Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) Quick Review: First Phone With Four Rear Cameras!

How many rear cameras. Do you need in a smartphone? Most brands are content with one or two well, some are pushing boundaries with three for Samsung under latest phone. The galaxy 92018 4 is a magic number hi guys. My name is John leaves, and we're here in Malaysia to take a look at Samsung's latest mid-range phone. Now, each camera in the galaxy, a nine has a specific purpose. Samsung wants to give consumers the ability to take beautiful, zoom shots, wide-angle photos and conventional stills all in one camera.

This is crazy, quad camera setup has made its way to the sweet slide. First, thanks to Samsung's focus on putting new features on mid-range devices before it hits the flagship line. Now, if Samsung wanted to make a statement with the galaxy, a 9 well that quad camera certainly has everyone talking. The galaxy 9 is the world's first smartphone to have that many rear cameras and, as we mentioned earlier, each has its own distinct function so going from top to bottom, you have an 8 megapixel, F, 2.4, 120 degree, wide angle, camera a 10, megapixel F, 2.4, telephoto camera with 2 times optical zoom, a 24 megapixel F, 1.7 primary camera and a 5 megapixel F 2.2 def sensing camera. While you cannot use all four at the same time.

Obviously the point of that many cameras is to give users added flexibility for their photography needs. Why settle for a phone that specializes in wide-angle shots or zoomed images, when you can get them all with a galaxy a9 that many cameras make the rear the phone look real busy, though down to the point of absurdity. There certainly should have been a way to remove the depth sensor and pass this function so either the wide or optical zoom sensor, since that is what the company essentially did for the Galaxy Note 9 and s 9, plus, like the Galaxy a7, the galaxy a9 has a glass back. The main difference here, though, is the a9. Also has a metal frame and a 3d curve at the edge of that glass back giving the phone an extra premium feel it also comes with a dedicated victory button and a USB type-c port.

The Gauss, a nine brings back the fingerprint scanner to the rear that was relocated to the side on the Galaxy a7 Samsung has stubbornly refuse to put notches in many of their phones and the Galaxy a9 is no exception. You get slim top and bottom bezels that sandwich the 6.3-inch full HD, plus Super AMOLED display above that display is a 24 megapixel F 2.0 camera for selfies. Instead of Samsung's homegrown Enos chip set, the company has decided to go with Qualcomm snapdragon 616 processors, with the Philippine version, sporting, six gigs of ram and a hundred twenty-eight gig of internal storage. While the galaxy a7 is a mid-range contender. Samsung's pricing for the galaxy 89 placed sit at flagship territory at 30 2990.

The phone will be difficult to swallow for people who don't believe in Samsung's quad camera ambitions. It's definitely a statement from the company, but prospective customers will still take a lot of convincing to drop that much money for what is essentially a mid-range phone. Come December 1 when it arrives in the Philippines.
