Top 10 iPad Games 2019

- iPads offer very powerful graphic chips and stunning Retina and Liquid Retina Displays, which are perfect for taking advantage of the latest mobile games. Today, I want to share with you my personal Top 10 iPad Games of 2019. For reference, all these games, except one, have been played on a 2018 11-inch iPad Pro. Anyway, let's get to it. Rebellion is a strategy-RPG game based off the iconic Assassin's Creed universe. The developer Ubisoft didn't want to copy the PC or console version, instead they made this a totally different game designed for mobile.

So the art style is much more cartoonish, but don't get me wrong, there are still impressive textures, lighting and details to be found here, and Rebellion is also able to run at 120 frames per second on the new iPad Pros, which looks buttery smooth. Players can gather assassins in a single brotherhood and go into levels to defeat the opposing enemies. You'll have to train your team and expand your home to progress further. Rebellion is free to download from the App Store. (mystical music) (man groans) Number nine is Call of Duty Mobile.

Activision have brought Call of Duty to mobile devices and it's best played on iPads, as with their larger screens, it makes the competitive FPS gameplay easier to experience. You can play across iconic multiplayer maps and modes from across the Call of Duty franchise, including Black Ops and the original Modern Warfare series. We have modes such as frontline, team deathmatch, free-for-all, search and destroy, domination, and a battle royale mode. Plus, additional games modes will be included later on, including zombies. The game is currently in early alpha and right now it doesn't support controllers, which is a shame.

Call of Duty Mobile is free to download from the App Store. - Predator missile inbound. (guns firing) (man groans) - Grenade out. (grenade explodes) - Angle down. - Number eight we have ELOH.

Recently this game received an Apple Design Award, and was shown at WWDC 2019 running on an iPad. The first time you launch the ELOH it tells you nothing, you have to figure out how to play it yourself. The goal is to get the ball that comes out of the speaker down to the target. You can do this by moving the tribal masks to help the ball move around the iPad's screen. The game is relaxing, has 99 levels filled with great sound design, beautiful and colorful graphics, and lively animations.

ELOH is a paid game available on the App Store, but it has no ads and no free to play mechanics. (slow playful music) Number seven is Asphalt 9: Legends. If you're looking for a fun arcade racing game, you most likely will enjoy Asphalt 9. You can drive heaps of hypercars across stunning locations and experience very fast racing gameplay, and destructible cars and environments. All this allows for an insanely fun time.

I've showcased this game a few times on this channel, and many of you probably already know about it, but I'm showing it again because coming soon is a brilliant new feature. When macOS Catalina and iPadOS launch later this year, Asphalt 9 and many other iPad games will be playable across iPad and your Mac with the new cross-platform feature. Anyway, Asphalt 9: Legends is available to download for free on the App Store. (upbeat music) (sirens blaring) Number six we have The Elder Scrolls: Blades. Bethesda have brought the world of The Elder Scrolls to mobile.

So, you'll still see a massive first-person RPG, full of stories, quests, and a vast world to explore. The main difference here is the combat. It works quite different to other games in this series and it can take a little while to understand and get your head over, but after while it is a perfect feature for mobile gameplay in mind. The game has outstanding graphics that is most noticeable on iPad screens. There are incredible lighting effects from the reflections off the water, to the lighting bouncing of the walls, and even off your sword.

Plus, the game offers a depth of field camera effect that lets you focus on your action during combat. The Elder Scrolls: Blades is currently in Early Access and is free to download from the App Store. (intense dramatic music) (swords swooshing) Number five is Sid Meier's Civilization VI. If you're looking for a great turn-based strategy game for your iPad, check out ASPYR Media's game Civ 6. Playing on iPad allows this game to shine, as the larger screen brings out all the details of the huge world on offer here and makes navigating the menus much easier.

If you also have an Apple pencil on hand, this game plays great with it and you can use a keyboard for shortcuts commands if you wish. You can play 60 turns of Civ 6 for free, or you can buy the full game, but remember, it offers the same experience found on PC or consoles. Number four we have GRID Autosport. To showcase the graphical performance of an iPad, GRID Autosport is a good option for you. In the options on the main menu, you can run this game in graphics mode, performance mode, or energy saver mode.

There is more info on the performance options in the description if you're interested. The game heavily focuses on incredible textures and high resolutions, and it supports up to 120 frames per second on supported iPads. But it also focuses on how the controls work, which can make or break any racer game. You can either steer your favorite cars with just tilting your iPad left and right, or via a virtual wheel, or my preferred option, with MFi controllers. GRID Autosport is a paid game available on the App Store, but the developer, Feral Interactive, have brought us everything from the PC and console version to your iPad or iPhone if you wanna play it on an iPhone.

(tires screeching) (engine revving) Number three is Dead Cells. Playdigious have brought Dead Cells to iPhone and iPads. Dead Cells is a roguevania action platformer that has no checkpoints. When you die, you die and you will go back to the start and do it all again. You can also play this game with a MFi external controller.

Dead Cells is a paid game on the App Store, but it has no ads and no free to play mechanics, which is what we all want. Right? The game is expected to release July 17th and you can pre-order it right now on the App Store. Number two we have The Gardens Between. The Gardens Between is an adventure puzzle game where you can manipulate time to guide two friends through a surreal world of mysterious garden islands. Apple recently awarded The Voxel Agents, the devs for this this game, the Apple Design Awards.

And it's no surprise because to get this game to work on mobile was a huge feat. You can also play this game with an MFi controller, or soon a PS4 or Xbox One S controller, and you can even play it with a Bluetooth keyboard on iPads. All this makes the game much more responsive in my opinion. The Gardens Between is a paid game on the App Store, but once again, it has no ads and no free to play mechanics. (soft chiming music) Let's look at some notable mentions.

Tropico is an awesome simulation management strategy game, set on an undeveloped Caribbean island. YuME II: Alice's Adventures is an AR game, where you explore worlds and guide this young woman around them, basically. Thumper: Pocket Edition is rhythm violence, mixing classic action, intense speed, and decent music. Rush Rally 3 offers the most realistic rally simulation for iPads. Alto's Odyssey is a stunning downhill platform game.

It can also run at 120 frames per second on the new iPad Pros. Ordia is a one-finger action game, where you jump, bounce, stick, and slide your way though crazy environments. NBA 2K Mobile Basketball is the best sports game on iPad, and also offering amazing graphics. Shadowgun Legends is another fantastic FPS game, offering a solid campaign, multiplayer modes, and stunning graphics. Number one we have Sky: Children of The Light.

Welcome to the spiritual successor to thatgamecompany's previous games such as Flower, Journey, and flOw. Sky is a social adventure game where can play online with eight others and explore seven dreamlike worlds. As you play you can encounter random players and you can either just ignore them or you can become friends with them. You can also customize your avatar with different wings, hats, hair, et cetera. The main goal is to spread light around to each world in order to save spirits and uncover ancient treasures.

Sky has stunning minimalist visuals and an immersive music score. Sky: Children of Light is available for free on the App Store, but the devs have included no ads and no free to play mechanics. Sky is expected to release on iPad and iPhone July 11th and you can pre-order it right now on the App Store. (slow soft music) Which games do you play on your iPad? Let me know in the comments. There are some incredible games available for your iPad in 2019.
