Hey guys fetch tech here and in this video I'll, be comparing the techno carbon 17 pro and the techno canon 16 premiere. This has been one of the most requested video on this channel, and here we are today. The techno cover 17 pro is one of the hottest mid-range smartphone available today, and I would highly recommend it if it fits your budget. But how does it compare to the technoca116 premiere from last year? Which itself was an amazing device? Let's find out for pricing the Technicolor 17 pro cost about 125, 000, area or 300 dollars, while the technical, 16 premiere cost about 118, 000 or 280. Now that the carbon 17 pro is out, I believe the carbon 16 premier price should drop a little okay. So, let's start with the physical appearance of both phones when it comes to design, both smartphones are made from plastic and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
The carbon 17 pro has a more premium. Look due to the somewhat matte finish it has. The carbon 16 primer, on the other hand, has a glossy finish that has a tendency of attracting smudges or fingerprints all over, but that doesn't mean it's a bad looking device. I'll say both looks okay, so, since both devices are made from plastic, it means they are going to be durable. The carbon 17 pro is a little lighter than the cover 16 premiere.
It comes in at 200 grams, while the carbon 16 premiere comes in at 210 grams. Both phone shares similar pots and I o example the power button that also act as a fingerprint scanner and the volume rocker keys. Both has a dual NATO sim and an option for a micro SD card both come to the USB type c and has the same port arrangement. However, the carbon 17 pro has additional microphone on top, which is something the car 16 premiere is lacking, which also means that call quality, video, recording and audio recording will be much better on the carbon 17 pro the common 17 pro and the canon 16 premiere uses an IPS 1080p panel with support for 90 hertz. The common 17 pro comes with 6.8 inch display, while the carbon 16 premium comes in at 6.85 inch. As you can see, it is barely noticeable.
There's really now much difference in the display size. As you can see here, the display on both phones are pretty impressive, being a 1080p display. It is sharp with good viewing angles, and it is decent enough for consumer media content or even watching YouTube videos. However, AMOLED display would have been a much better option at this price point, considering what the competition has to offer. The side mounted fingerprint scan on both phones are great, and they are fast.
I can't say one is better than the other. Both phone comes with face unlock as well, but it is not something I can recommend you use because of how vulnerable it is. The speakers on both phones are great, but the stereo speaker on the cover 17 pro sounded way better, even though it lacks bass on the spec sheet. The technical 17 pro comes with a MediaTek halo, g95 outscore CPU paired with 8 gigs of ram and 256 gigs of internal storage, a 5 000 William battery and android 11 out of the box and from the look of things the technical 17 pro might get android 12 fingers crossed the common 16 premiere, on the other hand, comes with a MediaTek halo, g90 outscore CPU paired with 8 gigs of ram and 128 gigabytes of internal storage. Five hundred million per battery android 10 out of the box, and I doubt if it will ever see the backyard of android 11, not to mention android 12.
Moving on to performance, as you can see, from benchmark scores here, both are very close to each other. The camera 17 pro has a slightly higher and total score, while the carbon 16 premiere has a slightly higher geek bench scores in reality. Both are superfast for gaming, multitasking and general performance is great on both I'll say. If performance is your major content, and you already own the common 16 premiere, then there's absolutely no need for you to bother here. Another good way of putting this is that, if you're shopping between both smartphones, and you can find the common 16 premiere at a lesser amount, then go for it, because performance is almost the same on both moving on to the battery aspect.
The carbon 17 pro can comfortably last for a whole day on a single charge, if you're an average user. The carbon 16 premium, on the other hand, can also last for a whole day, but you might be required to recharge it again towards the end of the day. The good thing about both phone is that they come with a fast charger out of the box. The carbon 16 premiere takes the cake here with a 33 watt, fast charger that can juice up the device in one hour, five minutes, which is super amazing. The 25 watt charger of the carbon 17 pro can juice up fast as well, but it travels the carbon 16 premiere with a charge time of 1 35 minutes, which I feel it should be more than enough for most people so on the battery department.
Both are very okay. Moving on to the part that you all have been waiting for, which is a camera, the carbon 17 pro and the canon 16 premiere comes with the same array of cameras on the rear, which is a 64 megapixels main sensor and 8 megapixels ultrawide camera a 2 megapixel dev sensor and a 2 megapixels monochrome lens, while the selfie camera is a 48 megapixel sensor on both phones, images from both phones are great, the reserve details is impressive and dynamic. Wrench is good on both they are vibrant and sharp. However, the carbon 17 pro exposes its image a little too much while the carbon 16 premiere has a balanced processing. Dynamic range is a little better on the cover 17 pro I like how the shadows are well exposed without losing its details, but sometimes you might have to watch out, because the background can be a little overexposed.
Skin tone is a little better on the carbon 17 pro images, but the cover 16 premiere isn't too far off. Wide-Angle images is decent on both, but the cover 17 pro is doing it well in this area it is well saturated, colors and dynamic range is better than the carbon 17 pro cover.16 premiere is not bad, but the camera 17 protects the cake here, because the shadows are well exposed. Portrait, shots are great on board and edge. Detection is good on both, but skin tone is a bit better on the carbon 17 pro images and the saturation level is consistent across the board. Color looks nice on the carbon 17 pro images, and it is the device with a better portrait on the selfie side.
This is where things go in favor of the car 116 premiere, don't get me wrong. The selfie from both phones are great and details are present. The only downside to the carbon 17 pro images is in colors. It has this reddish tone that doesn't do well. For me, colors, don't look nice at all, especially in a comparison like this.
It is something that can be easily fixed via software update, and I would appreciate if techno can do that on time. Selfie portrait is also great on both, but the cover 17 pro suffers the same fate of not having good color reproduction, and it is something that is very visible throughout the image. Both phones can shoot. Video in 4k resolution and the footage looks good. However, when you're shooting in 4k, you won't have image stabilization, hey guys.
So this is a rare footage from the techno canon 17 pro and the techno canon 17 premiere can shoot in 4k 30 frames per second without video stabilization, as you can see here, both are doing quite all right, but which do you think looks better. Let me know in the comment section below image. Stabilization can only be activated in 1080p mode, hey guys. So this is the front facing camera of the techno carbon 17 pro and the techno camo 16 premiere both can shoot in 4k 30 frames per second, and they look okay. What I feel like the technique about 16 premiere is doing it for me.
Here, however, dynamic range is a heat submission put, but I, like the skin tone on the techno canon 16 premiere right here. The technical 17 has this reddish tone to its image, but it's equally okay as well. But what do you guys think? Let me know in the comment section below alright, let me know which one you think sounds better as well, so that is it guys, my full video comparison between the techno carbon 17 pro and the techno canon 16 premiere, the carbon 17 pro is a new device here, and it is decent in most areas as you've seen. But, as I said initially, if you already own the canon 16 premiere, there's absolutely no need for you to worry about upgrading to the camo 17 pro. If you are cross shopping between both phones, and you can get the camo 16 premiere for a lesser amount, it should be your best option at 125, 000 eras for the carbon 17 pro.
I think it is well reasonable for those that might be thinking of getting something else: you're getting a device with 8 gigs of ram 256, gigs of storage and a very potent processing power. It has some downside as I mentioned, but it is not enough reason for me not to recommend it. So that is, it guys, show your thought to me down in the comment section below if you found this video useful, don't forget to give me a like and subscribe to the channel. Thank you so much for watching, and I'll talk to you in the next one. Bye.
