So show me changed the ten series up this year, and they've just gone a full-out flagship and with that comes a really hefty price, a thousand dollars for the meet em pro. That's just too much for some people enter this phone. The meet n light zoom, so yeah. This phone is basically a mid-range version of the 10 Pro, actually taking all the premium staff, the expensive stuff, the stuff that costs a lot of money, but a lot of people, maybe don't think they need well. You can get a lot of the same functions and features in the meet n light. This one gives you 50 times, zoom range in the camera, which is exactly the same as the mean tempera at less than half the price.
But you know is it the same? Are we going to get the same quality? Well, we are going to find out so first off you can just tell so, as you pick up the phone. Yet it's a mid-range phone, okay and there's a lot of differences here, so the curved OLED displays have gone the metal for the frame that has gone. It just feels like a mid-range phone. You can see it. The bottom bezel is bigger.
It has a notch at the top instead of a cutout. So last year's design- all of these things, of course, lower the price and make it cheaper. But it's up to you, of course, to decide whether you need those premium type features and have to pay the extra money. Actually a good thing about this phone. For me, anyways that has an AMOLED display.
So there are two trains of thought. Right now, with more budget oriented phones, some are choosing LCD's, but going the high refresh rate route like 120 Hertz with an LCD. Some are going the AMOLED route, but sticking to 60 Hertz. So there's choice for everyone. If you prefer AMOLED, then go with the 60 Hertz.
If you want the high refresh rate, you have to choose an LCD at this price anyway. This is the cheapest phone in the world or the only phone in the world at this price anywhere near this price that uses a periscope, zoom camera periscope zooms put the lens elements in a well in a periscope, obviously, and can achieve a longer range of optical zoom. That means this phone actually goes to five times optical without any loss of detail. This is all relative because we don't know how good the actual sensor is under there, but having five times zoom optically is going to help, and really you just don't get anywhere near that at this price you have to go even more expensive, and then it goes up to maybe three times optical zoom, so yeah, five times optical zoom and fifty times zoom in a phone this price. It's definitely a good thing.
The screen is perfect. There's no high refresh rates- and that is I, guess a compromise. But there are compromises of this price, but because it's an AMOLED, you just get those deep, inky, blacks, there's no ghosting on the screen, like you get with LCD's I'm allowed to do having a lot of advantages over LCD's and even though there is no high refresh rate on this phone. It's an AMOLED display at this price, which I think is a perfect thing. There isn't always on display as well and because it's an AMOLED you're going to get that always-on display with a really dark display.
It's not going to take up any backstreet I, really like always-on this place in screen fingerprint reader as well. Another good advantage of OLED displays so with the snapdragon 765 G, which is in this phone. It's a mid-range chipset and there are some drawbacks to it. Compared to the more expensive snapdragon 865. You can't play games on the highest settings, so you have to play them a little lower than what you would get in the 865.
There's no problem with gaming. It's smooth it's good, it's enjoyable, but you don't get those real high-end settings. The high-end settings, the high-end refresh rates that you get with those flagship phones in 2020, but overall again for the price, I think it's just it just works. It's a very good deal. This is really a camera phone.
To be honest, this is for people who want to focus on the camera at a good price. Maybe you think the meet em pro just too expensive, but you still want some of those zoom features. Well, this is exactly that phone you get the ultra wired in photo and video. You can record video off the ultra wired, but if you want to record video off the main image sensor, you have to stop video recording and then go into the main image sensor, which is slightly irritating, but that happens on all Shame. Even the meat Emperor, so I definitely noticed a difference between the ultra-wide and the main image sensor in terms of colors and exposure, but I really, really like the main image sensor.
Image of this mini I just think the dynamic range is perfect. It seems to have maybe got some algorithms going on, and it makes the mini and the red color really stand out. So I think it's a perfect job that it's done here. To be honest, also, the Zoom Ranger is perfect in this phone, even considering the price gun for me, I've tried into the main here again, you can see some may be color differences between the two, but I think. Actually the dynamic range here is actually pretty good.
Xiaomi phones just do a generally do a perfect job with dynamic range five times room is just crisp and clear, really, no problems with it even ten times. Zoom I still think it does a perfect job, even comparatively to other phones going in all the way to 50 times zoom. Here you can see that maybe the quality of the image has come down a bit. The colors seem to be a bit off and the exposure seems to be a bit off, but this is right at the very end of the zoom range 50 times when you're not going to use it, but anything up to 10 times. I think it does a perfect job.
Xiaomi selfie cameras are not really the best for me. They tend to lighten skin tones really like brighten them up and smooth skin and I. My skin tones don't need any lightening they're light enough already, so it just looks a little too much for my skin tones. Also, no stabilization on the selfie camera. There is a forty-eight megapixel mode, though so you can take those high-resolution images if you want, but to be honest because of the zoom range in the phone, it's got five times optical zoom, so you don't really need the high resolution images that much, but it's there anyway, if you need it also I think Xiaomi phones in general do a pretty good job with portrait modes, no differences here, I'm sure they're, using the same code, good blurry background.
Let me know what you think in the comments, though, about this phone. The 10 light zoom I'm, assuming it's going to come internationally at some point. What do you think about the features and the price and everything altogether? Let me know subscribe for the latest tech news and videos- that's it for now, but I'll see you in the next one.
