The LG Velvet 60 Days Later // Premium 5G for Less // Full Review

Hey, what's up everyone, it's my alter tech back again with a new video in today's video we're going to talk about who exactly is the lg velvet force? This is perhaps one of the best looking phones of 2020 in the back. You have a nice shiny mirrored finish and if you guys are holding this phone, you wouldn't realize how light this phone actually feels. Now the edges are actually curved, and I'm not a huge fan of curved edges, but they do a great job of making a phone look even more premium than what it is so below. We have a headphone jack. We have an USB type c port and a speaker port and up on top. Furthermore, we have our sim tray, eject tool and a microphone port.

This phone people, let's say you're, just an average consumer you're walking into let's say maybe a T-Mobile, and you're looking to buy a new phone, and you're on a budget. So you have some of these. You know premium high-end, Samsung, flagship phones like the Samsung Galaxy fold devices, but here people you have the lg velvet and this phone. You know as good as it looks right now. Furthermore, you can get a buy one, get one free deal with T-Mobile, it's 588 the good thing about buying the T-Mobile version is that it comes with not a Qualcomm processor, but a MediaTek processor which actually gives you better 5g connectivity.

The only cons is that when it comes to the camera performance, it's just not as sharp as the other models with the snapdragon 865g, but anyways people. This phone is tailored for the average consumer, and what do I mean by that you're? Getting a great display, you're, getting dual stereo speakers, you're, getting ip68 water resistance, you're, getting wireless charging, and you're getting the option to go ahead and add on a dual screen with a dual screen case. So that's about 200, bucks, extra, and I'll get to that in a little minute. So you do have a selfie camera up on top. There is a nice small notch, and you do have the ability to go ahead and hide that notch now for the performance overall people, it's pretty damn good.

It's almost buttery smooth. This is the best job lg has done when it comes to optimizing their software you're really going to ask yourself, you know: is this really a lg phone, because the way how this performs, even without the latest processor, it's truly astounding? So as for the colors, when it comes to watching videos, it's very enjoyable, I have no issues whatsoever. This is a 1080p screen. It's not 4k, but for the average consumer chances are they're not going to notice the difference between a 1080p, the screen and a quad HD display, unless you put them side by side. But for the most part, I've had no issues when it comes to watching videos playing games and on top of that, lg produces their own screens, and they have a reputation of making some really great TVs.

So I'm not really surprised that the display on this is pretty good. Now, if you guys want to compare this to a flagship device, I'm going to stop you there. This is for someone who's on a budget or who doesn't want to spend over a thousand dollars or near a thousand dollars. So right now people with T-Mobile getting two phones for about 588 bucks. That's pretty much the best deal you can get on a new 5g device and the thing about 5g phones right now.

A lot of them do not have all the 5g bands and if you guys, are really crazy about 5g or having the latest or best 5g experience. I would recommend you getting the lg velvet simply because it has better radio technology than most of the other 5g phones on the market. So people let's go ahead and talk about the camera, real, quick. As for the camera, you have a photo mode portrait mode sticker mode and the video quality is actually pretty decent. Now, since this is a mid-range high-end budget phone, I was expecting the camera quality to take a big dip, but the photos that this was able to take out was actually pretty respectable.

It's not the greatest, but based on the pricing you get more than what you pay for, which is what we all want at the end. So moving on now. As for the battery, that's a completely different story when it comes to using this phone for an entire day with heavy usage, you're, probably going to need a little top up with your charger and when it comes to you know long standby time. Let's say this phone is just sitting on a desk for maybe one or two days the battery life seems to dip a lot more quickly than some of my other phones. So if you guys are a huge power user, I would recommend you guys to use the power saving mode and if you guys really need that two days of battery life on a phone, I would recommend you guys go ahead and take a look at the lg v60, all right, guys.

Let's go ahead and talk about the dual screen case. Once you snap on this case, you're going to have an entirely different experience, this lg velvet becomes an entirely different phone. So when it comes to multitasking, it just opens up new opportunities for you to go ahead and do things you never thought was possible. For example, maybe you want to read while actually having a video chat? Maybe you want to do your homework while having YouTube open with this case people. It takes multitasking into a whole another different dimension.

By adding two screens, there really isn't much of a lag. They pretty much sink in very, very well, and even once you close this case on the front, you have a clock, it gives you the time and date your notifications and your battery levels. Now on the bottom. You do have access to your headphone jack and your speakers, but the only problem is that this is a magnetic charger and if you were to lose the connection tip for this you're going to have to take off your lg velvet from the case every single time and charge it with an USB wired cable. Now, if you guys are in your car- and you don't have your magnetic charger again, you're going to go ahead and take this phone off the case, the fingerprint sensor, I would say it's very accurate, but it's not the fastest, and during these times you probably would want to have a fingerprint reader opposed to a face unlock feature like on the iPhone or Google Pixel, especially when you're wearing that face mask out in public, so anyways people.

This is the lg velvet. It's a highly stylish phone, it's a very affordable phone and I give it two thumbs up. If you guys have any questions or comments. Please hit me up down below, and here are some camera footage and sample shots. I've taken with this phone.

Let me know what you guys think about. It hopes you guys have a great and wonderful day, take care peace. So you.
