Hello friends welcome to technique. This is normal here and in this video we're going to do a charging test on the Redmi Note, 9. , so Redmi Note, 9 comes with a 5020 my capacity battery and this supports an 18 watt fast charging. So in fact, when the device was launched, it was mentioned that there is a 22.5 watt charger included with the box package. But then there was confusion like there was mention of 18 volts as well. Now the company has clarified that this actually supports only 18 volts.
As of now uh. There is a software lock enabled on this device, because the 22.5 watt are charging has not got the certification and the testing required. So the charger is a 25 watt charger. So this is the box charger. So you can see here: uh 10, volt, uh, 22.25 ampere, that's 22.5 charging! So that's the charger, which is bundle with the box package, but it also supports uh 18 what you can see here: 9 volt, 2.2 amps, so that's 18, volt charging, so uh we're going to charge the device with this charger. So this is the air supported charger.
So right now uh, if you charge the device, you will get only maximum 18 volts, that's the current. It will pull out from the charger because there is a software lock. Now when that uh software will be updated, we don't have any clarity so right now we are gonna. Try charging this device so right now you can see that this is turned off no battery right now, so battery is empty right now, so we're going to charge this device, so we'll connect this device to the charger, and then we'll start the charging and see how much time it takes. So, let's get started, so now we are going to connect this, so there you go, so now we connected the device to the charger and the charging has started.
So, let's just uh turn on this stopwatch as well. So now, let's see how much time it takes to charge from 0 to 100 percentage, so we'll measure the timing at a specified time. I mean the charging at specified time like 15 minutes 30 minutes and see how much battery it has so uh we'll also see the uh, the heating. So you can see here right now: it's 29 degrees, so 30 degrees is the temperature right now. So there you go now next, lets uh measure that battery percentage at around 15 minutes of charging.
So let's wait for it. So now we are into 16 minutes of charging. Let's see the battery, so there you go. You can see that now it's a 12 percentage battery uh in around 16 minutes, it's kind of very slow right now, uh also it has a larger capacity battery. So it is definitely going to take some time.
So let's wait for it. So now we are at 30 minutes of charging, so you can see a completely 30 minutes of charging. Let's see the battery percentage, so 30 minutes, you can see it's a 23 percentage in terms of the battery. You can see that this mentioning fast charging here now, let's see the temperature as well, so it's got to 38 degrees.38 is the temperature now uh it was around 30 degrees. In fact, some areas it's like 40 degrees, so it does get warm a bit uh.
You can see that now it's around 40 degrees. Also, it's there on the back panel now display again, let's see how much temperature it has so again 39, so we can say that it's around 40 degrees, almost 10 degrees increase in around half an hour of charging. So again here uh, that's the battery uh! Now so 30 minutes, 23 percentage. Now, lets uh measure at one hour. So now we are into one hour of charging.
So you can see here. One hour is completed. Let's see the battery percentage right now, so you can see here 44 percentage in one hour, that's 60 minutes 44 percentage of the 5200 my I mean 5020 image capacity battery is charged so uh almost one hour and even not even it's not 50 percentage. Uh. That's definitely slow.
It's quite similar to what we have seen on the Redmi Note 9 pro. So let's now see how much time how much charge it has in one and a half hours. So now we have completed like one hour 30 minutes into charging. You can see one hour 30 minutes. Let's see the battery now so uh.
You could see that now the battery is at 71 percentage. So you can see here it's 71 percentage, so 71 percentage in one and a half hours, so it's pretty slow. Actually now next, let's see at two hours how much battery it has. So now we are into two hours of charging. So let's see the battery right now so two hours you can see here it's 91 percentage, so uh 120 minutes.
We have around 91 percentage of the battery on uh, the Redmi Note 9. So now, let's wait for the completing uh from 91 to 100 percentage, and then we'll see how much time it takes. So at 2 hours and 32 minutes. We have got 100 percentage, so you can see here now it's 100 percentage battery, so 2 hours and 32 minutes is what I took, and you can now just check the final temperature. So it is cooled down uh a bit.
Initially it went up to 40 degrees, but then, after that it cooled out now it was like 32 degrees. So overall uh the device took 2 hours and 32 minutes to charge from zero to 100 percentage using the 18 watt charger. So obviously, right now there is no 22.5 watt charging available. It's just limited to 18 volts, so that was a charging test on the Redmi Note.9 hope you enjoyed watching this video do hit that like button and also hit the red subscribe button for more videos, thanks for watching have a great day.
