Welcome back to this channel everyone we get to finally talk about another set of phones that are is, that's 20. It just came out. You guys already know what it's about, but the iPhone 10s has been out for a minute now, and I feel like a lot of people own the iPhone Menace. Maybe they want to see what the differences are between them and everything, and I'll go ahead and talk about pretty much everything and, like a bird's eye view level about these phones, but just keep in mind. I will be doing separate camera tests and separate speed tests for these two phones. I usually do this with every new phone that comes out, so I just didn't want to you know fit everything make this video like 30 minutes long I might as well break them down, make a 10 15 minute, videos each and then give you guys a better idea of.
Basically, you know how these two phones compare now the Galaxy S 20, as you guys know, just came out. It's the brand-new phone from Samsung. You know they believe, and this is actually the base model of the s20 lineup. Last year we had the s10 II and that was pretty much the base model, but now things have changed now that is not the case. The iPhone 10s, though, came out two years ago in 2018, so not quite two years, it's been like a year and a half, and when that thing came out, it was pretty much the know the main phone of the time there was the iPhone tennis max, but the iPhone tennis was, you know the most popular phone at the time, and that was a thousand-dollar phone and now the galaxy s 20 is a thousand-dollar phone.
So it's weird how you know, even just a year and a half later, how things changing in these phones. Now, when the galaxy s 20 came out, obviously came out, it's barely even released, yet it has that $1,000 price tag, which is kind of a lot. You know I'm not gonna, lie in, but some people might say. Oh, it's only like a minor refresh from the s10 and all that stuff, but the s20 does have a lot of cool features and some of those features we really haven't seen on other phones, yet so I think I'll give us a song a lot of credit for that. So that's definitely a cool thing right there, where the iPhone tennis started off with a thousand dollar price tag in 2018 and right now you can pick one up on Amazon for less than $500, so the iPhone 10s on Amazon right now not brand new.
It's certified refurbished, keep in mind this cost about half the price as the galaxy s 20, which is a pretty big deal, especially for somebody who wants to retain the most amount of value per dollar. So even at that point, there's still a lot of value in an iPhone 10 s. You know it's not an outdated phone just because yest when he came out and just because the 11pro came out doesn't mean the iPhone 10. This is an outdated or unusable phone at all, so that pretty much covers it up in terms the price points and every looking on the front, though the iPhone 10s has a 5.8 inch. Super retina OLED display its 1125 by 24, 36, pixels and overall I think it's a pretty decent panel that it has on it.
You know I never really had any problems with it. You have for stitch on that display. Furthermore, you have true tone technology, which is really, really nice and I. Think, overall, the display is actually pretty decent for a phone like this. It's not like a huge crazy display.
It doesn't have any like cool, crazy features or anything like that is a pretty normal device overall, but that's something that I really do like about the iPhone 10s. Furthermore, it's just a very you know it's just you can use it, and you can put it down, and it's good to go, and the display is really nice, and it does have the notch atop, which some people might not like, but honestly I want to say, I, don't really think a lot of people even care. Some of the complaints that I've seen for iPhones and everything don't really even revolve around the notch at all, and she actually has a lot to do with the software and how cool, and it looks still so, the fact that Apple, actually, you know, might be removing the notch or something is a pretty big deal, but this one still has a notch on it, which I really think like a lot of people, don't really care about, but some people might so. The Galaxy S 20, on the other hand, has a six point too much dynamic, AMOLED display it is 1440p, which is amazing and dude. Honestly, it's probably one of the better panels.
I've ever seen, I think going from a s10 to the S 20. In terms of the way the display looks I, don't really think there's that big of a difference, if I'm being completely honest, however, what I will tell you, though, is that you know the whole punch display is now in the center there's a very little bezel all around the panel, and if you look at an iPhone 10 s, if you look at the galaxy s 20, you will obviously see that the s 20 does look better overall than the iPhone 10 s. That's just a given the s.20 looks so nice. It looks just so futuristic and even though we've kind of come like accustomed to this design, it still doesn't blow me away like it still blows me away every time. I look at it.
It's such a good-looking panel, the iPhone tennis, is a good-looking panel too, but the galaxy s 20 is far better, but you have to cool things. With the galaxy s.20 then inbuilt fingerprint sensor in the screen where the iPhone tennis does not have a fingerprint sensor anywhere on the phone, but you also have that 120 Hertz refresh rate on the Samsung Galaxy s 20 s display where the iPhone 10 s does not have that really no iPhone has that and barely any phones in the market have that capability, the Samsung Galaxy s 20 does have that capability, which is amazing and the fact that Samsung brought it into this phone means that, basically, all other phones are probably going to end up carrying some type of feature like this. So it's definitely going to be some really, really cool stuff on Sam saying actually you know once the other phone manufacturer started implementing this, and even if Apple puts it on their phones, it's only awesome, but between these two phones, Samsung Galaxy, wins in terms of display for sure galaxy s.20 has USB type-c on the bottom, iPhone tennis, lightning, port, no headphone jacks on either of these phones on the back glass packs on both the Samsung Galaxy s, 20 has a triple camera set up. The iPhone centers has a dual camera setup and I hit on the cameras in a second. Both phones have ip68 dust and water resistant, which is really, really cool.
On the galaxy s 20, you can go up to one and a half meters of water for 30 minutes on the iPhone tennis. You can go up to 2 meters, water for 30 minutes. So if you get some water on it, basically they'll be they'll, be able to take a beating the Samsung Galaxy s.20 also has a micros card slot, which is really nice with the iPhone Tennis. Doesn't have any capability like that. So in terms of that, that really pretty much covers it, there's really not too much else to hit on in terms of the way their phones will look on the outside.
Now hitting on this software, the iPhone 10s started off with iOS 12. We were able to get iOS. Thirteen point three point, one on it: I'm not too sure when Apple's going to push another version of their software out, hopefully soon and since the galaxy s 20 started off with the software that it has now, when you wait ?, it's probably going to get one UI 3 and then 1 Y 4, and then it's probably going to be done where, if you think about it, the iPhone 10s came out in 2018 and this one still has a higher chance of actually outlasting and prolonging its life from Apple from their stock software support. Then the Samsung Galaxy s 20 from Samsung. You know and that's so crazy.
Why is it that Samsung cannot just keep pushing updates to their devices? It makes absolutely no sense to me. You know they have all these resources. They have all these cool little things and for some reason they still can't push the same amount of updates and something like Apple or even like the Google Pixel lineup. So between these two phones, the iPhone 10s will probably end up still lasting longer than the Samsung Galaxy has 20, which is pretty sad. You know coming from the fact that that phone costs $1000 the Samsung Galaxy ultra cost.
You know $1400 whatever it cost and that's just a crazy, absurd amount of phone to pay for a phone like this. If you can't even get extra software versions, and you can't even match the sound for life-cycle phone- that's cheaper from a different manufacturer. So that's definitely crazy. Hopefully, Samsung fixes that- and you know, increases the life cycle of their phones, but there's really nothing. We can do about it.
So that really pretty much covers it. The software hitting on the performance, the iPhone 10s, has the Apple a ?, a Bionic chip, a hex core CPU and there are three different models and 64 256 and 512 I got my models and all those models have 4 gigabytes of RAM. With the Samsung Galaxy s, 20 has a Qualcomm snapdragon 865 chipsets, an outscore CPU and Arena 650 GPU, and there's only one model of the Samsung Galaxy s 20 and that's the 128 gig model with 12 gigabytes of RAM. Now what I can tell you about the performances and I did a apeak testing. You guys can be able to see it here.
Overall, of course, the Samsung Galaxy S 20 is the faster one, pretty much every single time, and you know it's a smoother one. ? I feel like you know. There were times when the iPhone 10s would be able to boot into certain apps, and it was faster here and there is a little. It wasn't faster, but it was smoother, I think, but I think as of right now, the Samsung Galaxy S 20 is just the faster phone between all the phones that I've tested, and you know even against the iPhone 11. It was faster than that, and it makes total sense.
Furthermore, it's the newest device. But what I will say, though, is that my iPhone 10 s is about like a year. I've had it for about a year now, and I've put apps on it. I've used all the time, and it's pretty much still as smooth as day one. You know it's still a pretty smooth device overall and I.
Don't really think it's slowdown, so I bought it even after all, the updates that are on it. But what I will tell you is that with my Samsung, Galaxy has 10 that I bought brand new last year. I was pretty much saying the same thing. I was like it's really fast. It's probably one of the fastest phones in the market and every phone I compared to was faster then, but now, when I compare it to all my other phones, the Samsung Galaxy is 10.
It's much more glitchy err, it's much more like a, and it's just like buggy overall, when I'm loading, apps and doing speed tests like the one I did yesterday. So that makes me wonder you know: will the Galaxy has 20 follow in the same footsteps as the Samsung Galaxy S 10 in terms of performance? That is something I'll test. You don't have to test like a couple of months from now, but it's really weird that that was the case. So in terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy has 20 definitely wins here, but maybe in the longevity you know, maybe that maybe the iPhone sentence might actually end up being a faster one at a certain point. But as of right now, that's that's pretty much the performance segment of it.
I'm hating on the cameras, the iPhone 10s. It's a dual camera set up to 12 megapixel lenses on wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens or the Samsung Galaxy s.20 has a triple camera, set up a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens at 64, megapixel, telephoto lens, then another 12, megapixel ultra-wide sensor and the front 10 megapixels on the galaxy has 27 megapixels on the iPhone 10 s. We can shoot 4k 60 frames on that front, camera on the S 20, or we can only do 1080p at 60 frames on that front, camera on the iPhone 10 s. So that's definitely a pretty cool advantage that we have on the s 20 over the iPhone tennis. For sure on that back camera, though I think the quality is definitely better on the galaxy s, 20 I guess that I'll be doing a whole.
Separate camera test, so you can guy can see all the photos and everything, but I do feel like overall yeah the galaxy s.20 has the better camera pretty much every single, which way you look at it. I think the iPhone 10 that still has a lot of going for it and I think the audio quality is probably still better on the iPhones, like I've, been saying for the last three years, but I think for sure that Galaxy S 20 still has a lot of going for it, and the biggest thing is: is that not only that additional ultra-wide sensor? But you also are able to shoot 8k videos which is insane that's a huge amount of resolutions and honestly I. Don't think anybody's really going to film with it, but that's still something cool that you have the ability to do that, where a lot of phones don't have it. So that's a huge cool feature and once I do my whole separate camera test. I'll go ahead and try to do a Que footage, but it's not gonna work because I'm gonna down scale up to 1080p.
So there's no point, but in terms of the camera that really pretty much covers it up now ending off with the battery life, the Samsung Galaxy s, 20 has a 4000 million power battery. The iPhone 10s has a two thousand six hundred fifty-eight million power battery both have wireless charging, but the Samsung Galaxy s.20 has reverse wireless charging, but I can tell you about the battery life is the Samsung Galaxy s.20 will definitely win by quite a bit, not only in terms of the battery life, but also in terms of the battery features. The galaxy s.20 can do that reverse. Where I was charging, it can charge up an iPhone, 10s wirelessly, where the iPhone tenants cannot charge up a galaxy s 20 and no iPhones can do it as of right now. So without a doubt, the galaxy s 20 will win in terms of the battery life and in terms of battery features and what I saw was, even if the galaxy s 20 has a 120 Hertz refresh rate on that display the iPhone 10 s will still probably not match that galaxy as 20 s.
Battery life may be at that 1080p at 100, Hertz, not 1440p at 120 yards might be a little different, but that really pretty much covers it up in terms of the battery life as well, that s xx definitely wins now. To kind of sum up the video and to answer the comparison, should you pick up a Samsung Galaxy has 20, or should you save money get an iPhone 10s or whatever the case is, but I will tell you are that for sure the iPhone 10s is probably the better value per dollar you're getting you know a lot of phones for you know $500, it's a really, really good price. However, like I've said before the Galaxy S 20 is just a better phone overall you're getting so much in that phone. There's. So many features that it's insane, and it's definitely a huge step up, in my opinion, from an iPhone 10s to a galaxy s 20, you know you're getting that 1440p display, 120, Hertz, better cameras, better battery life, reverse wireless charging and the list goes on and on and that's that's pretty much all I got to say hey if you want to pick up an iPhone 10s or a galaxy s 20 for those prices that I said before this will be down in the description you can get them from there and help support the channel at the same time.
