What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome back for this camera comparison. We have the Xiaomi mi 11 and the Xiaomi mi 10 ultra out of the two the mitten ultra, is the more expensive device, but keep in mind that the mitten ultra is almost a year old. Now, all right. So as always throughout this video, we're going to see a variety of daytime and nighttime sample pictures and videos and, of course, some selfies, and I think, we're gonna start by checking out some pictures that I took with the main cameras on the back of the three devices during the day, but just before we do that make sure to press that like button. So let's check all those pictures all right. So after looking at the pictures that I took with the main cameras, I have to say that the picture sharpness and the details in these pictures is fairly similar in between the two devices, and I was kind of expecting that for colors.
I personally prefer the colors that we get from the pictures taken by the 11. They do look a bit more natural, a bit less saturated. The pictures taken by the meat and ultra look a bit too saturated for my taste and they kind of remind me of the Samsung pictures that we used to get last year that kind of changed this year so for um colors. I do prefer them 11, but for a dynamic range it seems that the methane ultra does a bit better. So you can't really go wrong with either device and I think it comes down to your personal preference if you like those more saturated, colors or less saturated colors.
Moving on to some zoom pictures. Well here you have to remember that the mitten ultra has a telephoto lens on the back, where, on the back of the mi 11, we don't actually have a telephoto lens. So every time you're going to take a zoom picture. The me11 will use digital zoom. So, looking at the five times, zoom pictures that I took the meet and ultra does better in every single picture.
The pictures are sharper, but then looking at the 10 times, zoom pictures what I was actually expecting that the mitten ultra would do much better well in some of those pictures. Actually, the me11 does better, which is kind of unexpected, but overall for zoom pictures. I still feel that the mitten ultra does a bit better than the mi 11. Next, we are moving on to pictures that I took with the ultra-wide lenses on the back of the two devices and, of course the first thing I've noticed here is the field of view, so the methane ultra has the somewhat wider field of view. So you can see a bit more in those pictures.
Looking at the picture, sharpness and dynamic range, not that big of a difference between the two but then looking at the colors. It seems that the meteor ultra handles those colors a bit better. You can see some pictures taken by the 11 that the snow almost looks blue well in reality, the snow never looked blue. The snow is actually white, so neither device does that great in those situations. But again these are very challenging situations, because the sky kind of reflects in the snow.
So a bit difficult to take those some perfect pictures wherever um you have snow and a blue sky. But overall I feel that the meet and ultra does a bit better for those some ultra-wide pictures. Next, we are moving on to some portrait mode pictures here. It seems that the mitten ultra has the better edge detection around the subject. You can definitely tell if you look at my daughter's hair in those pictures, not necessarily my hair, because I don't have that much, but you can definitely tell in hers, as for colors, the methane ultra has the more vivid the more saturated colors.
It almost looks like we took those pictures with a Samsung phone, so I feel that most people actually prefer the portrait mode pictures that we took would have meet and ultra, but definitely leave a comment down below, and let me know on your thoughts about the daytime pictures that we took with all from these phones all right. Next, we're moving on and checking out some pictures I took at night and for um nighttime pictures, both device support and night mode for the main camera and for the ultra-wide camera, and we are starting with the pictures that I took with the main cameras so for the nighttime pictures taking the main cameras, the color trend, kind of continues, um from what we've seen in the portrait mode pictures. All the pictures taken by the meat and ultra are a bit more saturated, a bit more vivid and, as I said, they kind of remind me of some pictures that you take with the Samsung phone on last year. So if you do like those more vivid colors, some you're definitely going to prefer the pictures um taken by the meet and ultra. But if you want more realistic, looking pictures, I feel the mi 11 does better looking at picture sharpness.
You can definitely tell that the mitten ultra has the sharper pictures, and you can spot that more in those situations where it was darker. So it seems that the sensor inside the mitten ultra is a bit bigger and can capture a bit more light. So overall for the main camera, I feel that the mitten ultra does a bit better. As for the pictures taking the ultra-wide lenses and, of course, a night mode, everything is a bit reversed, so it almost seems like the 11 does better for picture sharpness in some of those pictures, of course not all of them, but for most of them the picture sharpness is a bit better from the 11. So if I would have to choose one for nighttime pictures, I would choose the meet and ultra for the main camera and the 11 for the ultra-wide camera.
But what do you guys think? Which one is better for nighttime pictures and next we're going to move on and check out some sample videos that I took with the mitten ultra and, of course, the me11 here for daytime videos? I feel that the mi 11 does a bit better because it doesn't over saturate those colors as much as the mitten ultra, but for nighttime recordings. Once again, it feels that um, the meter ultra, does better right believe that the sensor inside it is bigger, and it can capture more light, and you can clearly see that in those nighttime recordings s4 sound, they both sound um, pretty identical and the IME stabilization is pretty um identical, um as well. So I'll. Let you guys watch those sample recordings and I will be right back all right. We have a quick video test between the Xiaomi mi 11 and the Xiaomi mi 10 ultra for this recording I'm using the main lenses on the back of the two devices and recording in 4k at 30 frames per second, so we're just going to stop somewhere around here.
I guess I'm going to pan right for a bit. It's a pretty cold day, uh how today and then we'll go back left, and I'm going to walk a bit uh faster. So you can see how the IMF stabilization on both devices um looks like so yeah. This is how recording in 4k at 30 frames per second between the 11 and the meet and ultra would look like all right. We have a quick recording with the front facing cameras on the Xiaomi, me 11 and, of course, on the Xiaomi mi 10 ultra now the mi level you can do 1080p at 60 frames per second, that's the maximum recording resolution for the front facing camera.
Where the 10 ultra. You can only do 1080p at 30 frames per second, but they both have IMF stabilization on this resolution and for this recording I'm doing 1080p at 30 frames per second we're going to stop here, we're gonna pan left. So now the sun is kind of behind us, and we'll just walk this way, all right, we're moving on to another quick recording between the Xiaomi mi 11 and the Xiaomi mi 10 ultra for this recording I'm using the ultra-wide lenses on the back of the two devices and once again recording in 4k at 30 frames per second, I'm also going to run for a bit just so you can see how the image stabilization looks. We're going to stop somewhere around here, I'm gonna pan right, slowly and back left, and we'll keep walking for a bit so yeah. This whole recording with the ultra-wide lens on the back of these two devices would look like all right.
We're moving on to another quick recording in low light between the me11 and, of course, the mean ultra for this recording I'm using the main lenses on the back of the two devices, a recording in 4k at 30 frames per second we're going to turn around, and we're going to walk. This way, we're basically going to go uh to the right here, as you can probably see for yourself, I am walking um fairly slow and there are quite a few lights um around us. So it's not totally dark. Keep in mind that the 11 has a night video mode and whenever you're using that night, video mode, you can only record in 1080p like this. If you're using the regular video modem, you can record in 4k 30 or 4k at 60 frames per second.
So this is how recording, with the main cameras on the back of the two devices, would look like if you're recording in 4k and 30 frames per second, we are moving on to another quick recording in low light between the me11 and the mitten ultra, but for this recording I'm using that night, video mode available on the 11. As I said in the previous recording, the meet and ultra doesn't have this knight video mode. But from what I'm seeing on the screens here, uh, it looks like the methane ultra actually does um a bit better. I guess that sensor is a bit bigger and can capture more light. So this, how recording the main cameras would look like if you're using the night, video mode on the 11.
And for our last recording in low light between the mi 11 and the mitten ultra I'm using the ultra-wide lenses on the back of the two devices and once again recording in 4k 30 frames per second and looking at the screens here. None of them does that exceptional, so yeah, 4k, 30 frames per second and the ultra-wide lenses on the back of the two devices in low light. And, lastly, we are going to check out some selfies and for selfies we are starting with some daytime selfies and for those I feel that the meet and ultra does a bit better than the level, mostly because dynamic range in those pictures is better. But then looking at the nighttime selfies, it almost looks like the May.11 does a bit better, even though for nighttime selfies, none of them does that great. So there you have it the mitten ultra and the me11, which one do you prefer for daytime nighttime and, of course, some video recordings leave a comment down below and let us know all right guys.
Hopefully you enjoyed this video. If you did like it, don't forget to press that, like button, don't forget to subscribe, and I'll see you guys in the next one thanks for watching.
