Razer Phone Unboxing - The Ultimate Gaming Phone

Hey everybody and welcome back to tech Odyssey, so today, I'm here with something really special. Well, at least it's really special to me. I finally got my hands on a razor phone. Now I wanted to get one of these when they first came out in November of last year, but I was torn already, already committed to a couple of other devices. I picked up the note eight last year, and then I ended up man getting the iPhone 10, which was a terrible life decision because I absolutely hated it and get rid of it, but then I kind of got the pixel two, and I played with that for a while all those times, I passed on the Rings her, because I was worried whether it was going to be a legit real deal phone because it was their first time making a phone, so I was like I just couldn't buy into, especially for $6.99, but I picked one up for 399 and today, mostly today is September. The 11th I got into a couple of days ago.

As far as you know, this sale is still on through razors website. You can get one for 399 right now. If you use the code boohoo, it's like WH, oh, oh H, OO, I, believe use it straight to their side and check out that's how I got mine, so yes, I paid for with my own money. So if you're watching Jimmy my wife hates you, but thanks for looking out anyway, that's all I have to say on that. So here we go.

This is the razor phone, and they've got the cool Racer logo on the box, I'll read the obligatory stuff on the back, so we got a razor phone 64 gigabytes of internal storage, which is perfect, especially for last year's model phone lithium-ion battery four thousand William s--, which is ridiculous, especially whenever you have it paired with the Snapdragon 835, and it's a gaming phone. So you've got battery out the wazoo USB-C charging a cable charging, adapter, quick charger, sim, eject pen and important product information guide, and this is requiring internet connection, Racer ID for registration, some features, battery life and charge cycles. Very with you, some settings. Ok! Now we can open the box. So it's got this cool little pull tab here.

It's got this insert and, of course, as always with my unboxing you all, are getting to see this in real at the same time that I am experiencing it. Nothing I do is scripted everything I do. Is it recording in one shot all at the same time? So this is what you get so, whether you're watching movies in bed listening to music on your run or kicking a virtual expletive on your commute, you need a device that delivers breathtaking visuals cinematic audio on the power to lasts all day, introducing the razor phone, so I'll read the rest so fast. The device on you, holding your hands, is the culmination of our blood, sweat and toil began years ago, when we brought some of the most talented designers and engineers in the mobile industry under one roof i. e.

they bought out next bit rip my Robin phone, but I'll show you that, in the full review, all with a single mission to deliver the ultimate and mobile entertainment, and now the razor phone is finally yours to enjoy. Here. It is the razor phone, don't be fooled by this little cutout thing here, because I tried getting my finger in there, and it didn't work. So there's a little pull tab here, and this is the razor phone oh I'm, going to go ahead and set this off to the side for a second I'm going to read off some of the specs I had to pull up on GSM arena just to refresh my memory. So this phone is rocking a snapdragon 835, which is last year's flagship.

Processor, came out in April of last year with the Samsung Galaxy, s8 and s8. Plus it's got a 5.7 inch. IPS is mode display. IBM, oh and I had to look that up because I wasn't familiar with the is no terminology. Sorry not is no eggs.

Oh IGO, so I had to look it up. Eggs, oh, is an acronym for indium gallium, zinc oxide. It's actually a different type of semiconductor found on the TFT back plane, which is TFT, is thin film, transistor, it's where all that LEDs are on. There are LC e in this case. So basically what it is it's not a different type of screen.

It's a different type of transistor, that's in the screen, so it allows them to make a more power-efficient screen, so it uses significantly less battery. So not only do you have a four thousand William battery, but you also get this exhaust screen does, which is apparently much more expensive because it's made out of indium gallium and zinc oxide. So it costs a lot more than your regular LCD panel anyway. There's a little lesson on that all right. So we've got that display.

It's got dual 12 megapixel cameras. It's also got phase detection autofocus in one of them, which is phenomenal. You've got 8 gigabytes of RAM, so the only other phone mainstream United States right now has 8 gigabytes of RAM, which just came out three weeks ago as a Samsung, Galaxy, Note 9 and the base model only has six gigabytes of RAM. So we're talking eight gigs a ram in here. It's got a four thousand William battery.

It's got a power efficient, super-bright LCD panel in here it's got your quad HD, which is perfect, and then it's got a 515 pixel per inch density, which is just the bee's knees, especially in this 5.7-inch screen is Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which is personally my favorite out of the last three generations, whether you know up to five now I, don't really like five but 120 Hertz refresh rate on the screen. So that means that you get superfast, superfast images on your screen. So whenever you have that 120 Hertz it minimizes all that screen blur and makes it look much smoother much clearer whenever you're watching video and playing games, which is ideal, it's a gaming. So it is upgradable to android 8.1, which is currently running I, don't know about this one if it's got 8.1 on it already or if I'm going to have to go ahead and update it as soon as I turn it on. But it's up to 8.1 so 64, gigs of storage. You can put a micros card up to 512 gigabytes.

The second 12 megapixel camera on the back has two times the optical zoom. So you get the dual you get to double zoom, but you don't get all the pix elation, because it's a true zoom and not a digital one, which is perfect. The front-facing camera is 8 megapixels, which is nothing to scoff at, and it's got USB see for the charger. So let's take this plastic off. Sorry that all the rundown I like to be educational and informative as possible whenever I go through these reviews.

So you know exactly what you're getting yourself into I already have a screen protector for this in a case in the other room, so I'm going to put the screen protector on immediately I get done with this, but this is just a beautiful looking phone. It's got this solid metal body. I. Think it's aluminum ought to double-check that you got your fingerprint sensor over here on the right and, if you're familiar with the next bit robin series- phones, that's where they got this from, and I'll show you in my next video I actually have an expert, Rob and I still have it, and it was one heck of a phone I got it cheap when they were already dying once this got bought out by Racer, and they basically said we're putting the phone on life support. You have a year, so you got this beautiful dual 12 megapixel cameras on the back over here you got your volume buttons up and down.

There's no smart assistant button, which makes me very happy USB, see on the bottom, and then you got the dual speaker setup here on the front, so you've got full stereo speakers on the front, so you get that 5.7 inch super cool EX display, which is also IPS, and then you have the dual speakers bouncing out on the side. So you get all that amazing sounds straight up front. Let's power this baby up there we go, raise your logo powered by Android. Let's see what else is in the box get the rest of stuff out of the box there we go, that's cool it just kind of opens up like a portfolio, so we got little boxes in here. This looks like the documentation, that's cool! That's got a razor.

It's got a razor sim ejector tool I like that, a little of creative ingenuity. There see what else we got. This looks like the USB adapter for a headset, so you've got foam inserts in here. They really pull it all the stops with this stuff I can get it out. Presently kicking my butt.

There's got to be an easier way to do. This, listen just got stuck in their yeah, finally, sheesh alright, so there's your USB dongle USB, c2, 3.5 millimeter, and going back on the box. This looks like the regular USB-C charging cable. Hopefully this comes out a little easier. There you go.

Apparently all I need to do is pull the pull tab, I'm, officially an idiot alright! So got this nylon. Braided, USB cable, which looks pretty short, probably won't point eight feet if I had to guess and then this is our power brick. This want to slice it out. That is a pretty massive power brick, but it does have quick charge on it. So that's good to go straight out of the box.

Two point: six, seven amps, so that actually charges should charge little faster. There. We go set that off to the side and I guess it doesn't come with your phones, that's kind of disappointing. Well, alright! So you got a USB cable! We've got a power brick! We got a documentation with our sim ejector tool, and we got our little USB dongle there. So there we go all the box stuff.

Here is what the phone looks like. What the screen turned on. As you can see, I haven't done anything with it, yet I haven't turned I, just turned it on, so you're, seeing everything I'm seeing for the first time, but this phone is absolutely gorgeous. I'm going to set it up, and I'm gonna. Do my initial review here, probably tomorrow the next day go ahead and get it out of the way.

So you all can see a little what this phone is about, and I'm super stoked about. It's got a nice weight to it as well. This all-metal body, I'm, totally digging, so I'm going to go ahead and install my screen protector on here. It's a speaking. One I have a speaking case, so I'm going to go ahead and do the video of that while I install it.

So if you want to watch 10 to 12 minutes of me fiddle farting around trying to install a screen protector, that's sure to be enjoyable, for you, I'm sure, and as always, thanks for tuning in this has been the unboxing video of the Racer foam and more content to come on this and other things. So, as always, please hit the subscribe button hit the little bell. Apparently you need to do that. So you get notifications for all my videos and that's all guys, you all next time.
