TCL 10 5G Review: Cheapest 5G Smartphone Worth Buying? By GadgetsBoy

How's it going. Everyone is gadgets boy, welcome to another video and in this one we're going to be taking a look at the TCL 10 5g. Now this is one of the most affordable readily to buy 5g devices on the market right now, and it actually has a lot of packing. It's packing a lot there for the money that you pay for it as well, but without further ado, let's get into it and see what you can look forward to if you're thinking of picking one of these up, or you're looking for an affordable, 5g device to buy this year, something good that comes out of brands like Samsung, apple or even Huawei, making phones that are quite expensive. Is it pushes brands that you may not have heard of to think outside the box into making something more affordable than offers so much more for the price point as well. It's also an opportunity to give massive props to Qualcomm for also contributing to this, as if you don't make uh, if they didn't make um cheaper, yet powerful processes, smartphones, like TCL, 10, 5g, probably won't be possible, and if it was, you probably won't have 5g anyway.

This is my review of the tcl10 5g smartphone boring bits out the way in the box. You get all you need to use your device, so you get your smartphone some information, booklets, USB c cable, not micro, USB, which is perfect for an affordable mid-range device. You get a clear silicone case, which fits very well and three pin plugs as I'm in the UK. So this is what I need. So what does the device actually have to offer? A TCL 105g is largely a big device with 6.53 inch display it's 19.5 by 9 aspect ratio, lcd, and it's running at a resolution of 1080 by 2340 pixels, and usually I'm skeptical of devices that cost 400 pounds or fewer. But this is usually.

This is actually a pleasant surprise, with a vibrant, sharp bright and all-round brilliant display, whether you're watching movies on it or decide to buy it for gaming, it's more than enough to see things clearly and what it's missing is a higher refresh rate which uh. When you spend this sort of money on a device you can't be asking for too much. To be honest, it doesn't have many bezels around it and at first at the front reminded me of a Nokia device. It has a hole, punch notch on the front that houses its front-facing camera on the right side, you have the power button and volume rockers and on the left is a Google Assistant button, which I didn't explore, whether it could be redesigned as I'm against that sort of button anyway, for like a dedicated assistant button on smartphones, just is a no-no for me and on the back is a physical fingerprint reader, which I also wish was integrated in the power button. But it's probably more accurate with a larger surface area.

On the back above, the fingerprint reader is your camera array, which will be to everyone's taste, but it's fine, there's also a 3.5 mil headphone port up top and the USB port at the bottom of the device. Overall, the design and aesthetics is basic, nothing to write home about, but nonetheless it doesn't feel cheap, definitely doesn't feel like it's around 400 pounds at all, and if that large display is not enough to convince you just yet. TCR also use something called next vision, so not vision- and it's basically there to boost the vibrancy, the color, and it adds more punch and vibrancy again to the display, and it works across gaming videos or just regular functions so play with the settings to see if it tickles your fancy as part of next vision, you also get to toggle that switch for SDR to HDR to enhance color contrast and depth when streaming videos too onto the software user experience. I'd, say again, it's very close to the Nokia experience for me as it's clean and barely has any of TCL's own bloatware on it. You only get that TCR plus app and I find it useless.

Otherwise, you just get to use your Google apps, which, which is great to get started. Finding things in the settings menu is very easy, which is great and if I ever mentioned already, you can also hide that notch in some apps as well again, something you can customize in the settings. TCL has opted for four cameras: four different cameras on the back: a 64, megapixel, wide angle, lens 8, megapixel, ultra-wide five megapixel macro and a two megapixel depth, uh sensing lens there as well and as expected, there's no optical image. Stabilization um don't be fooled by the number of cameras here, though, as it's still not as good as the cheaper Pixel 4a with a single lens, but the Pixel 4a doesn't have a large display or 5g either the camera performance. Uh is okay.

It will suffice for those uh looking for something to post on Facebook or Instagram, but no further, and having said that, that's what most people use their smartphone camera for these days anyway, adding a macro and depth lens is a little backwards for me, and they could have done uh with adding a telephoto lens instead, because that's more that's more of a something that I'd rather use than a macro lens, where really suffers, is in low light as it just doesn't perform well without all the uh extra laws that it has to the pictures you do get a super night mode and portrait mode as well. Portrait mode will take advantage of that depth lens, but doesn't mean it's better than what you can achieve using just software and a single lens like the Pixel 4a for video, you can shoot up to 4k at 30 frames per second, and you have electronic image stabilization and 10 times. Digital zoom. Now for the processor and battery performance, TCL opted for a 4 500 million power battery with fast charge on paper. That is a lot of battery there.

It comfortably lasts a day and that's more than I can say from a more expensive, Samsung Galaxy note, 20 ultra it uses Qualcomm snapdragon, 765 g and the g in the end means it's got extra oomph uh to make it suitable for gaming, and it's the same processor as you would see in the new OnePlus word. That's also a popular mid-range device as well accompany that is a 6 gig of ram and 128 gigs of internal storage, which you can expand with a micro SD card rather than talking technical benchmarking scores here. I just loaded it up with apps and ran multiple applications at the same time, and it didn't stutter. He even did really well playing Call of Duty mobile, which is graphics and processor intensive as it gets it didn't get stressed at all or get hot either. Overall, I really enjoyed the TCL 10 5g, saying it's.

A boring design comes from someone, who's also very used to handling phones like the note 20 ultra. So it's just a matter of preference, but regardless of that thought it's by no means it by no means feels cheap at all. Camera is fine, and it takes Instagrammable photos if that's a word it's great for gaming, thanks to that efficient and powerful processor in there, with a good amount of ram and large display with TCL next vision. If I have anything bad to say, it will be that there is some serious competition out there and the thing is not all of them offer 5g for example. So that's it for the tcl10 5g device guys.
