TCL 10 5G UW Unboxing - A 5G Smartphone For $400 By The YouTube Tech Guy

Hello this is rick, why the YouTube tech guy hey guys. So today we are unboxing giving our first impressions for the TCL 10 5g. Now we reviewed two other TCL phones for the TCL, 10 l and the GPL 10 pro, and I really fell in love with the pro, and I thought the l was great for the price. Well, this one is coming in an amazing price for a 5g phone 400 on Verizon. So I'm really kind of curious to see how this is how this works and what we're getting for 400. Is pretty impressive when it comes to the specs.

So overall I will say that you have oh all right, and this is a multi-layered box. So we have a little pamphlet right here, telling us about it. So 6 gigs of ram 128, gigs of storage, good specs for this price point and 4 500 William battery and really just kind of curse, see all that it has. It does have a headphone jack. It does have a fingerprint sensor, type c, of course, and one thing triple camera setup.

This one is going to be wide angle, main camera and macro. Yes, it's a macro, at least it's a 5 megapixel macro, so the 2 megapixel macro. So you have that at least going for your power of 5g for everyone, and here it is. Oh, we got some fun stuff looks like a TCL mask cleaning, cloth and a case. That's always good when you know that a manufacturer will have a good amount of cases.

You don't always know that with these budget phones. So I love that I'm already seeing a case with it. That's always a good indication for sure all right now, let's unbox the actual device and is there anything I forgot here so October. Processor 6.5 inch display 48 megapixels is the main camera 4 500 million battery snapdragon 765, which again for this price point. It's honestly, a pretty good processor, like you know, for 400 we're typically getting the lower versions of the snapdragon, 700 or even 600 series.

So to get it at the seven 756. One is pretty impressive for this one: let's go ahead and take that out. Ooh, has a very, very cool backing to it. It's like an um, 3d effect kind, all right, let's try and do it all slick, but yeah, really nice. Looking.

Let me take this little sticker off bam. That is a very, very cool effect. I really like that. Okay, it feels good in the hand. I think this is plastic on the back feels like a metal frame around it.

Two sets of speakers right here. So that's good, and again you get your headphone jack and 16 megapixel front camera right here, I'll turn that, on it's been a long time since I've seen the Verizon logo on a phone. So I'm kind of curious to see how that network is doing. I've heard that uh their 5g is now in Los Angeles as well, but we'll have to wait and see if that's true and book and pin, so they don't give you a case this one, which makes sense with the carrier version. You typically don't get a case like we did with our other two.

But of course again we know there's going to be cases available reasons. Carriers don't give you case is because obviously they want you to buy one and again that high quality braided cable, that I do appreciate. TCL gives you and a fast charge, so yeah, pretty good overall, and I'm going to go ahead and set this up and see what I think all right guys. Everything is now set up on the device, and I will say again I just love this shame. I have to say this one of the best designs that TCL or any manufacturers come up with this year.

Just really stands out to me put the case on it and really when using it. I can say that it's a dozen phone, so first thing you should know. Are you got a lot of bloatware to uninstall or disable a lot of it comes with it all? This did not from me so just get out rid of all of it. Anything you don't need, and you will be much happier and your phone will run faster. Let me know in the comment section down below overall, I put nova on there, so it moves fast. Now. I also installed another camera which I'll get to in a second, but it just really moves quickly now and no problems. I mean this is a snapdragon 700 series, so it really just gives you best performance while again being very affordable, so I have really liked it. The screen is pretty big uh.

I did notice that, even though it has this big grill up here, which I thought would be kind of used as a secondary speaker, besides just the earpiece, at least on YouTube from my early testing, it only comes out of the bottom speaker, so I will test that or ask TCL if it is stereo at all. If not, you just have a huge earpiece, which I thought again was actually a cool design, how they kind of curved it back the earpiece um, but yeah big battery a lot for it. It's a very tall phone too, I would say it's a little taller than my uh galaxy foal 2, which that was a very tall phone. Is it so this one is tall and wide so know that it's going to be a big phone, but obviously, if you want a big phone with a big battery that is going to pretty much be given with this one I again plan on doing more in-depth videos. Let me know what you want to see or any phones you want to see us compare to, but I do leave you with the cameras, so the camera overall is a decent camera, but the biggest thing is, of course you can install g cam on here.

That was one of the best things about the other. TCL phones is even though the camera software isn't as good built in you, can get Guam to really correct any fault, coloring and just overall better look once you have game on there. So I think you'll be much happier once you install that and then that is going to make it very easy for you to take great quality photos even with a low-priced phone. So that being said, I am pretty interested to see how this one will turn out. Uh curious to test out.
