Xiaomi Mi Band 6 Hands On: FULL In-Depth Look and ALL Features Explained!

Hey guys welcome back to another video with LIM reviews, so today I'm super excited to share with you. The band 6 that I just got right here, courtesy of dasher, so dasher is releasing the band 6 right here, and you can also see it on my desk right in front of you, and it's going to go for rm169 here in Malaysia, so depending on, where you're from, if you're in Malaysia, and you want to buy the mini band.6, don't forget to check out the links in description below Dasha always comes up with the best promotions and, like I said, if you're looking for quick access to the mini band 6, that is where you will want to go all right so back to focusing on the mi band 6 right here that I have the one on the left. Here is actually the band 5, and this is the band 6. In terms of outlook. They look exactly the same right here. You can't really tell the difference until the display is turned on and previously on, the mi band 5.

We do have a tiny circular like touch capacitive button at the bottom right there, but with the mi band 6 we're getting a full uh display right here. That is way larger than what you get on the mi band, 5. So putting this down for a second we're going to go through everything that you need to know about the mini band 6 right here. This is the black strap version in terms of the strap. It is exactly the same again as the band 5 on previous years, so it's nothing too much to talk about there.

What is really new here is that super nice display alright, so again, side by side. You can see how big of a difference the display is compared to the previous version, where it had bezels on the top and bottom, but on the mi band 6 right here. Let me just turn that on you can see that it is a huge display right there, alright, so one of the main key features that I think is a huge change is in the amount of text that you can see here, and it is at a much larger font, so notice on the mi band 5. My previous concern with the mi band 5 was that the notifications here was really tiny. You could see quite a lot of text here but, like I said it is very, very small on the band 5, and it really hurt my eyes trying to see the notifications there, but with the band 6, you have such a nice font right here.

The font has been changed to look way clearer, and again you're, seeing a lot more of the text here very clearly on the band 6 itself, if you guys are wondering if it supports any like emojis and all that I'm going to send one to myself very quickly, so you have a clear idea on how it looks like and there you go. You can see a couple of emojis. Let me just zoom in right there, for you bear in mind that it only supports a couple of emojis, so not every single emoji that you send will be able to be seen on the display of the mi band 6. So yes, I'm going into the notifications right away. So that's what you need to know in terms of notifications on the band 6.

, all right! So now, let's just jump into everything else that you would want to see that you need to know about this device right here. So naturally, since we have a large screen display right here, so you don't have any back button anymore, but this is how you navigate on the mi band 6. So it's very similar to the mi band 5. , if you just glide over from left to right. This is where you get all your widgets.

It actually calls quick shortcuts to the apps that you have on the mi band 6 itself, so the main page here is obviously your watch face and if you go to the right, this is where I actually set it to show my current status, so I haven't actually walked anything with the mi band, so everything is zero right here. This shows your one week, uh kind of status for the band six, if you glide over this, is where I actually put in my heart rate monitor. So I can just tap on that and get a heart rate reading very quickly, uh. Moving on, I have my notifications, because I always want to have quick access to my notifications, and then you go back to your main display. So, like I said, everything here is customizable.

You can have any app to show up on the quick short card right here. That is actually a loop right there, and then you get back into your main watch face. My personal suggestion to you is, if you're getting the mi band 6, you should always put the notifications very quickly on your left or maybe on your right. So you can have a quick look at the notifications whenever it comes into your me band, just so much easier, all right, so we're just going to go back right here and go back into the main menu of course, pulling down from the top and going up from the bottom as well is also another loop. So this is where you get to see all your applications in the mi band, 6 itself and once more, this is actually customizable as well.

So you can actually choose what you want to show at which particular order. So let's just go on with every single one. So you have a quick idea on what is in the band, 6. All right, so I've already showed you the notifications first and foremost earlier on, so we're going to go next again. This is the status that I showed you as well.

This is where you have your weekly data on the number of steps that you have actually covered during your week itself. So that's pretty much very straightforward as well. Next thing you get to see is your pie, your pie, and this is actually a weekly kind of score on how you have performed over the week, so the higher, the more activities to do the higher your pie will be, and that means that your health and well-being is a little better as well all right. So moving down the list again here we have our heart rate uh. This is what I showed you earlier on.

Obviously you can scroll down to see a little more information. You can see whether you're on a relaxed kind of situation aerobic or all that so definitely, if you're working out at the time, you will see that you have a higher value over the aerobics and what they call it. The intensive as well all right so moving back here, we do have a brand-new feature. This is the spo2 reading and tapping it here definitely brings you to the measurement itself, so I did do a measurement earlier on, and I got a score of 93. It is fairly easy to do this test.

Just make sure you hold still when having the band on your wrist tightly secured and facing upwards to get that reading. It takes about a minute to get the reading out and, like I said yeah this is prey or what you get with the band. Six, all right! So moving down the the list here we do get into our workout modes, and we do have 30 sport modes here. So, first and foremost, you get your running your treadmills, you're walking, cycling, uh. Oh, it's! This rowing machine, yep elliptical, and you get your pool swimming.

So, yes, it still tracks your swims and all that your yoga jump rope. I know a lot of you guys, like that and freestyle so for more activities, you're going to want to hit that more button right there to get to see more stuff. So you have your dancer gymnastics. A hit and car training so yeah just a lot more activities in here. If you need this kind of stuff so yeah, you can see all the apps here on the all the kind of workouts that it tracks on the mi band, 6 right here and yeah, that's what you get with the mi band 6, so it still does not come with GPS built in then.

That means that you have to connect your smartphone with the mi band 6. Before going for your workout and just very quickly give you an idea on how it looks like so. Let's say I go into outdoor running, so it will tell me to open my app here, which I will do right now on the phone itself, so it still uses the fit app. Give me one: second, it should connect about now all right, so let's just wait for it. Okay, so we do have position locked in because my app is now turned on and if I just hit go right here, let me show you what is actually being tracked, so you have a brief idea on that.

So obviously you have your time, your distance, your pace, uh your average pace, your cadence, your stride, calories and yeah. I'm sure you'll show up your speed as well. Once you get the whole workout done, so I'm not going to do the workout now, obviously, because I'm sitting indoors right here, so I'm just going to end that for now but yeah. This is just to give you a quick idea on how you know this is all the data that you can see. That is being tracked for your current activity, all right so going back uh.

This is what is: is for workout I'll. Do the full test in my full review. This is just a quick impression. Uh moving down. Let's just see you have your workout history, so you also have your stress, so I also did test this out earlier on.

So it shows your amount of stress that you're facing at the moment. Yeah again, you can take that with a pinch of salt, because sometimes the stress readings isn't that accurate. Apart from that, you have your breathing exercises, so you have a couple of intervals here that you can use to track your breathing exercises moving down. We do have your events, so you can actually set up your events in the app itself to give you this kind of reminders on what events you want to take note of so, for example, for myself right here. I have this event reminder to remind me to take my pills every night, so that's there right you can again, like I said at the events' reminder in your app itself.

You also have your alarms, I'm just going to show you that very quickly very standard stuff here. Moving down the list, you have your weather, so the weather still looks the same, but again because we have this larger display. You can see a lot more of information right here from the uh from the mi band 6 itself and the fonts, like I say, guys, it's just so much more readable, so much more visible and so much easier to read on the mi band 6, because don't forget this is still a fairly small display right here going down the list. We also have your music control so bear in mind. We do not have internal storage here, so you can't store songs in there, but you can control your music uh from the mini band itself uh.

Furthermore, we also have your timer, your world clock yeah. This is still the same stuff as what we had on the mi band 5. So there's a couple of countries in there as well and moving down the list. This is where you get your camera shortcut, so it works with iOS. I've tried it on my iPhone, and it also works with android devices.

So don't worry about that. It's fairly easy to use just launch your camera, app on your smartphone and click that button there to take a photo fairly, straightforward, guys moving down the list, you have your stopwatch, you'll find your device and finally your settings. So again you can choose to hide any of these apps here directly on the phone itself. It's very simple. One thing to note here is uh.

Let me just show you very quickly on the mi band 5 previously you could only show one app per page right there, and it was quite frustrating, but on the mi band 6 right here, you can see a lot of apps two apps actually, and it actually glides over uh. It's like a very nice scroll here that you have on the mi band. Six so definitely appreciate the larger display here on the band. Six, all right so in terms of settings here, uh, I'm just going to go through very quickly. We do have your band display do not disturb your lock screen.

You can obviously choose when you want to show the display to light up for and for how many seconds. So we do not have always on obviously on this me band 6 right here. You can only choose to show your watch phases, and you can just close the screen like that by just tapping on the display itself, so very easy there in terms of watch phases. Yes, we do have a quite few watch faces that you can find in the app itself. So I did download a couple, so you can only have an additional three watch faces.

Uh three custom watch phases that is saved in the band six itself. Apart from that, you also have the three default ones. So a total of six watch phases in the mi band six, so just in case you're wondering the transfer speeds for each watch face is actually fairly quick, and I do have a SpongeBob animated watch face right here. Just want to show you guys very quickly, so it supports animated watch phases as well. You got quite a few interesting ones, but I decided to go with uh, which one was it again yeah.

I think this is my favorite one right here, because it shows all your information in a very clear and simple minimalist manner. So this is the watch face that I've been using and will probably be the one that I use all right guys, so before we go, I just want to show you a little more of the health monitoring features that is actually shown in the mi fit app, so the mi fit app right here has been updated to support the mi band 6, and that is because we do have more stuff in terms of a health monitoring that the mini band 6 tracks. So obviously we do have I'm already zoomed into my display right here, so you can see it clearer. So obviously we do have your heart rate alert, all-day heart rate adder. Apart from that, you have your activity, heart rate monitoring, so I've turned this on as well.

It also has this new abnormal heart beat, so the mi band 6 will actually like to give you some notifications if it detects some kind of abnormal heart rates going on. So I've turned that on as well. Moving down the list, we do have your sleep assistant right here, so it now has assisted sleep monitoring and what this means is that it would automatically increase the heart rate measurement so that it can track your heart rate during your sleep even more better. So I've turned that on as well now moving down the list. We also have your sleep breathing quality monitoring, so it will actually track your breathing quality during your sleep.

So I'm not sure how this will actually help you out in terms of your health monitoring, but that feature is in here, so I've also turned that on moving down the list. You also have your stress, uh, continuous stress monitoring. So obviously I also turn that on the interval, for this is every five minutes uh the band six will actually track your stress levels uh, so that you can actually tell how your stress is throughout the entire day, all right guys, I think that's pretty much it uh in terms of the band 6. That is everything that you would probably need to know from the device itself. Like I said I will be testing this device out here to show you how accurate is it uh? I think the full review will be out in a week, because that's pretty much how much time I will need to test it out in terms of the sensors note that it has a little of a different layout.

You can see. The layout here is slightly different from the band 5, but yeah I'm expecting a lot of great things from the mi band 6 right here again, uh the mi band 6 is seeing a major upgrade just in terms of the display, and I think it's a huge it's a huge deal right here, because on the previous me band 5 I mean it was a great device. It still comes with two weeks of battery life right here, but with such a nicer better display to really just check out your notifications and all that, because reading on this thing right here is just so much better guys. So this is one thing that you need to take note of uh all right guys. I think that's pretty much it for the Ben 6 video.

If you have any more questions or if there is something that you would want me to test out, please let me know down in the comment section below if you like this video, please give me that thumbs up, because it helps the channel, and I'll see you guys in the next one bye.
