How's it going everybody. This is Andre here with the Kevin breeze channel and in this video we're going to be doing a comparison between the Samsung Galaxy, a52 5g and the Apple iPhone 12. Let's get started so the Samsung Galaxy a52 5g has a six and a half inch 120 hertz super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p a PPI of 407, an aspect ratio of 20 by 9 and a screen to body ratio of 84.1 percent. We got a hole punch here for the front-facing camera and this camera is 32 megapixels. The iPhone 12 has a 6.1 inch OLED display with a resolution of 1170 by 2532, a PPI of 460, an aspect ratio of 19 and a half by nine and a screen to body ratio of 86 percent. The front-facing camera is on this giant notch right here and this camera is 12 megapixels.
So the iPhone has a higher resolution than the Samsung Galaxy. A52 5g. They both have really high quality displays. A super AMOLED is pretty similar to an OLED display. So, there's that, but the Samsung Galaxy a52 5g has a 120hz display, whereas the iPhone 12 only has a 60 hertz display.
So movement on the screen of the Samsung Galaxy a52 is gonna, be a little faster and a little smoother as well. You can see that in the scrolling, the iPhone scrolling with the 60 hertz versus the Samsung Galaxy a52 with the 120 hertz. It's definitely a lot faster. This difference is going to show itself in stuff like video streaming in high performance gaming, where there's lots of movement on the screen. So that's something to keep in mind the biggest advantage.
The Samsung Galaxy a525g has over the iPhone 12 is that it has a much bigger display. As you can see here, the Samsung Galaxy a525g is a lot larger, which is going to be good for stuff like gaming and video streaming and pretty much all sorts of content consumption in general. With the higher resolution, the iPhone 12 might be a little better for viewing photos and editing photos too. Just because the resolution is higher, of course, but it is really close. Now the Samsung Galaxy a52 5g, depending on the variant you get is gonna, have either 128 gigabytes or 256 gigabytes of internal storage.
This specific model is the 256 gigabyte version. The iPhone 12, on the other hand, only has 64 gigabytes of internal storage. You can get it in 128 or 256 gigabyte variants as well, but this is the 64 gigabyte variant and this phone is still a lot more expensive than this one, even at its lowest level. So not only does the Samsung Galaxy a52 5g have quadruple the storage space of the iPhone 12, but it also has the ability to use a micro SD card to expand the storage and the most likely reason that you would ever even come close to using all the space on this phone is, if you're shooting a lot of video, especially 4k videos, because those take up a ton of space, but with a micro, SD card, you can expand it even more, so you're really unlikely to ever run out of space on this one, whereas with 64 gigabytes even for normal activities, you might actually come close. So if you're going to be doing lots of activities that take up lots of storage space, I would say the Samsung Galaxy a525g does have an advantage.
Now the a525g doesn't have wireless charging, but the iPhone does. So if that feature is important to you, definitely keep that in mind. As far as security goes, the a525g has a fingerprint scanner and face unlock, but the iPhone only has faced unlock, which is really disappointing. I don't know why they only have faced unlock for the iPhone when a phone that's much less expensive has both face, unlock and a fingerprint scanner. I don't know what stopped apple from developing an in-display fingerprint scanner, but unfortunately that is the way it is.
That being said, let's give the fingerprint scanner on the a525g a try and see how it performs this one's really nice right in the display, and there we go. That was really fast. Let's try it one more time and again really fast and responsive. I have no complaints there, a lot better than the iPhone's fingerprint scanner, which unfortunately doesn't even exist. Now we're going to take a look at the camera setup of these phones, so the Samsung Galaxy a52 5g has a 64 megapixel rear camera, a 12 megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5 megapixel depth, sensing camera and a 5 megapixel macro camera.
So this phone really has it all. As far as camera setups go, the quad camera is really useful. There's really not a lot that this phone can't do if anything at all the photos are really high quality too, and this phone can shoot 4k videos in both the rear and the front facing cameras which really comes in handy. If you're trying to shoot really high quality videos, the iPhone 12 only has a dual camera setup, with a 12 megapixel rear camera and a 12 megapixel ultra-wide camera. This isn't bad either, but I would say overall, the Samsung Galaxy a52 is gonna, be a little more versatile to give you an idea of what these cameras can do.
This is what the two photos look like side by side taken by the rear cameras of each phone. As you can see here, the Samsung Galaxy a525g has a really similar quality to the iPhone 12. The brightness might be a little much compared to the iPhone 12's picture, where it's a little more balanced, but the colors are more vivid as well, and a lot of this could have to do with the specific angle and lighting of the photo. This was by no means a professional shot. I really just snapped it real quick, so the bottom line is, you can see once again the iPhone, although it's a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy.
A525G, really isn't all that much better. As far as this camera goes now internally, the Samsung Galaxy a525g is gonna, get either six or eight gigabytes of ram depending on the variant. This specific variant is the eight gigabyte version, and this phone has the Qualcomm snapdragon 750 g processor. The iPhone 12 is getting 4 gigabytes of ram. With the Apple A14 bionic processor.
We ran geek bench 5 benchmark tests on both of these phones. The a52 5g came back with a single core score of 647 in a multi-core score of 1939. The iPhone 12 came back with a single core score of 1591 in a multi-core score of 4089, so there's a huge difference here, but at the same time the a525g is really past the threshold, where it really even makes a difference for basic activities. So if you're not doing super high-end things like rendering giant files when editing videos or playing a really high performance game with lots of complicated graphics, then you're most likely not going to be using the full power of the iPhone 12 processor, in which case the a525g should be plenty of power. The Samsung Galaxy a52 5g has a 4500 William hour battery versus the iPhone 12 battery, which is one of the smallest out there with the 2 815 William hour battery.
Now this is a pretty sizable difference. The Samsung Galaxy a52 5g is not only going to have more life per charge, but also more longevity down the road. So if you're either on the go and can't plug your phone in a lot but still have to use it a lot throughout the day or want a phone, that's going to last for a really long time. I'm talking multiple years here, then the Samsung Galaxy a525g is most likely gonna, be better for you, just because it's going to last so much longer, not that the iPhone can't last for a long time too, but with the larger battery like the one in the a525g, it's going to last even longer now in conclusion, which of these phones is better now. Obviously the iPhone 12 is a flagship phone at the end of the day, and it's going to have more quality and features than a phone.
That's not a flagship phone, but the most useful thing we can take away from this is which phone provides the most value, and in that I would say, the a525g is going to provide a bit more value than the iPhone 12. The reason being this specific variant of the a525g has so much more storage, literally quadruple that of the iPhone, also with the capability of using a micro SD card, so you're not going to run out of storage plus. This is so much less expensive. Not only that, but even though the iPhone has a more powerful processor with the a525g, you are still getting 5g capabilities, and you're, getting a perfect amount of processing power for almost everything. Besides maybe video, editing with giant files or high performance gaming, although I would argue that you'd be able to play most games that you can find on something like google play, as you saw from the camera, the camera really isn't too much different.
The iPhone might be a little better at handling lighting, but at the end of the day, it's really so close that you have to ask yourself. Is it really worth it to spend all that money on the iPhone 12 just for a slightly better camera, because the a525g does take perfect pictures and can shoot in 4k video as well? And, of course, the battery? The a525g has a much larger battery than the iPhone 12. Another thing that flagship phones typically have that phone like the a525g it might not have is dust and water resistance which actually the a52 5g, does have with water resistance up to a meter for 30 minutes. It does to an extent, take away a lot of the flagship phone benefits the iPhone might have so at the end of the day, even though both are perfect devices, the Samsung Galaxy a52, in my opinion, does provide more value for your money, but I hope you guys enjoyed the video if you did be sure to leave a thumbs up and subscribe and, as always I'll see you guys in the next one.
