Hey everybody welcome back to tech odyssey, so today, I'm here to do a gaming performance review on the new Poco x3 pro. This thing has a lot of potential and great performance hardware underneath the hood. It may look kind of unassuming, but I kid you not. It's got a snapdragon 860 in it, which is great high level flagship performance. You've also got six to eight gigs of ram, depending on which configuration you get 120 hertz refresh rate, so you get that nice reduced motion blur really high performance setting for gaming, and you get stereo speakers and there's a lot more, like the 5000 ml battery to keep you playing all day, so we're going to dive in take a closer look at this we're going to look in depth at several AAA titles: PUBG mobile Call of Duty, mobile Fortnite war, robots, some really important, high intensity games that people really like to play, and we're going to see how they work on the Poco x3 pro I'm going to give you a hint, though it works good. So before we get into all that, though, I do want to say if this is your first time stopping by the channel.
I appreciate you being here if you enjoyed the video, please hit the like and the subscribe button and little notification bell. If you want updates when new videos come out now, let's see how well this phone can game. First things. First, I want to get started with Fortnite. Everybody loves Fortnite.
So we'll start with this one. First, you can see in the graphics quality settings here it is set to epic. That's the default, autoconfiguration so that lets you know. You've got some serious power underneath the hood. So let's go ahead and jump into the game, and you can see what the game looks like on epic settings at 30 frames per second 30 frames per second is the highest that it will go on this phone.
You can also do 20. I don't know why you'd want to, but you can- and here we are flying in on the battle bus- and I want you to get a good top down. Look at this. So you can see there is a little of stutter once you initially jump out of the bus. This is just like a lot of other phones as you're starting the game.
There's just so much that you can see from up at the high level as you get down closer to the ground. It really gets a lot smoother and as you're playing the game, it is pretty smooth, there's a couple little glitches here and there as everything's kind of spooling up once you get into the game like you can see right there with the page flip. So once you get in here, though, once we get on the ground and start playing, there's not really a lot of issues at all, and I wouldn't really expect there to be with this. Snapdragon 860. Go ahead and land here find somewhere good.
So I can get some weapons and get into the fight, which is, of course, what you're going to want to do, and that's probably one of the reasons why you're looking at this phone snapdragon 860, you can get six gigs or eight gigs of ram and the 120 hertz refresh rate really is nice for gameplay because it illuminates a lot of that motion blur and gives you an extra edge whenever it comes to gaming. Also, you get the 240hz sampling rate on the screen, which means that it picks up every little sensitive detail as you're touching the screen, and we'll go get this guy that just flipped this car uh here we go so go and engage this guy, and he almost got me with the shotgun blast right there. You see that almost took all my health off, but I was clever enough to jump out of the way and was able to finish him off, but now there's somebody shooting me from over there we'll see if I survive this one news flash I don't, but on epic settings here you can see that it works perfectly fine, there are no issues! You can play this to your heart's content on this phone and yeah, I mean for being a budget flagship ult like ultimate budget gaming phone. I think this has a lot of great qualities that are appealing to people who want a gaming phone, but don't want to spend a ton of money. Now I've lowered it down to high settings.
This will smoothen things up a little, and you can see here already that there's a lot faster, animations going on you're, not seeing the stuttering none of that stuff. So this may be the more ideal frame rate and graphic setting so that you can play this more competitively. You don't have to worry about any of the lag any of the freezing any of the glitching, which again weren't really apparent. Once you get into the game on epic settings, but definitely on high settings, you don't have any problems whatsoever. It's super, super smooth and go ahead and take care of this guy who's, not paying attention and probably a bot, really I'm not very good at this game, but that's one of the benefits of being the guy making the video is.
I get to take all the highlight reels from when I'm not dying and show this off, so you can see it so anyway, uh this just about wraps it up for the Fortnite gameplay. I wanted to go ahead and show this off, so you guys can get a good feel for it because, of course, if you want to play games on this phone Fortnite's going to be one of the top three games, which is why I picked these so now that we're done with Fortnite we'll move over to pub g, which is another fan favorite this one. You can max this one out as well. I have it on see here, HD and on max frame rate or extreme frame rate, and we have other options there as well: HDR ultra HD, you can't do UHD, because this is not a quad HD plus resolution screen it maxes out at 1080p, but we can do the high definition textures, which we'll see here in a minute after I show you some of this gameplay here you can see that it's nice and smooth. We pretty much all know that you can play this game on mid-tier phones, so having a snapdragon 860 in here really means that you're going to be able to crank this up and have a nice smooth, powerful gaming experience, and I think that it performs well on this phone, and you can see here running around there are no problems.
There's no stuttering, there's no lag, it just looks perfect, and you get some nice decent gameplay out of it, and I was very fortunate enough to win this one of course again. Bots you see up top there. I killed 11. This guy that I'm fixing to take care of here is number 12 and yeah. If you've seen me play these games before, you know that I'm not a pub g master, but the important thing here is being able to see how well the game plays, because if you want to pick this up, then really, I think this is ideal for playing so many games.
We've taken a look at Fortnite now we're looking at pub g, and I'm fixing to bump it over. So you can see it now with the UHD resource pack, so we'll get ultra HD. This really takes the textures up a notch. Like look at the detail on the plane. Now it is that you can see all the lines all the different panels.
There really is a huge tremendous increase in the texture quality on this with this HD pack, so definitely download that, so you can play it. I think that it makes for a more realistic, more enjoyable gaming experience. You can see all the people running around in their underwear in much higher detail to this day. I still don't know why they do this, but either way I mean. Usually I find some clothes as I'm playing the game, but this early on in the game, as you can see here, I just landed- nobody's really wearing clothes anyway.
So, yes, you can see here with the ultra HD pack. I think that it looks perfect. This is probably going to be the ideal way that you're going to want to play it, and you can see there. It should be because of the higher like extreme frame rate setting. It should be higher than that.
Don't pay attention that block with the 26 on the 30. You can see that very well. It does 30 frames per second, it will get higher than that, but for whatever reason this app that I tried to use just kept sticking around 30, because even when I was playing other games that were clearly at 60 frames per second, it was also showing 30. So don't pay attention that, and you're not going to see that moving forward in other videos, but anyway, that was on the ultra HD texture pack, setting for pub g. So hopefully this has been helpful for that and, if you're a pub g player.
Hopefully this inspires some confidence. If this is something that you want to play, I think that it handles this one, probably the best out of all the games, because you can pretty much max everything out, and you still get such a really, really good gaming experience. PUBG is a good one to play. Fortnite is also another good one to play, and we're going to move on here and check out Call of Duty mobile, which is probably my favorite of the three to play. So one last look at the settings there very high and uh yeah.
So here we go Call of Duty mobile, and this was on my first live. I didn't show any other game footage, because this just went so well um, but I have this one maxed out as well. This is on, like the max frame rate on uh, the highest graphics settings that you can go on here for 1080p, and it's super smooth. There's like no problems, there's no lag and if you've seen any of the other gameplay footage that I've done before. Then you know that even mid-tier phones can play this one very well so having the snapdragon 860 in here, the 68 gigabytes of ram and the 120hz refresh rate on the screen really makes for a fantastic playing experience.
I like playing this game a lot, and this one particularly is a shiny gold star on this game. You can have lots of players in here lots of different opponents even hopping over and playing on the multiplayer, and it works like a champ, so this one definitely gets two thumbs up in the gaming category for this phone for the budget, gaming for the Poco x3 pro and yeah. Hopefully this has been helpful for you, of course, seeing what the gameplay is like on Call of Duty mobile. So we've taken a look at Fortnite, we've taken a look at pub g and also now Call of Duty, mobile and now one of my other personal favorites is war robots this one I bumped it up to 60 frames per second. So that's what you're, seeing right now, 60 frames per second, really makes for an epic gaming experience on this game.
I had been playing on 30 frames per second for so long and as soon as I bumped this one up to 60, it makes it feel, like a whole new game. Now I've got my titan much right now, so you can see I'm not moving really fast, but if you play with other faster techs, it makes a huge, huge difference. Whenever you're playing this game, because everything is so smooth, it's so quick and, like I said it's like a night and day completely different experience when you go that route, so this is pretty much it. As far as the gaming performance review on this phone again, we've taken a look at Fortnite we've looked at pub g, we looked at Call of Duty, mobile we've, looked at war robots, and we've seen pretty much all the AAA titles that are out there right now and this game handles them all without a hitch. So I think that this is a particularly distinct and perfect gaming experience for an inexpensive budget flagship phone, all right, pretty good huh.
I bet you weren't, expecting it to be that good though, and man that's 60 frames per second on some of these games, especially like war robots, it's like a whole new gaming experience. It really takes up a notch, it's so smooth, it's really enjoyable and then to top it all off the icing on the cake. You get the stereo speakers, so you get that really immersive experience. You get the perfect haptic feedback which helps keep you engaged. Furthermore, you get that 240 hertz sampling rate, so it's instantaneous when you press those buttons what happens on the screen and then the 120 hertz, refresh rate, which reduces the motion blur makes it look so crisp and smooth, and you can see so much better the details of what's going on while you're playing.
So I think that this really is kind of an ideal smartphone for the gaming world, especially because you're not paying a bunch of money. Traditionally, when it comes to gaming phones, you're paying a lot of money, you're paying like eight nine hundred thousand twelve hundred dollars to get a gaming phone, but a lot of people, don't want to pay that kind of money. You don't I mean who wants to pay that much money to play games on your phone when you can get a phone that produces tons of power and gives you ninety percent of the same experience with a much lower price point? And that's what you get here with the Poco x3 pro solid phone brings so much to the table and I think it really is an enjoyable experience and I think, if you're interested in picking it up that you'll like it. So that's all I've got if you have any questions or comments about the specific game play in here, the footage or any other stuff that you might want to see for future videos. Then please sound off in the comments, and let me know what you think and if you enjoyed the video please hit the like and the subscribe button and little notification bell.
