What's up guys this is Sean heather and in this video we are going to have a detailed review of Xiaomi Poco m3 pro 5g smartphone. So we are going to talk about its design, features, performance, camera quality and all of its pros and cons. So here we go. First, let's talk about the design. The front side comes with 84 screens to body ratio, so we got a bit of bezels at the bottom and also on the sides. The screen is protected by gorilla, glass 3, and it also comes with a screen protector.
Pre-Applied. We got a punch hole in the center of the screen for the front-facing camera and the Poco m3 pro 5g does not come with, and one drawback here is that the Poco m3 pro 5g does not come with notification. Led we got a 3.5 mm jack at the top. Another good thing is that we got an IR plaster that you can use to control your home appliances right from your Xiaomi Poco m3 pro 5k. It comes with two NATO sim card slots, and it would be nice if there was a dedicated micro, SD card slot provided as well.
The frame and the back panel is made of plastic, but because of the glossy finish, it looks like a glass back panel, but the bad part is that it attracts lots of fingerprints and smudges, and you will have to keep cleaning the back panel of your Poco m3 pro 5g very frequently, and it would be nice if the Poco branding was a bit smaller. It comes with no IP certification, so the device is not even a splash resistant, but considering the pricing it was still kind of justified. We got a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power key that is very fast and accurate and works perfectly every single time. It is 8.9 mm thin and weighs just 190 grams, so it is very easy to use and handle with just one single hand overall in terms of design and build quality. Xiaomi Poco m3 pro 5g looks quite beautiful and premium and way above its price segment.
Now talking about the screen, we got 6.5 inch, full HD, plus IPS LCD screen with 84 percent screen to body ratio, so the PPI you will get is 405 and because of that, the display quality is quite sharp. The viewing angles are also very nice, and it supports wide vine l1 dram. So you can watch HD content on streaming services like Netflix. You got a 90 hertz screen on Poco m3 pro 5g, and you can switch between 90 hertz and 60 hertz, depending on your preference. The maximum brightness is 400 nits and even though it is not too much, you will be able to use the device in outdoors without facing any issue talking about the performance.
It comes with MediaTek dimension, 700 processors, that is quite nice for daily usage. We got 6gb ram. That is good enough for average multitasking, and you won't feel any issue in your day-to-day usage. Talking about the gaming, the performance of Xiaomi Pok?mon 3, pro 5k was quite good, while playing Call of Duty. We were able to get up to 60 fps on the medium graphics setting and on PUBG mobile.
We achieved around 30 fps, most of the time, while playing it on high graphics setting. So if you are a gamer, you will be happy with the performance of Xiaomi Poco m3 pro 5g, considering its hardware and the pricing talking about the software Poco m3 pro 5g comes with mini 12.0 and android 11. Pua 12 is very feature-rich and comes with lots of nice features that you can use for better productivity, but the Poco m3 pro 5g also comes with lots of bloatware on this device, but the good part is that Xiaomi is providing the option to uninstall most of them, but still it would be nice if less plot wear were added in the ROM of Xiaomi Poco m3 pro 5k here talking about the battery life, it comes with 5000 image battery that is large enough to easily survive nearly one and half days on moderate usage. Mini 12 also provides lots of battery saving options that you can use to improve the battery life a lot. It comes with 18 watt charging, and it takes nearly 2 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent and in 30 minutes you will get around 32 to 35 percent battery charge, which is still not bad.
Talking about the camera, we got 48 megapixel primary camera, along with 2 megapixel macro lens and 2 megapixel depth sensor. On the front side, we got 8 megapixel front facing camera. It comes with lots of camera modes and options, but the camera performance of Poco m3 pro 5g is very average. The photos captured are average in quality and detailing, and they are just good enough for casual photography. It can record only 1080p resolution videos at 30 fps, and this is one of the drawback of the dimension 700 processors used in this device.
If you turn on the AI mode, then it just increases the color saturation and the exposure a bit that actually makes the image look a bit unrealistic. So personally, I would prefer to keep the AI mode turned off all the time and in the portrait mode performance gets a bit better. It creates nice bulky effect. The performance of the dedicated macro lens is not that great as well. It works okay only when the sufficient amount of light is available.
Otherwise, most of the time it's grainy and blurry. The low light imaging capability is also not that great, but the night mode helps a bit for sure and improves the low lighting imaging capability of the device a bit for sure. But the camera is never the highlighted feature of Xiaomi Poco m3 pro 5g, it's the most important feature of the device is that it brings the 5g capability without spending too much money. It is one of the most affordable and cheapest 5g smartphone currently available in the market and, if you're planning to buy one, then this is one of the best option for you. If you can ignore the fact that the camera performance is just moderate, and it does not come with an yip certification, so that's all for now.
