Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Unboxing & Hands On By My Next Tablet

Hey enter here for my next tablet. Come today with an unboxing and hand sort of a smartphone. They Xiaomi me 90 Pro, let's get to it. Alright I ordered and got the Xiaomi me 90 Pro, which is available in a couple of European countries and I believe in Malaysia, and probably some other countries as well. It is available in China as read: Mackay 220, pro yeah, retina, K 20, provide believe that's the name in China and in another couple of other countries, so they had two phones which are the same phones, but the names are different, depending on where you're from anyway it's a first smartphone, that's from Xiaomi, that's directly available in Germany here I paid 399 euro as an early starter sale, but usually it cost around 450, us, and I'm sure prices are similar, converted to US dollars elsewhere in the world and yeah. You can see me I'm, taking the phone here, gonna check out the phone first, if you have so quite nice design, a glass back, I'm sure we will see some fingerprints and yeah.

Then we have a sim eject tool. Sadly, there's no micro SD card slot, but at least you can eject the SIM tray, and then we've got Quick, Start, Guide, warranty and so on and what's quite nice, we've got a smaller case here and then standard USB see to type a cable. You can, of course, charger and yeah. The setup is like on pretty much every Android device. First, you put in your life I.

Then you can and inside assume, if you want to put in your Google credentials and what's special about this, one is the fingerprint scanner which is underneath the screen so like with some other modern smartphones and like with the Samsung Galaxy Tab. As six, the fingerprint scanner sits underneath the display, and you can set it up when for starting at, or later it doesn't matter that much yes, since I shot the first part of this unboxing video, a couple of hours have power already, and I test at the camera better and a couple of benchmarks and attack gaming test, so that I have a little more to tell you about this quite interesting smartphone, which certainly has flagship hardware, but is a lot cheaper than a Galaxy Note or something alright, let's get with design first, and we've got a six point. Three nine-inch screen on the front, and you are seeing that there is no not or no cutout for the camera, because the camera actually pops out, like we've, seen on a couple of other smartphones and there's a very small bezel on the bottom here, very small bezels on the side. So that's quite nice, then we've got a glass back yeah, but if that's glass, you will certainly see your fingerprints quite fast and yeah I believe, and it's also a bit slippery, not just because of the glass spec, but also because the camera has this little bump here, and I had placed it on here earlier, and it was sliding down slowly yeah. That's because of slippery back here.

I got the black version, there's also a blue version and a red version, and the wet version looks quite nice, but that wasn't available in Germany. Yet where I got it, and we've got three cameras on the back, there's eight megapixel telephoto camera, then there's a forty, eight megapixel main camera and a 13 megapixel wide-angle camera, and we've got an LED flashlight below it by the way society camera has a resolution of 20 megapixels the sight here. The bezel has a frame, that's not metal, it's plastic, that's certainly a downside and that's where you can see that it is not a super high-end premium device. Yeah! It's a plastic bezel here around the best plastic frame seems to be we're made, and we've got a power. You know the volume rocker here then the power button and then on the bottom.

We've got one single speaker and there's some quality love. That's because actually pretty good, it's quite loud, but it's just one speaker. So you won't have any stereo separation. Then we've got a microphone, a USB, C port and then SIM tray. Let's quickly get it out, so you can check it out, and you can put in two SIM cards, so the dual SIM slot, which I really like because I travel a lot and actually always have two sims in my phone.

So that's nice to see. However, it would also be nice to see if you can put in a micro SD card in one of those slots, but yeah, that's not possible. On this side. We've got nothing and on the top. Well, it's really nice to see if we still have a standard, headphone jack, that's nice, and we need a selfie camera I'm again, 20 megapixels yeah.

So much about the design of the Xiaomi me 19. Pro, let's check out the screen as I said, it's a six point. Three nine inch display was a tall aspect ratio, and it's a AMOLED screen, and it probably made from Samsung by Samsung, and it's a pretty nice one saturation is nice, I already used it outside in direct Sun, because it's very warm here right now, and it's readable. It's not the brightest green ever, but it's certainly decent, and you will be able to use it outside without many issues. It has a resolution of 23 40 by 1080.

So basically it's a full HD screen, but a little taller and towards the top and on a 6.3, 9-inch screen. I think the pixel density is fine. Everything looks nice and sharp, especially when you use two tablets. Screens smartphones at least mid-range and higher ones are always a bit sharper than tablet screens at least usually so yeah the screen is pretty nice. Let's get to its internal hardware inside runs a Snapdragon 800 55 from Qualcomm, which is one of the highest and ships Qualcomm is making right now.

So it's on the same level as pretty much every other high and Android phone at the moment, which is nice. Then we get six gigabytes of RAM and the 128 gigabyte internal storage. In some countries you can also get it with 256 gigabytes, but I got the 128 gigabyte version again, there's no, my stick hard, so I'm no micros card slot, so you have to get the storage option that you want. We also get a four thousand William hour battery, which is quite big, and it has Wi-Fi there's an EDD. It has Wi-Fi Bluetooth and NFC and GPS.

Of course, that's included as well. I already did take some important screenshots. First, out of those 128 gigabyte ten point: six gigabyte are used by the system out of the box, so that's Android itself and the menu I and the pre-installed apps and I already ran unto tool and on to benchmark, and it's got three hundred sixty-four thousand points which is abnormal for a Snapdragon 855 which just on their like other phones and in Geek bench. It got three thousand four hundred sixty and almost eleven thousand points and might equal test and that again was very similar to other Snapdragon 855 devices like the Samsung Galaxy Tab s. Six, for example.

That's the other one Snapdragon 855 I'm, using at the moment- and you can see my gaming test- you right now, I'm running puppy, mobile, and it looks really nice on the screen and the graphics look. Really nice too. You can select HDR, graphics and the frame rate is set to extreme and yeah at once very smoothly and the graphics look really nice on here and on the screen as well, I'd quite like to display and yeah. So it seems to be a perfect gaming phone. If you want to do a lot of gaming.

However, while I play pop some mobile, the phone got quite hot, so that's obviously a downside of high-end gaming network at quite hot. But let's talk about the cameras a bit again on the back. We've got three cameras: there's a standard camera, a forty, eight megapixels one, then there's a wide-angle camera, which is a 13 megapixel, come on and then there's an 8 megapixel telephoto camera, which basically is to time zoom and the white angle. One is 0.6 times zoom, zoom out and yeah. We also have an LED flash and again the selfie camera that pops out.

Let me quickly show you there. That's how you see it that pops out like that that one has a resolution of 20 megapixels, so, so much about the cameras. I did do a couple of tests already. You are seeing them here right now and the main cameras on the back take pretty good photos. I'm, especially, is a forty, eight megapixel one I quite like the quality.

We don't have any optical image stabilization on any of them, so that's certainly missing from some other premium devices for the much quality of the cameras is pretty good the main camera and take the best photos, but the wide-angle one is okay too, and the zoom and one is alright as well. The same goes for videos, it's decent quality, not amazing, but certainly good, but I noticed that the telephoto camera is not used when you zoom in two times on video mode, and it uses the main camera and crops into that one. So for video, the telephoto camera is not used, that's important to know, and you can see it instantly. It's quite noisy because it's cropped in from the main camera yeah, so telephoto for video is certainly not idea, but otherwise it seems to be fine, I read and that a couple of people complained about the selfie camera, but the quality you've seen example two here and to me, it seemed all right. Nothing amazing again, but seems okay.

I will certainly have to test that in more detail by the way, there's no optical image stabilization. But if you are in video mode, then you can use electronic image stabilization, which works okay, but for that it obviously crops in the picture a bit. Alright, let's get to the software of this Xiaomi me 90 Pro on it is running Android, 9 pi, let's go confirmed here and on top of Android nine sit Sammy UI in version 10 point 3.1 that the current interface from Xiaomi and, as you can see already it customized the interface really heavily, especially compared to vanilla Android. It also looks much different from the one you I or the emotion UI. For example, the one year is Samsung in Z in we emotionalized Huawei's and yeah the design you have to get used to the bit I, don't think it looks bad, but electron at Android 2, but doesn't seem too bad to me.

Yep drawers missing. That's a bit sad Alex, the app drawer, and you can't activate it, so I've got tons of apps pre-installed they've got their own browser gather we music security feature. Then there's a calculator, FM, radio, a contest, a screen, recorder and so on. Then. Obviously, the Google Apps are pre-installed all the standard ones, including the Google Play Store, by the way and weather app calendar files manager operas pre-installed.

The notes at Netflix WPS offers Facebook and AliExpress a pre-installed and by the way, I did a Netflix test. Already you can watch Netflix in 1080p, yeah I installed those benchmarks and the game myself by the way. I also installed manual camera because it was then that camera app. You cannot take raw photos and I wanted to try, if that's possible on here, and it works with another camera app. You can take DMG photos, and you don't have to take Jet ix, but that's only five from hypes a stock camera app supports.

Alright, so yeah, I don't know what else to say about the software there really tons of settings yeah, there's a double tap to wake. You can activate it. You can have raised to wake activated, however, with the fingerprint scanner. I. Don't need that in the print scanner works pretty well, maybe not super fastest, but yeah it works.

So you don't really need to have to wake. Oh, so there's a dark mode which obviously can be used because we've got an AMOLED screen here. Where is it yeah? Let's turn it on and there are tons of other settings. Blue light filters themes, you can obviously change the wallpaper. You can duplicate an app, so you can look at the two Facebook accounts.

For example, I really have to go through all the software, because I haven't used the new UI and quite a while all right. That's my unboxing enhancement of the Xiaomi me 90 Pro. My first impressions are pretty good for the price we get a really fast processor, just like on a premium device. We get a nice AMOLED screen and up-to-date software and what 9 that's? Ok right now and what else we get pretty decent cameras on the back. So if you camera seems to be ok as well.

Obviously some things are missing. We don't have a micros card slot. We don't have a metal frame and that probably would have been nice. Since we don't have any wireless charging anyways to have a full metal body. It might be a bit better than having glass on the front and back.

But, besides that, it seems to be a really nice smartphone for price, especially if we get really high-end internals, good cameras, an ice cream, and then we have to do some compromises, no method, no micro, SD card slot, no waterproofing, but we're getting a really fast phone so far for this price, I like it, but I would have to test it more thoroughly.
