What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome back to a new camera comparison video. Today we have the brand new Samsung Galaxy S 10 and the pixel three XL. Now the camera systems on the back of these two devices are very different. So on the back of the S, then we have a wide-angle lens. We have the regular camera, and then we have an optical zoom lens we're on the back of the pixel. We only have one camera so the s, then you can take pictures in more situations.
Now you may have heard that the pixel 3 XL is probably one of the best phones out there for taking pictures. So I have to say there's quite surprised by some results of that I've seen throughout this video. So in this video we're gonna check out some daytime pictures. I've also included a bunch of portrait mode pictures, then we'll check out some nighttime pictures, then we'll move on to some sample videos and although at the end, some selfies, and before we start make sure to press that like button, because it's going to help this video quite a lot and I guess some. You should start with some daytime pictures so for daytime pictures.
I personally think that the Samsung Galaxy S 10 did better for pretty much every single pictures. So, first, the dynamic range is better. So you can see more on details in the shadows, then the color accuracy from the S 10 pictures is also closer to reality. And lastly, if you start zooming in on some of those pictures, you're also going to notice that there is more detail in the pictures taken by the s. Then, but again, everyone has different preferences.
So definitely, let me know in the comments down below, if you prefer the pictures taken by the s then or the pixel three XL moving on to portrait mode pictures well, portrait mode pictures if you are looking for the pictures that look the most realistic, I, think the pixel three XL does a better job. But if you are looking for the pictures that look better I feel that some pictures taken by the S then on to the portrait mode or the live focus mode. How it's called look will look better. So once again, definitely let me know in the comments down below on which one you prefer for portrait, more pictures and I guess I'm going to let you guys watch a few more pictures, so you can make up your own mind. Moving on to nighttime pictures well for nighttime pictures, I filter the pixel three XL d, better for pretty much every single picture.
So, first of all the pictures are sharper. They are also brighter, and they look better overall now keep in mind that I use the Night side model with a pixel three XL. We have a night model on the s 10s all, but the night mode only comes on whenever it wants to come on, and that doesn't make that much of a difference. Some pictures in there actually were taking with the night mode from the s10, but you can't really tell them the difference. So, let's check out on those pictures- and we are moving on to some video recordings or for video recordings.
I have to say that both devices did extremely well and the video quality is very similar in between this stood. Even though I filled them. The video recordings from the ESSTIN are somewhat better, but only somewhat better. They Mr. blue station seems to be a bit better from the s10 as well, but at the same time the instable station from the pixel 3xl is also perfect.
So definitely let me know the comments down below which device you prefer for video recordings me personally, I think I would go for the s10 just because it has 4k video recordings on the front-facing camera, where the pixel 3 XL has only 1080p recordings for the front. So, let's check out those some recordings. Alright, we have a quick video test between the Samsung Galaxy S stand and the pixel 3 excels from currently recording poor kid. The 30 frames per second at this resolution. Both devices have image stabilization, so of course I'm walking, and it is a bit too windy as well.
So this is how 4k video recording from these devices look like moving on to our second video, so once again, I'm recording in 4k at 30 frames per second, because of this resolution. Both devices have image stabilization, but the Samsung Galaxy S 10 can also do fork at 60 frames per second, something that the pixel can only record in 1080p. So this is how recording the pro facing camera would look like. Alright, we have a quick video test between the Samsung Galaxy S then, and the pixel 3x cells, so this time around I'm not recording at night, because I wanted to see how the footage looks um, if I'm, recording in low-light and, of course, I'm recording in 4k at 30 frames per second, and I am walking, and it is freezing um tonight. So I'm just going to walk a bit further.
I just want to see how that church looks like on video, so yeah. This is how these two devices would record during the night and lastly, selfies or for selfies I feel that the pixel 3 XL deeds, better for daytime selfies and for nighttime month selfies, and there is really no comparison for selfies, not mentioned that you can use the night side mode for selfie to the pixel 3 XL as well. So, let's check out those selfies so to quickly conclude. This video I feel that the Samsung Galaxy S 10 does better for daytime pictures and for video recordings, where the pixel 3xl does better for nighttime pictures for selfies and some portrait mode pictures, because I have to say that I kind of like some portrait mode pictures taken by the S stand as well, but I'm curious to see what you actually think, because that's just my opinion and everyone has a different preference for pictures. So definitely let me know what you think: do you like this one or this one? Alright guys hopefully enjoyed this video? If you did like it, press that, like button, don't forget to subscribe, and I'll, see you in the next one thanks for watching.
