Hello everyone and welcome to the Samsung Galaxy m51 camera review. Before we begin it is my humble request to all of you. Please subscribe to my channel and press the bell icon. Also, if you find this video useful at some point, do hit the like button too. All right the m51 came out a few weeks back. This phone is not only a battery powerhouse, but it also offers a very decent camera setup.
The four cameras at the back of the Samsung Galaxy m51 include a 64 megapixels main Sony imx682 sensor. The remaining camera details are on your screen. The front camera is a 32 megapixel Sony, AMX 616 sensors. This phone is using the image processing of the Qualcomm snapdragon 730 chipsets. When you open the camera app, it welcomes you with the typical Samsung one UI camera app with the ultra-wide and the zoom options appearing on the screen.
The dedicated 64 megapixels option resides in the resolution options at the top. This phone has its live, focus the dedicated macro, camera panorama, food night mode slo-mo and the hyper lips under uh the mole tab. The pro mode is quite good, but this doesn't offer raw option. Other options of the pro mode are on your screen. There is no pro video mode in this phone for the videos.
This phone can do 4k at 30 frames per second or 1080p at 30 frames per second for both the front and the rear cameras. This phone has as for all the resolutions. You cannot switch between wide and the ultrawide cameras, while recording a video here is your walkthrough of the camera apps settings. I have taken a number of images on this phone a little disclaimer and reminder here. The images that you are about to see in this camera review are similar to what you saw in the Poco x3 camera review on my channel.
I do keep telling you guys with each new video that I took three phones along with me on my trip to north, and I captured hundreds of the same images on all the phones, including the OnePlus word m51 and the Poco x3, so make sure that you do not confuse yourself here. Rest assured, you can fully rely on this camera review. Let's start this review with a 64 megapixel high-res image. Now the high-res image shows you immense details because of its huge size. If you zoom in you can find each and every single element in the image completely visible, it looks like a slight amount of highlights is missing in the image some areas.
Looks extremely dark. Dynamic range is not the best in this mode, the same image in the normal mode, and now this image looks as if more highlights have been added here. Colors in this one, look more vibrant, but with a huge compromise on the details, the 64 megapixels and the 16 megapixels normal images side by side for you to clearly spot the difference. There is a great lack of dynamic range on the left side. While the image on the right side looks perfect.
Let me show you more such images to help you choose the mode that you would want to shoot. Your images in now all the 64 megapixels versus the normal images that I am going to show you now uh. The only major difference that you will find between these images would be in the details. Uh with the 64 megapixels images being on the better side and uh with the highlights and the colors being better on the 16 megapixel normal mode, pixel, meaning cameras are very good when it comes to performing in the low light and the Sony sensor that we have on the Samsung Galaxy m51 performs way better than the Samsung's uh gw1 sensor, which we saw in the Samsung Galaxy a71. We will verify this further in awful camera comparison of the Samsung Galaxy a51 versus the Samsung Galaxy a71, but for now the m51 is producing very good result for these images.
Here, m51 consistently produces a cooler tone and that's because of the Sony sensor, along with the snapdragon chipset. If you take a look at these 64 megapixels versus the normal image. Look at the background, the normal image shows the sky clear everything looks appropriate in the normal image on the right side, but on the 64 megapixel side, the top right corner of the image has the sky completely washed out so yeah on the m51. Your best bet is to shoot the images in the normal 16 megapixels mode. Let me show you some more normal images now.
What I don't like about this camera is that a slight amount of shake while capturing an image can completely blur some elements. Uh, you need to have your hand super steady, even while capturing the images, although I'm finding the indoor and the outdoor performance of this camera quite good, but it can do weird things in the pride conditions, especially when it loses its ability to control the highlights. It can be a concern for the mobile photographers tech. Savvy users can also use the pro mode of this phone's camera to capture controlled light. Here are two images: to give you an idea about the depth of field captured by this phone great background player here, but not very good edge detection.
Some edges are blurred. Let me know what do you think about these two images, particularly? Do the apples look good to you as far as ultraviolet and normal camera is concerned, the ultrawide camera has a clear difference of colors, but here you do not get any details at all. The ultrawide camera gives a very amazing look to everything in the frame. Here is your look at an ultra white versus 64 megapixels versus a normal image of mine, and you guys have to tell me which image look. Are you finding the best? Let's take a look at some non-night mode versus the night mode images, the night mode on the m51 works quite well, but only when you have not used a phone better than this.
I was using the m51 along with the Poco x3 and the OnePlus note. The m51's night mode is better than the Poco x3, but it is inferior to the OnePlus word. Also, its night mode does not produce crisp, clear images. The macro camera on the phone works in a strange manner to capture the super clear images you have to maintain an appropriate distance from the subject. Getting too close or being a bit away, will make the subject look blurry, as you are seeing on the screen right now.
It was a bit hard for me to capture a good macro image on this camera. Usually the macro images come out very good, but I am not sure what went wrong with the Samsung Galaxy m51. Let's take a look at the front camera now. The front camera is a 32 megapixel shooter, and it can take amazing selfies edge. Detection is amazing.
The skin tone is close to natural and the details. Uh are quite good too. Honestly. I liked its front camera result. A lot m51's live focus, which is actually the portrait mode works quite well too.
Ah, this is how good your images are going to be when capturing the live, focus mode check the background blur. There is a great depth effect here. Let's take a look at the videos now this phone can do 4k at 30 frames per second, as I mentioned earlier, it works in both the normal and ultrawide mode. The video resolution is fine. This phone does have as for all of its modes.
Um the 1080p mode works in the normal and ultraviolet mode too. It would have been perfect to see a 60 frames per second mode on this phone, but unfortunately, that's not available for now. Oh, this phone's front camera can also do 4k at 30 frames per. Second, you will see a full HD front camera sample in a bit all right, guys, uh. This is uh the front camera video comparison between uh, the Xiaomi poke x3 and the Samsung Galaxy m51.
Now the poke x3 is limited to 1080p at 30 frames per second. On the other hand, m51 can do 4k at 30 frames per second from its front camera as well. I am not sure about the mics voice recording quality in this video. However, I am shooting outside in uh extreme sunshine, and you can definitely get a better idea about the color composition, saturation and all other elements of the video that you necessarily keep have to keep in mind. So here is your look around make sure to drop your thoughts about this video result in the comment section down below and that's all with the Samsung Galaxy m51s camera review, and it's time for the verdict.
Galaxy m51 is priced below the Samsung Galaxy a71. This phone's price matches the price of the Samsung Galaxy a51. If I compare it to the Samsung Galaxy a51, it is a device with a far better camera than the Samsung Galaxy a51 and if we compare it to the OnePlus north, the node has a superior camera, and you will see that in my camera, comparison of the Samsung Galaxy m51 versus the OnePlus note, which is all set to come out in a few days. Camera is not the main selling point of the Samsung Galaxy m51. It is in fact this phone's big 7000 my battery.
So if you want a phone with a good camera and a battery that will never end while you do your photography thing for long hours, the m51 is definitely the phone that you want.
