Samsung Galaxy S10 vs Galaxy S10 Plus: The Differences!

Everyone Tim Schofield here and at unpacked today, Samsung unveiled their new lineup of phones, including the s10 plus as expected, but also a s10 II I will actually be doing a separate video on the s10 you be sure you click that subscribe button, so you're notified when I go alive with that. But with that being said, the s10 and s10 plus is here, and I got exclusive early hands-on, with both devices. I want to go ahead and compare the two talk about the main differences between the devices and give my thoughts on both of them. Let's get started here are both of the new devices, the s10 plus on the left, with a six point, four inch display and the s10 on the right, with a 6.1 inch display both have the same triple camera system on the back standard, wide-angle lens and added ultra wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens for optical zoom on the right side of the phones is where the power button is make note the plus variant. The power button is a little higher up on that right side towards the top. You have a microphone and a slot for the SIM card and a micro SD card for expandable storage down at the bottom.

Thanks, Samsung, you do have a headphone jack, still included USB-C slot microphone and in one of these stereo speakers on the left side of your volume rockers and a dedicated Bigamy button, which is Samsung's voice assistant and then on the front, a dual front-facing camera system on the + and a single one on the regular variant. The added lens is actually a depth sensing lens on the plus variant. So it's kind of up to you how many selfies you actually take and, of course it looks a little different with the displays and speaking of those displays. They are brand new dynamic AMOLED displays the first of its kind. Each year, 10 plus certified for more vibrant, bright colors, great contrast, ratio, deeper, blacks, brighter whites.

They look fantastic. Both of these phones will launch with Android 9pi with Samsung's one UI over the top of it, which I've actually been a fan of so far, Samsung did a good job with this software. When it comes to that power button, I noticed, then the s10 plus I had to reach a little further, with my thumb, when comfortably holding the phone than I did with the s10. That's just a personal thing and depending on your specific hand, size and then the same goes for the other side, with the big speed button in the volume rockers just kind of had to reposition just a little depending on which phone I was actually holding the power button was a little more noticeable than the volume rockers and the big speed button work, and when it comes to that back camera system, I'm actually happy that Samsung included the same lenses and both devices. So you don't have to sacrifice one way or the other.

You have the standard, 77 degree lens ultra-wide 123 degree lenses and then of course, the 2 times optical zoom, lens included. So you're going to take some great pictures like in the past. When it comes to battery life, the plus variant does have a larger back at 40 100 million powers versus the 3400 William hour battery of the s10 and historically, the plus variant has gotten better battery life more on that in the future. Video. Of course, both models include the latest Snapdragon 855 processor from Qualcomm, which means performance should be very good, but also means both.

These phones have an in display fingerprint scanner with the new ultrasonic fingerprint technology, which is a pretty awesome technology I'm, actually going to do a separate video on that. So stay tuned for that, but I'm also going to set up that fingerprint scanner in my unboxing video, which should be live in two three hours, so be sure you click that subscribe button, so you're notified when that goes up, even though they have the same processor Samsung has decided to add a vapor chamber cooling system to the Plus model, so it should stay cooler when you are doing some high-end gaming and such what Samsung has realizes that gamers generally tend to go towards a larger display model. So that's why they've added it in the Plus version. Another feature absolutely worth mentioning you swipe down from the top and turn on wireless power share, set it down, face down on a table anywhere and set a wireless C charging enabled device on top of it, and it will actually start to charge whether it's headphones another phone, such a cool addition to this phone. If you plug your phone in at night on your nightstand, you can plug your headphones in just set them on top, so you can charge them both at once.

It's also talked about storage pricing and release of these devices, so they both go up for pre-order on February 21st, and if you pre-order, you get the galaxy Buddy headphones, which is their new wireless earbuds with the phone. Now they also will go on sale on March 8th. There is a 100 dollar difference between the base models of these phones, the S 10 starts at $900 and then the S 10 plus starts at $1000, and that is for the base model. Now both of these base models are starting at 128, gigs of internal storage. That's the base, and it's the bare minimum amount of storage you can get plus you have a micro, SD card slot, so big shout out to Samsung for actually including enough storage space for everyone.

Of course, price will go up depending on the specific storage model you do get now. Both these phones have 8 gigabytes of RAM in the 128 gig or 512 gigs of storage models. So those are the only two options you have in the s10. However, the s10 plus adds a separate model, and that includes 1 terabytes of internal storage. Yes 1 terabytes of internal storage and 12 gigabytes of RAM, so you do have that option of going all the way up with the s10 plus, however, 8 gigs only on the s 10 to 12 gigs of ram models only with the one terabyte storage model of the plus.

So that's all the differences between these two phones. A lot more coverage coming soon on all the Galaxy S 10 models so be sure to click that subscribe button. I'd really appreciate it. Give this video a thumbs up as well. If you liked it I hope you enjoyed it and as always guys.

Thank you very much for watching.
