Welcome back to the channel everyone right now we get to take a look at two very different phones, but also very similar. At the same time, so the Samsung Galaxy S, 10 II, came out last year. You guys already know what type of phone it is. It was supposed to be kind of like a budget offering for Samsung, which is really, really cool, but the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip just came out, and it's supposed to be I, don't know what time it did. Emma graphic it's kind of gone for, but it's supposed to be like this Uber expensive phone I mean I spent over $1400 on this thing and there's a lot of hyper on it. A lot of people like it, and it's almost expensive as the Samsung Galaxy S 20 alto, which is supposed to be like the big phone, the most expensive phone, that Samsung is making besides the Galaxy fold right now, so I want to see how the Samsung Galaxy flip, compares to the Samsung Galaxy s.10 now, in terms of the price structure, like I, said, the Galaxy Z flip cost me about $1400 a little over that the Samsung Galaxy s 10 a though cost me about 300 something dollars about two months ago when I bought it, but right now on Amazon, you can pick it up for about 350 dollars which, if you think about it, that is about a thousand dollars cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy SII flip, which is pretty crazy. That's an intense price to pay for a phone of the quality of the s10, a Samsung Galaxy has Tenney's.
Quality is great and honestly there's a lot of advantages for the s10 II over this II flip and I. Think the main thing that you're paying for the Z flip would probably be the floating structure of it. I mean, besides that, it's a pretty normal phone, even like between the s10 plus and the Galaxy Z flip I found that SN plus being the better phone overall and that's 10 D. Of course it's not going to probably be better in a lot of ways, but it's still pretty impressive. How could the Samsung Galaxy S 10? He was back in 2019 last year, then the brand-new flagship Z flip, so that was a super long intro.
Looking on the front, the s10 II has a five point. Eight inch dynamic, AMOLED display it is a 1080p display, but it was a very good display at that. You know, even though it has the hole punch display in the corner rather than the center I like it, how it's in the center on Z flip, but that standees display was actually really, really good for being a 1080p display, even though that has 10 and that's 10, plus or 1440p I still found this panel to be very, very adequate. In my opinion and the Samsung Galaxy SII flip has a six point: seven inch dynamic, AMOLED display as well. It is a which is cool, but that resolution is also a 1080p by 26:36, so a little higher resolution.
Technically on that LCD floor, but they're both 1080p panels, the Z flip also has that covered display. We just won't put one inches, it's an AMOLED display on the front, but I'm not really going to hit on it too much I mean it's just like basically there for notifications and stuff. If you want to check it, you can't really do too much outside of that. Maybe software will help you. You know in the future do something, but as it is right now, you can't really do too much with it in terms of the screen.
I actually like the s10 east screen, more I feel like the Z, flip and I. Don't even feel like it. It actually does have an extra layer on top of it, I guess like a plastic layer below the glass layer and the kind of I don't know it just doesn't feel as good. In my opinion, as destiny's. Also, you have that crease across the center, which hopefully will get better over time, so I kind of do like the s10 ease panel for now, but that can change you know.
What's foldable technology gets a little better on the bottom USB type-c ports on both, but you do have that headphone jack on the Galaxy S 10 II, you don't have it on the Z flip on the back of dual camera, setups on both and like I stated, I mean that's 10, and s had plus a triple camera setups last year the s20 ultra has like 50 cameras in it. So I find it really weird that sensing put a dual camera setup on the C. Flip really doesn't make too much sense to me, but it's okay, a huge advantage for the s10 II, actually is that it does have a micro SD card slot, which is huge, and it's a really, really cool thing. That Samsung was able to do for the s10 II, but the C flip. For some reason it does not have a micro SD card slot, which is very, very weird, I, find that for them doing that, a very weird thing: you're, paying that much money for a phone like that, and it doesn't even have the capability that their budget e phone from last year doesn't happen.
Even my Galaxy S series devices, most of those phones have micro, SD card slots, so I feel like they could have put it on the Z flip. If they weren't able to put a foldable battery in here, I think they could put a micro SD card slot in here, but I guess it's whatever. There's no IP certification on the Z flip, but there is ip68 dust resistance on the s10 e, so you can go up to one and a half meters of water for thirty minutes on the Galaxy has tiny, but you do not have any type of capability like that on the Samsung Galaxy SII flood, and that really pretty much covers it up in terms of the outside. Now hitting only software, because the Z flip came out, you know, obviously, a year after the s10 II I think it's safe to assume up. The s10 is probably going to not last as long as is he flip, but here is the thing that we've been seeing before with the note 10 and note 9 and all those note line phones, even though those were more expensive.
Those technically got fewer versions of Android than the s-series, mostly because it came out later in the year than early on in the year, and the Z flip I think is more or less the same. I think it's going to match the same as series updates. As the know, the year came out. So that's 20. It's going to get the same updates as that, and if we see a Z flip to next year, we can probably expect to see a reoccurring thing every single year of the Affordable phone.
So that would make me assume that this thing will probably last longer than the s10 II. But again the software updates for affordable phones, I, don't know! What's going on because with the galaxy fold, Sampson didn't push that update the same time. It's coming for the s10 lineup. They pushed it for the lineup which is weird because the fold was like the most expensive phone. But the series is like their cheapest phones that they make, so I found that extremely weird I'm not really to sure.
What's going out there, but hopefully in the future, they can kind of fix up the affordable technology software and go from there, but in terms of software, that really pretty much covers it too. Now, in terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy S II has the Qualcomm Snapdragon a 55 chipset, an outscore CPU and Arena 640 GPU, and there were two different models at 128 and 256 egg models. The base model has 6 gigabytes of RAM. The types' ear model has 8 with the Samsung Galaxy SII flip has a Paco snapdragon, 855, plus chipset and outscore CPU and Arena 640 GPU, and there's only one model of the C flip and that one has 8 gigabytes of RAM and what I can tell you about the performances. I think both phones are fast, I think you know.
Really. There is not one phone that completely blasts the other one out of the water, but I do think the Z flip just has a little of an advantage. It just seems to be a little faster. Sometimes that's 10, II, really I'm, actually pretty happy about that type of performance. On that phone I was expecting it to be kind of watered down to not be as fast as what I was expecting, but it really wasn't that bad and on 1uy 2.0, it's more or less the same. You know I think it's just basically, whatever I did with it.
I want you why it handles it perfectly fine and I. Think the software wise it's perfect for the time being, but hopefully Samson can go and kind of, not you know, can kind of go more stockade. This stills I have a lot of skinning and a lot of theming going on and a lot of background processes, running I feel like if Samson kind of throws, that out of the water and just kind of focuses on performance I think they go a long way by keeping their phone stocking getting a lot more out of performance. The Z flips performance is perfect too. It hasn't slowed down on me head or anything like that and, like I said, whatever I threw at it and ran perfectly fine.
Destiny is exactly the same way so again, I, don't think one phone completely outlast. The other one in terms of performance, but I do think that the Z flip might have a little of an advantage and a little of an edge just because it has that 855 plus chipset other than that they're. Almost the same, if you're, comparing the baseball SND to the only model dizzy flip like I, did you do get two additional gigabytes of RAM, which can be pretty cool, and I really do like that. But you can always get two additional kinda bytes of RAM. If you just get a s10 or if you opt for that type to model of destiny, you don't necessarily need to spend for that $1,400 to get that set the technology so in terms of performance they're, both very good, but the Z flip might just be a little of a better performing phone at the end of the day.
But it's very like you have to kind of really look at it and compare them to even see it. Now. Moving on to the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy as tiny, has a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens and a 16 megapixel ultralight sensor, the Samsung Galaxy SII flip has a 12, megapixel, wide-angle lens and then a 12 megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Both can do 4k 60, which is really cool on the front.10 megapixel cameras on the front and both can do 4k 30 and the weird thing is they're, almost exactly the same exact camera sensor except the Samsung Galaxy S, and he has at a higher ultra light sensor, count at 16, verses, 12 and I. Find that really weird.
You know you should be putting a crazy camera on this thing. You know the same one as s20 Ultra. Why would you put the same one even a worse one than that any on a phone that costs over $1400? You know I mean, and I understand that the foldable part of the phone- that's what's people paying for, but I think that's not really worth the money, but I'll talk about that in a second camera. Quality is very good on both phones, destiny does a very good job and I. Think one is like an amazingly crazy, better than the other one they're, both very, very good camera sensors, but maybe destiny actually might have the advantage because it does have that higher megapixel count.
That's really the main difference I've been able to see here in terms of quality when I test them I, don't really see a big difference, if I'm being honest, but that really pretty much covers up in terms of the camera now ending it off with the battery life. The Z flip has a 33 hundred million power battery. The SNE has a 30 100 million power battery between both of them I think they both have pretty decent battery life. I've been able to test the Z flip further yeah and I think both have pretty good battery life. That's tiny, though.
That's how that really cool feature of having reverse wireless charging, which is an awesome little feature. Not a lot of phones have that capability, the SND has it the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip does have it actually as well I forgot to say so between both they both had that cool little feature, which is awesome, but I do think the battery life might be a little better on the galaxy s 10 D only because it has that smaller screen and technically doesn't have a second screen to kind of power it than the Z flip. So it might be a little of a difference, but I don't think one's going to outlast the other one by a lot. So to kind of sum up the video and to answer the question: should you pick up a galaxy s tinny or pick up a Galaxy Z flip, or should you keep your ESTA knee or whatever the cases I personally do think that the s10 II for the price that you're paying for it is the way better phone of the Z flip, like I've, stated before the Z flip you're, really only paying for that foldable thing. If anything, the Z flip is kind of a downgrade to that any.
In a lot of ways, but if you want to have a foldable phone, if you want people to say: oh, my god, this guy's got the new phone, it's so portable, that's net! Then obviously good doesn't flip. You like that's, basically what you're paying for it other than that I think the Samsung Galaxy S II is a more practical one. It costs $1,000 less nesting, II and you're still getting a very capable, very powerful phone. You can't really go wrong with it in my eyes, so that really pretty much covers it up there.
