Here's a tablet that's designed to take a beating is the Samsung Galaxy Tab active designed for business types and unveiled here at E for 2014 in Berlin. Let's take a look, so this tablet is all about being rugged. It's just resistant, and it's water resistant as well. Samsung says that it wouldn't recommend holding it underwater for a long period of time, but it should handle light water damage, so you'll be fine to take out in the rain as a security conscious device. This has got access to Samsung's Knox software, which stores all of your important documents and private files securely beneath its rugged exterior. However, this is a pretty standard.
Android tablet. It has an 8-inch display. That's got a 1280 by 800 pixel resolution. Humming away inside is a 1.2 gigahertz, quad-core processor, and it's running Android version 4.4 Kitkat around the back, there's a 3.1 megapixel camera and inside there are 16 gigabytes of storage, which, if you need to you, can beef up using a micros card. So Samsung is aiming this squarely at businesses for now, but we would like to see a consumer version and that's because if you do want a tablet, that's ready to face the elements you currently don't have very many options.
