Xiaomi Mi Mix 4: All You Need to Know, Real PPT Leaks!! [English] By Sami Tech Tips

Hey, what’s up? Sami here. Xiaomi’s flagship phone the Mi Mix 4 will be released tmr on August 10th. Well, everything about this phone should be confidential and we shouldn’t be able to know anything about it apart from a teaser or leaked information here and there. I recently was watching some gaming in some Wechat groups when a guy suddenly sent out a file about the Mix 4. The file was named “Xiaomi Mix 4 reviewing guide. ” As I quickly browsed the whole file, 29 pages of PPT.

Oh my god! This is the real deal, this is crazy! I know some manufacturers will send the unit to some big reviewers… like me.. lol before the launch event and also the reviewing guide, but all of these are in the NDA and will be fined heavily if leaked before the embargo time. Well, I don’t know exactly how this file got leaked but for sure, this file has watermarks of one famous tech reviewer in China, not sure if he leaked it or not, but seems he will be in trouble. And for me I’m translating this file I might have trouble as well but I’m going to do it anyway, just for you guys. Just to be clear though guys, I have not signed an NDA for this product and am not on their official media list.

Alright, so this is the PPT for the Mi Mix 4 reviewing guide The 2nd page is the catalogue of the Mix 4. We can see the highlights, CUP full screen, unibody ceramic design etc, we’ll check them in details later, so let’s continue. Page three are the highlights. The first one is Mi Mix 4, CUP full screen.

CUP means “camera under panel”, finally after years of teasing, Xiaomi finally brings this technology to their official phones! Days ago, I reviewed Oppo’s under screen camera, it’s not bad but still in prototype stage, so I just can’t wait to see what Xiaomi has to offer since according to here Xiaomi has invested a staggering 500M RMB, about 77M USD and gained 60 patents on this technology. It also says Mix 4 will adopt the lightweight unibody precision ceramic material, which will give you the best hand feel, well I will let you know when I get my hands on one of these tomorrow, please subscribe! Also UWB feature and 120w wired fast charging and 50w wireless charging. The next four pages are all about the front facing camera. The solution from Xiaomi seems looks the same like Oppo, which by shrinking the size of each pixel without decreasing the number of pixels, but Xiaomi has a different pixel array, circuit, and ITO transparent wiring design. At the same time, Xiaomi has developed a series of sophisticated algorithms to make the selfie photos even better like “Point spread correction algorithm”, “Multiframe denoising algorithm”, “Multiframe dynamic range extension algorithm”, alright, these jargons are too hard to translate.

Anyway, they even offered a photo sample from Mix 4, the first photo is the camera preview photo, and this is taken by the Mix 4. From my experience if they really can produce such sharp, lifelike and vivid photos, then I would say this is the best under display camera I’ve ever seen. But you know, there is always a gap between the official photo and the real life photo you take, anyway I will let you know the real photo tomorrow. Subscribe please! Alright, the next two pages are about the ceramic material Mix 4 features. It says the Mix 4 adopts high purity nanometer cobalt oxide composite material, which is 30% lighter than traditional ceramics, making the ceramics are both light and strong for the first time, it’s the highest ceramic processing technology in this industry.

And from this page, we know Mix 4 will have three colors, ceramic white, black and this light grey color. Wow, looks so premium! And now to the battery part. The Mix 4 will have 4500mAh dual-string MTW graphene based anode lithium battery cell, it’s ultra-low internal resistance, and can greatly improve the charging speed and reduce the temperature rising. It offers 120w wired charging which enables you to charge 80% in 10 minutes, and 100% in just 15 minutes, that’s unbelievable! Mi Mix 4 also offers 50w wireless charging and you can fully charge it within 45min, and one good thing is the noise can be as low as 25dB, perfect even when you are sleeping. And the next few pages are about the UWB technology, which Xiaomi teased it last year, basically with this technology, your smartphone will be able to perceive signals from your smart devices in its surroundings and control smart devices when simply pointed towards them.

Welcome to the future guys. And also seems Xiaomi has optimized a lot for the phone signal for different scenarios like train, hospital, airport, metro station etc, they even claim Mi Mix 4 has the best signal quality among all Mi phones ever. Another interesting part is the anti-theft feature Mix 4 presented, even you lost your phone, people can’t force to turn it off, nor cut off internet, and you can clear the data remotely, that’s interesting, I can’t wait to try these things out! Now the main camera, Mix 4 sports 100MP HMX main snapper, 1/1.33’ super sensor, 7P camera lens design, 1.6um 4 in one fusion large pixel, and OIS. It also has 120degree anti-distortion super wide angle lens, here is the super wide angle photo sample. But very strange though, it doesn’t have other information about other snappers, let’s see tmr then.

The next three pages are about their AI translation, wow that’s really good. About the chipset, Mi Mix 4 will be the first smartphone to house SD 888+, ironically, they say it will have a good heat dissipation. Obviously, everyone knows the SD888 did a bad job on that, anyway, let’s see. Again, the speaker is tuned by Karmon Hardon and has a voiceprint noise cancelling feature which provides a clearer voice. And last page are all the specs of the Mi Mix 4.

Let me recap everything, the screen is 6.67’ AMOLED CUP full screen, the resolution is 2400x1080 and the touch sampling rate is 480Hz, and it supports True Tone color display, Dolby Vision, HDR10+. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is the strongest in the industry. Chipset is SD888+, storage is LPDDR5+UFS 3.1, here are the information for its heat dissipation area. For the camera department, apart from the 100MP HMX main shooter, it has 13MP super wide lens and 8MP 5x optical periscope telephoto lens and supports OIS as well, the front camera is 20MP, it has UWB, NFC and infrared control. Then the battery info, X axis linear motor, and the color.
