And, this is Roman children, fiber text and in front of me today is the Samsung Galaxy a5 108 51, depending on what your preferences in terms of naming conventions, but the a5 one is one of two mid-range smartphones that Samsung recently ported South Africa. They hold a media event earlier this week with the showcased, a 5-1, the a7 one and the Galaxy Note in light, so we're going to be doing an unboxing of the galaxy a5, one today and kind of see, what's created in the packaging. What extras that Samsung is going to be providing consumers just for a bit more context. The device along with ei7 one and the Galaxy Note in light are expected to be available for purchase in South Africa at the weeks of February. There isn't a precise date to mention at this stage, but we believe it to be around about the 11th of it, which is when Samsung are holding a galaxy unpacked event where we should be seeing a new galaxy s device and potentially as well a foldable device. So back to the a51, as we mentioned this, this is one of two devices that mid-range devices that Samsung are bringing into the country.
The f1 is the less suspect of the two, but it's still got some really I cash in components, so a little of spring all right. So this is the FF 1 is parallel, got some batteries they would like. So this color option is, as far as you understand is only one depth: Samsung are looking to be in the country, specifically for the 5-1, and they're calling it prism crash black, so yeah, as you can see, is quite eye catching the Galaxy Note 8 also has a similar design in terms of a very reflective surface for the back cover and as you can notice over there, there are four lenses on the back. So just in terms of what we have on offer here, the FI one we've got a 48, megapixel main camera. There's then a 5 megapixel depth, sensing camera, a 5, megapixel macro lens and as well as a 12, megapixel, ultra-wide lens.
So in terms of lens and camera setup, it's definitely above par. When it comes to other mid-range devices, it should be interesting to see just how well they're performs up front. We've got a there. We go, so we've got a 6.5 inch, full HD, there's 2400 by 1080 resolution for the screen, and it's got something that Samsung is calling the Infinity our display, so, as you can see, is a little not sure with a punch hole which is where the front-facing cameras and on that front, since I'm gone for a 32, megapixel, softly camera. So until the camera specifications it looks like Samsung haven't, held back for the ff1 and days 7 1 just for reference.
It's also similarly respect on the camera front. I think their main camera on the rear is 64 million pixels, as opposed to the 48 megapixels on the a5 one here. So other elements, that's what I'm talking about outscore Enos chipset as well as 4, gigabytes of RAM and then 128 gigabytes with internal storage. Also, it has a four thousand William battery, so yeah in terms of specifications, it looks like Samsung haven't held backlight, as we mentioned. So, let's put the phone to the side for a moment and let's see what packaging man.
So if we have a look here, looks like this is a cover four or five if we can actually open it up yeah. So that looks like your standard plastic soft cover that you're likely going to want to use to cover your device with I, don't see how it fits yeah yeah, a nice snug fit you're going to want to keep one of those on just to protect that back cover, as well as limit the amount of fingerprints as much as I get out into it. So quick start guide, don't need that got your little pin to open up this sim tray, yeah standard charger, yeah, there's a USB to type see also standard for most smartphones these days and a pair of headphones. So, as you can see, there's a little headphone jack there, and that was slot in right there at the bottom, so I like some of the more premium flagship devices which I've ditched the headphone jack Samsung has opted not to do so on the F everyone and that's a good decision that works in terms of pricing. The Galaxy ff1 is his recommends.
You start at 6999 wrap the a7 one which, as you mentioned, has a slightly larger screen, the main camera, more RAM and six gigabytes and a larger battery at 4500 Williams. So there are three elements with supporting, better specs and consequently going to pay a little extra. So it's going to the a7 one is going to retail for 8999 rants and, as you mentioned, both devices are expected in early February, and we are suspecting from the 11th. So we've been lucky enough to be given this device to review. Our review should be up in roughly two weeks, so keep an eye out for that.
But yeah. This is just an unboxing of the galaxy a5 one app enjoy.
