It's about hi everybody and welcome back to the channel in today's video we're going to test out the charging speed on the brand-new Galaxy 880. The reason why I'm testing this device out is because it actually supports a slightly faster charter than some of the actual devices that we've seen from Samsung earlier this year now I'm, not talking about the Galaxy Note and that one hasn't been officially if I've made available. So this is talking about the galaxy 880 and the 25 watt charger that comes in the box using USB, c2, USB cable, which gives us the ability of charging these devices a lot faster. So we have a thirty-seven hundred million battery here in the galaxy an eighty. Let's see, how long does it take us to go from zero to a hundred percent? So, as you guys saw there with the time-lapse, the overall charging time was roughly about an hour and 37 minutes. It took us from zero to 100% in an hour and 37 minutes which, coincidentally, it's roughly how long it takes the galaxy s, 10, plus, to charge up a much bigger battery, but it also has a slower charger, which is a little confusing and the reason behind that is I think the way the thermals, or at least the system is set up to basically handle temperatures.
When we initially started the actual charge, as you saw from 0 to 5 minutes, we were running at 99 degrees, and we only went up to about 10 percent and then at 10 minutes. We went up that almost 20 percent, but we were up to 102 degrees and at the highest level, when we were around a 30-minute mark where we got 54% or 52%. That's basically half of the battery on this device. We were running at 108 degrees, so my thing would be is I think what they do essentially is they're going with the huge push at the beginning going through, and obviously the thermals are high, which unfortunately could lead to a shorter battery life. Just keep that in mind, but if you do need a quick boost in 30 minutes, more than half the battery, that's actually pretty decent and then of course, afterwards, when we started going into the 45 minutes where we got to 74% the battery started.
Well, the temperature started to dip a little. It was 104 still a little warm and I. Think as time went on the battery temperatures started dropping, so we were actually able to get better thermals, but the charging speed basically became down. Well, he went down to a crawl like a ridiculously slow, slow charging. So keep in mind.
The AAT is not intended to be the flagship of now. This is not the competition to the S line. It's essentially in another line that Samsung has to offer. That offers us the new technologies in there. The flip out camera is one of the definitely big selling points of this device and, of course, the ability of going to 100% from zero at an hour and 37 minutes on a 37-min battery I think it's very nice, although the faster charger seems to basically do mostly well.
Most of the work at the beginning part, and then after it hits a certain point because of the thermals it just. He starts charging at a much slower rate now, how much of that is going to impact the battery life? I'm, not sure if that's gonna, basically well time will tell us exactly how this will go, but overall this hopefully was helpful. Let you know exactly how the battery charging speeds are using the new charger with the AAT. Hopefully, this is also a little of a preview of what we can see from the note 10, as this is also supposed to be something that you know they're using a much faster charger than the standard s line devices or even order. Your note devices from years before well, I can subscribe as usual.
Thank you very much for the support, and I'll see you guys in the next video.
