Samsung Galaxy S20 Vs Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back to the channel everyone we're going to be talking about two different phones today, and one of them is a very new device and the other one is a very old uneven, all very old device, but an older device that, if you have any sense or any brain at all, you would not be picking up one of these we're picking up the other one and in the IV a sensor is donen't pick up as twenty pick up a Galaxy S7 edge, that's the better device, non-college hogging, we're gonna, be comparing the s20 versus the s7 edge and, like I said, I mean if you have all the money in the world and everything to pick up the galaxy has 20. This is an obvious answer, but I just want to see the evolution and seeing the differences and the changes that have been happening throughout the years, going from a 2016 phone like that seven edge to the 2020 phone, which is the s20. Now I'll go ahead and start off with the prices, the galaxy s 20 just came out, so it cost that thousand dollars. It hasn't really gone down and value, but also, so it's still at that, like thousand dollar price mark, however, with the s7 edge, which is a lot of money to spend on a phone I, do understand, and I'm even more sold to that they actually took out that Unchain. So there's no s xx II, but what are we going to do is nothing we can do about it wears on the s7 edge. When it came out, it was about that $7497.99 price tag, whatever it was, it was super expensive. Now you can pick up a s7 edge for about two hundred and ten dollars on Amazon, which is still a lot of money for a phone like this.

If I'm being honest, it's great hardware, it still has some things going for it, but if you're not picking up the Enos version that you can't customer root, you might as well stay where you're at or pick up some other phone, and I'll tell you right now. If you have the opportunity to pick up any phone of these pick up a Galaxy S ten, that phone cost like less than $500 on Amazon. It's a very good price and for really what you're getting is not even that much worse cell phone from the s20 it can literally do almost like 95% of the s20 can do on the galaxy s 10, so I'll leave in s 20 and S 10 link down in the description below, as well as a s7 edge. If you want to pick one up on a white one to which you can get them from there for the cheapest prices, I find on Amazon and help support the channel at the same time, but looking on the front of both phones, the Galaxy S7 edge, has a 5.5 inch, Super AMOLED display it is a 1440p display, and I'll, be honest, like I've been saying before, Galaxy is Sam, saying just knows how to make panels. They know how to make very, very good-looking panels at last, a very long time and terms.

The way they look in the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is definitely up there. Unfortunately, mine not only has burning, but also has a line going through it, which is super annoying, but the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a very good panel and there's a little of bezel on the top and bottom out. There's a lot of bezel on the top and bottom which really does suck, but there's really nothing. We can do about it. One really cool thing about the s7 edge that was really originated from the s6 edge.

That really originated from the note edge is that edge panel and for this one, this phone specifically if they just took it to the other level. They really made this thing edge out and I. Don't think a lot of people like that, that's why they eventually stopped the edge line that they eventually are switched over to just average for having an edge type of thing. But this one was like a whole other level like he would randomly be clicking things on all that stuff. It was just not a good mix, but the s7 edge did have a very good panel for the most part.

Besides, all that burn and stuff that eventually got onto it wears on the Samsung Galaxy s 20, we have a 6.2 inch, dynamic, AMOLED display, and it's a 1440p display, and that panel looks so good. It's a very good. Looking phone. You know you have very little bezel on the top bottom. You have that hole-punch display in the center, and it just screams to me that it's a very, very good phone and this phone without a doubt is definitely one of my favorite ones for sure.

But the coolest thing is that you have that capability of doing 120 Hertz at that refresh rate on that 1080p display on that's 20, which is really nice. Now there will be eventually a software update that will potentially put 1440p at 120 Hertz on the s20, and I'm curious to see that, but regardless both panels are pretty good, but the s20 definitely one's in terms of the panel. Just because of that 120 Hertz, refresh rate for sure that's 20 has USB type-c on the bottom. That 7 Edge has a micro USB port, which is not my favorite. One is not my first choice that honestly does kind of suck for the s7 edge, but you know what are we going to do about it? There's a headphone jack on that seven edge where we don't have known the s20, so a little of difference right there and on the back, you can see a single camera set up on the s7 edge, but a triple camera set up on that 20, which I'll get into in a second both have glass bags and both feel pretty premium in the hand.

You know, there's not one that feels you know way more premium than the other one, but I will tell. You, though, is that with the s7 edge and even the Galaxy S7, the home button on these phones have just been so bad recently. They just like are wobbly, and it's like every single home button phone, that's a Sims I said I have the home. Buns are just so ugly, and these were the last ones to have a whole button, and they still did a pretty bad job at it. If I'm honest so when you're holding in your kind of like shake it a little, you can like hear that home button shake around and just feel super cheap.

It doesn't feel premium the rest of the phone feels premium besides that specific part, so kind of shame, but it is what it is. Both phones are IP certification, the s7 edge, has IP 68 and so does desk 20. Both can go up to one and a half meters of water for 30 minutes, and that's a really, really cool thing, and both phones have micro, SD card slot expansion, which is amazing, and I love, seeing that, so you have the capability of expanding the storage on both phones, which is awesome, and it's literally one of my favorite things ever and hopefully Samsung does not take that out of their phones, but in terms the outside and the way they look and everything that really pretty much covers it. Now, hitting only software. The Samsung Galaxy has 20, you know, as you know, just got released with the Android 10 point.

Oh, it's on one ey2, and it's going to be getting when you buy three and then one uy4, so it's probably going to be stopping at Android a little 12 and from there we're going to see whether it's going to continue or not, if I had to say it I'm pretty sure it's not going to continue because Samsung is just a weird company like that they could have supported the Samsung Galaxy S8, and they decided not to which was a huge shame they. You know they really dropped the ball there, but with a Samsung Galaxy s7 edge, it started off with Android marshmallow. We are able to get Android oil on it, which is really cool, but it didn't get an update after that. It stills gotten like some security updates here and there, which is hilarious and I, guess, that's really cool but other than that no big. Oh s, updates and I'll.

Give you an example of why this is weird the same year that the s7 edge came out. The iPhone 7 came out any 7 plus, and those phones have not only been supported even longer than that.7 edge, but they're still getting support now, and they're, probably going to continue up until like 2021 or something like that, or even least like maybe even 2022, who knows, like those phones lost forever and if Samsung wants to stay competitive like I've, been saying they have to go and start pushing things, you have to start pushing softer updates to their devices. So with a phone like the s7 edge, it can easily support the next version of software. At least it could have you know. Android Pi was a pretty big update and a lot of people own the s7 and s7 edge.

I felt like it could have deserved it, but we can't really do anything about it anymore, but in terms of software, the s20 is definitely going to Alaska. But if you get the Enos version of that 7 edge, that should be able to support you for custom, ROMs and routes and stuff. So that'll be a pretty big thing to know so that pretty much covers it up there now hitting on the performance. This is an easy one that 7s has a Snapdragon 820 chipset, a quad-core CPU I did Arena 530 GPU and there's three to four models of 32 64 128 gig model and all those models have 4 gigabytes of RAM. With a Samsung Galaxy s, 20 has a Comsat jack, a 65 chipset and outscore CPU and Arena 650 GPU and there's only one model of s.20, the 128 gig model with 12 gigabytes of RAM and I, can tell you about the performance of both phones. Is that when the s7 came out or that 7h came out, it was then you know the most premium fastest phone, probably on the market.

It was extremely fast less than that, and it definitely has slowed down quite a bit. That phone is extremely slow and choppy. The s20 is definitely much faster. It's a very, very fast phone. At the end of the day.

It can really do anything you throw at it and the reason is- and it's probably one of the fastest phones in the market right now. But the reason I mentioned that s7 edge being one of the fastest phones at the time and when I was released, is because that's how that 20 is, and if you looked at the s10 last year that phone I was saying the same exact thing, but for some reason Samsung phones just slow down so much faster than others. You know even iPhones of that year. ? it usually starts off being faster than those iPhones, but then it ends up being more glitchy and less smooth than all those things and that's a pretty big deal in my opinion. So as of right now, the s 20 is definitely faster than the s7 edge.

That's not a question, but the pro longevity of the s, 20 and I. Don't know if that's real word or not, but I'm saying is it? Will this speed still be consistent even a year from now? That's something that I will have to see and consider and one a 3 comes out. I'm going to drop a review on it anyway, on this phone, and I'm curious to see what the differences are. You know whether it's going to be fast or slow. Whatever the case is I'm curious to see what the differences will be.

So in terms of performance, the s20 is still very fast. It's one of the fastest ones right now, but I'm curious to see if it's still going to be that same speed and same performance or better performance a year from now, so that pretty much covers it up there now hitting on the cameras, the s7 edge has a single 12 megapixel sensor, the Samsung Galaxy S 20 has a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens 64, megapixel telephoto lens, then an additional 12 megapixel ultra light sensor and there's no question about this. The s7 edge is a good camera. You know 4k very, very, very good for what it is and when I came out, but the s20 deadly me you can do 4k 60 frames, you can do 8k video on the Samsung Galaxy s 20. That camera is a seriously good camera, one of the best cameras on the market right now.

I dropped. My first camera comparison yesterday between that this phone and the iPhone, 11, and I saw that yeah I think was better than the iPhone 11 by a little, but not by much. But you had those camera hardware features on the s20, where you don't have on the s7 edge, and you don't even have on some phones like the iPhone 11 or the galaxy s 10, or things like that. So those are definitely some things to consider so in terms of the camera. I'll definitely give the edge to the Samsung Galaxy S 20, now ending it off with the battery life.

These Samsung Galaxy S7 edge had a 36 hundred million power battery the Samsung Galaxy s, 20 has a 4000 million power battery and both have wireless charging, but the s 20 does have reverse wireless charging, which already adds like two points to the s 20 versus the s7 edge. The other thing to consider the s7 edge battery has probably degraded over time. So it's not at that full thirty. Six hundred million powers anymore. It's probably a like 3100, maybe even like two thousand something.

So it's a pretty big thing to consider right there, so the battery life ultimately will be better on the s 20. However, if both batteries were brand new, the s 20 would still have a better battery life. But if you had that 120 or suite fresh weight on the s 20, maybe the battery life would be a little better on the s7 edge, but still consider the fact that if you have a normal 7s that is degraded over time, the s7 edge should probably won't have that good battery life anymore. So the kind of some video and to answer the comparison for the people who were deciding, which one again obviously could the s 20. That's the easy question.

However, if you currently have a s7 edge, should you go pick up an S, 20 I will say to that or if you're somebody who doesn't even have any of these phone, so you want to pick up some newer phone and see how the older ones compare I will say if you don't want to spend the money for an S 20 and get a Samsung Galaxy S 10. That is the sweetest sweet middle spot of both phones that are really the order ones, the newer ones that 10 can do 95% of what that has 20 can do, and it's for like half the price, and it's such a good deal that I understand why more people aren't talking about it. But the s10 is a very good priced phone. If I were you, I would honestly probably end up picking that one up over a lot of other phones in the market right now that are brand new. So if you want to pick up this 20 or the s10 I'll leave those link down in the description below like this, but that is pretty much it if you guys have any other questions or anything I'll leave it down in the comment section as well hit the like button on me so much, but definitely get that subscribe button.
