapixels macro camera. Now the LED flash is mounted here towards the top right side of the camera mount, and then there is this fingerprint scanner that I have already talked about at the bottom is some Redmi branding now this is actually the forest green color, but it resembles the aurora blue color of the Redmi Note 9s and the Redmi Note 9 pro as well. The phone is completely built out of plastic. This is not the best in class, and it also happens to be a fingerprint magnet, as you can see that I have just pulled this phone out of the box and its rear is already full of smudges.

Now the frame of this phone is also built out of plastic, and I think that Redmi could have added a little of premiums here, but if it is plastic, and it feels very much like plastic. So this is how the phone looks inside its CPU case. It's pretty solid and easily graspable okay. So this one weighs at about 201 grams, and it's 10 grams, lighter than the Redmi Note 9s on the front you get this 6.53 inches full HD display. Now this is a dot drop display, and you can see the punch hole is here on the top left side of the phone.

This is a really tiny punch hole. This phone is running on the android 10 out of the box, themed by the mini 11. Now, when you will turn this phone on for the very first time, you will find that the software has consumed over 18 gigabytes of its storage, and you are left with only 110 gigabytes of storage. Now, if this seems less to you, you can definitely expand it with the help of the micro SD card, and here is your look at the android version of the Redmi Note 9 now. Obviously, this phone does not have that premium touch that we have seen in the Redmi Note 9s.

I am yet to unbox the Redmi Note 9 pro, so I cannot really say anything about that phone. As far as the camera application of this handset is concerned, it's also pretty much similar to what we have seen on the Redmi Note 9s. This application comes with an integrated document scanner, it has a dedicated 48 megapixels mode, and then it has a pro mode, which also supports the pro video mode as well. One of the greatest things about this camera application is that we get the raw capability in the pro mode. As far as the video resolution is concerned, the Redmi Note 9 can do 1080p at 30 frames per second 720p at 30 frames per second, it does not have the 4k or the 1080p at 60 frames per second.

The same goes for the front camera as well. It can do 1080p at 30 frames per second for the front camera as well. The phone also has slow motion, and it can shoot, I think, 120 or 240 frames per second at max. Now many of you would be interested in knowing what basic differences do we have between the Redmi Note 9s and the Redmi Note 9. So here is the Redmi Note 9.

First, you do not get the Redmi Note 9 in the colors that the Redmi Note 9s is being offered in this is the 4s green color, and this is the aurora blue color. Now here, first, you can see that the Redmi Note 9s has its fingerprint scanner mounted on the right side in the power button, but the Redmi Note 9 has its fingerprint scanner at the back. The Redmi Note 9s is kind of a premium device. It's got a glass back which is protected by the gorilla glass 5, but on the other hand the Redmi Note 9 is built out of plastic. It has the gorilla glass 5 on the front.

Only now by all the means, the Redmi Note 9 seems like a cheap device and there is a lot of premiums to the Redmi Note 9s, which cannot be denied at all other than that. You can see that there is a difference between the placement of the LED flash here. Also, the Redmi Note 9s has got a 6.67 inches IPS LCD panel. The Redmi Note 9 also has got the IPS LCD panel, but there is a huge difference between the quality of these displays. You can quickly judge which one is a Redmi Note 9 and which phone is a Redmi Note 9s by just looking at these phones from the front.

Also, the Redmi Note 9s is powered by the Qualcomm snapdragon 720g chipset, but the Redmi Note 9 is powered by the MediaTek hello g85. Now the GPU in the Redmi Note 9 is a Mali mc2 GPU. I am not sure about the performance of this one, but we will see that in the gaming review of the Redmi Note 9. As far as the battery is concerned, this phone has got a 5020 my type battery, which can be charged with the 18 watt fast charger. The camera sensors of this phone are also not specified.

I will definitely try to find out which camera sensors are used here, and I will mention that in the camera review of the Redmi Note 9. Now there are so many videos coming out about the Redmi Note 9 on my channel. So if you are new here, please make sure that you hit the subscribe button and press the bell icon as well.
