Glue, what is going on guys? My name is Niklas, also known as the lemon boy, and I've always had such a tough time deciding between the 11-inch iPad Pro or the 12.9 inch. I love both of them so much, and they are both so different. I've always preferred the 11-inch version so much better, because I was a student, and I was always on the go. Furthermore, I always wanted. You know to throw it in my backpack. I always wanted a portable device and the 11-inch iPad.
Pro was so perfect for that. But now things have changed. My life has changed, and I've switched to the 12.9 inch monster. The beast 12.9 inch, and I wanted to tell you why, and I wanted to tell you more on whom the 12 point 9 inches is for and why I personally use it. So, as I said, life has changed before I was a student.
I was always on the go, and now I'm more at home, especially you know now with covet. You know people aren't working, people aren't studying so now. For me, you know the iPad usually always sits in my desk and since I don't really need portability, 12.9 inches for me is the way to go because, let's be real 12.9 inch. iPad is so much better than the 11. As I said, life has changed before I was a student and I was always on the go, and I needed that portability.
But now you know with covet and I officially finished college- I'm never really working in coffee shops, I'm working from home and my iPad is usually always on the desk. So I don't really need something. That's portable anymore. I wanted something. You know, I don't really care about the size and, let's be real.
The 12.9 inch is better than the 11-inch iPad, but of course you don't get that portability, but now I don't need portability. One thing that I don't like about the iPad Pro 12.9 inch is that, of course, it's less portable, and it's also so, so much heavier. So the experience that you get while watching the movie is so much better with the 12.9 inch, but it's also so much heavier, but I think it's so worth it. For example, sometimes I've got the magic keyboard, the Tri-City keyboard from apple, and I can just you know. Instead of holding if it's kind of like a different experience on the 11 inch.
I just you know rather hold it, because it's so light the 12.9 inch. On the other hand, I just you know, lay that iPad on my bed and I just watched the movie different experience. In my opinion, a better one movie. You know, I personally, you know a movie lover, as you guys know, I mean check that out all my entire funk pop collection, I love movies, so I mean the 12.9 inch. If you love movies, this is the way to go.
This iPad is, of course, not only for the movie fans. I can see you know so many people like for whom it's for students having, of course, students are always on the go. So maybe, if you love portability, get the 11 iPad Pro but taking notes, for example, you've got so much space so like if, whenever you're typing, with your Apple Pencil, you can, you know, put your hand, and you've got so much space, and you're not really covering the entire screen. I just wanted to say, like there's, basically three things that make the 12.9 inch so much superior to the 11-inch first one and in my opinion the most important one is multitasking on an 11 inch is good, like I'm not gonna, say it's not, but multitasking on a 12.9-inch iPad. It's basically like having two iPads side by side since you've got so much space.
Two full-size apps actually fit on the left and on the right side of the screen and since you've got so much space, you're gonna even throw a video in there, and you want to really feel like it's crammed on the 11 inch. When you put a video, and you put two, you know apps side by side. It starts getting pretty crowded, and it's you know not the best experience but multitasking like when I use the 12.9 I feel like I'm always multitasking, because it just makes so much sense. The second reason why I love it so much is the keyboard. It's actually a full size keyboard, and you know when I was first testing the 12.9 inch. I didn't really actually like full-on use it for, like you know, days and days with typing and typing, like I used it, you know I felt that it was great, but I know it was this great.
Like you get the same typing experience as your MacBook, for example, you don't own a computer, and this is you know your first iPad 11 inches. You probably won't really notice it, but I mean you probably will because you know you've used computers before, but the keyboard just feels so familiar, and it's just so comfortable to type on, and I'm just you know, I'm I personally type way much faster on the 12 point: nine it's than on the 11 inch and I don't really mess it up, and then you add that plus a trackpad, and it's way bigger as well. I don't know I'm just I'm just a huge fan of the 12 point end, I'm just going to straight out. Say it and then the third reasons are specs, it's speakers, and it's battery, so the battery lasts me so much longer than the 11 inch and then the speakers just sound so so so incredibly loud like wow like watching movies. Once again, I'm sorry, I'm just a movie fan, and I have to tell you watching movies on this thing like I feel like I just you know, I'm just destroying Disney plus right now.
I've watched so much recently, thanks to the 12 point nines. So apart from that, that's the reasons that why you should get it, who is the 12.9 inch form? As I said before, for artists for designers multitasking like for designers, you can have your design, your affinity, designer file on the left and then on the right. You've got so far. You can put your reference. Furthermore, you can drag and drop.
So that's something very powerful um for photographers, it's so powerful as well having a big display to see every single detail, it's amazing and then for students. It's kind of weird, if I should say yes or no, because students do want portability, but you know having a nice display having a huge display for taking notes is incredible. Having that full-size keyboard for typing out essays is also very powerful, so I don't know for students, it's honestly a hard choice. I would have to say lemons because you can take it anywhere without a problem, and it's just easy to take with you always like the 11-inch iPad makes you want to take it everywhere, 12.9 and since it's you know, kind of big and heavy, you don't want to take it anywhere, but the 11-inch iPad. I brought it everywhere.
One of the things that I don't really like about the iPad Pro is that whenever you're typing, with your Apple Pencil it just the feel that it actually has. I personally don't really like it whenever I'm taking notes. Luckily, paper like solves just that paper, like is a screen protector that makes your iPad Pro feel and sound like you're, actually writing on a piece of paper, so it doesn't matter if you're, a student or a designer. You love that field of paper, so by simply installing a simple paper like screen protector, it solves just that. So, if you guys are interested in paper like hit the link down in the description, it's honestly awesome so yeah, that's my experience with the 12.9-inch iPad. Pro this edge tweets display is simply I'm so happy right now.
Thank you guys so much for watching subscribe. If you're new- and I will see you in the next one.
