POCO M3 PRO 5G vs REALME 7 5G: qual CELULAR chinês com REDE de QUINTA GERAÇÃO COMPRAR? | Comparativo

Subtitled by Paulo Montenegro - @pmontenegroreal (Twitter) And here we have another duel between 5G cell phones – on one side there is a Xiaomi with the POCO M3 Pro 5G and on the other side the realme 7 5G. Which delivers the best value for money for those looking for a cell phone for the new generation of mobile internet? Let's find out! The 5G intermediates from Xiaomi and Realme bet on a differentiated design but are almost the same size and weight. Both feature a hole-shaped notch with the selfie camera being in the upper left corner of the realme and more to the center of the POCO. Back and sides are made of plastic. The realme 7 5G has a chromatic pattern of paint in silver or blue, with a narrow strip in the corner that takes the part of the cameras and crosses the entire back to the brand name at the bottom. The POCO M3 Pro has a black block that extends the part of the cameras and has the brand name stamped on it.

Its finish is also smooth and can be found in blue, black and yellow. None actually boast thin edges around the screen, but as we have LCD panels on both of them this was to be expected. The biometric part is due to a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button on the side. It responds well and doesn't have constant failures. There is a hybrid drawer in both, so you must choose to use two chips or extend storage.

There are headphone jacks on both, as well as the presence of NFC – the only advantage for the POCO M3 Pro is the infrared emitter to use the cell phone as a universal remote control. None really stand out in this part, so we'll give each a point in design. We have a 6.5 inch screen with Full HD+ resolution in both – the POCO M3 Pro features a 90 Hz panel, while the realme 7 goes further with a 120 Hz refresh rate. With that, you'll have greater fluidity with the system's animations. In both, it is possible to leave in automatic mode and allow the system to adjust the panel speed.

In terms of brightness, the two tie, but Xiaomi's wins in contrast, which results in more vibrant colors and a better viewing angle. None bring HDR to make the most of streaming services, while POCO's has the best color calibration by default. Each screen has its advantages – we'll give each screen a point. No stereo sound here. It's a shame that Xiaomi left the POCO M3 Pro out of their line of mid-range with dual speaker.

Both really deliver the sonic power but POCO's is a little better at sonic update. It has well-balanced mids and highs, and it's just a bass part of it. The realme 7 5G, on the other hand, lacks a lot in the midrange and presents distortion when the volume is at maximum, besides being worse for movies and music, it also doesn't come with headphones. We point to POCO in audio. The realme 7 5G comes with Android 10 while POCO's already has Android 11.

Neither of the two manufacturers comes to stand out in system updates, so know that there won't be Android patches up-to-date or the 12th version of the little green robot that early. Realme's software is full of shortcuts and there is a side menu similar to Samsung's Edge Screen. There's also a bubble that features a floating menu and resembles the S-Pen's access menu from the Galaxy Note line. Here you can set shortcuts like lock screen or take a quick screenshot. POCO also comes with several extras and modified Xiaomi apps that are also found on Mi and Redmi line devices.

In terms of fluidity the POCO M3 pro ends up falling behind, both because of the lower screen refresh rate and the system itself is not as well optimized as the rival's. Each system has its advantages and, with that, we give a point to each. Both come equipped with MediaTek hardware. The POCO M3 Pro brings the Dimensity 700, while the realme 7 5G comes with the Dimensity 800U. In theory, the second is superior to the first, but what about in practice? In our speed test we saw Xiaomi's phone take twice as long to open a dozen apps and games showing a big inferiority in multitasking.

In benchmarks we also have higher numbers for the realme 7 5G. In the case of AnTuTu we had an average difference of 30% in the score. It's also better at gaming and outperforms its rival in graphic quality and sharpness. The 120 Hz screen helps you go beyond 60 FPS in many games but don't expect more demanding games running at 120 FPS. Point for the realme 7 5G in performance.

There is a 5,000 mAh battery and the same screen size with the same resolution, we could expect similar autonomy in both but this is where the realme's well-optimized software also stands out and makes your device deliver superior autonomy. Anyway, the POCO M3 Pro is also capable of rendering more than 1 day of moderate use. Another point that really stands out is charging, with the realme 7 5G taking just over an hour to go from 0 to 100%, while its rival takes almost twice as long. Here the victory is easy for the real. We have a very similar set of cameras on both of us.

There's a 48MP main sensor and a dedicated 2MP camera for macros and background blur – the difference is that the realme 7 5G comes with an ultrawide one, for greater flexibility. Both record photos with similar quality in daylight and feature good night mode to save images from darkness. No macro excitement due to weak camera in no auto focus. But the realme 7 5G does better in blurring scenarios and still has the ultrawide to capture wider photos. With that, he gets the better of the rear camera comparison.

The realme 7 5G has a front camera with double the resolution but it doesn't necessarily record selfies with double the detail. We can say that the two are good in photos taken day and night. The realme is a little better in background blur but POCO stands out in skin detail and overall colors. We can declare a tie in selfies. The camcorder is the POCO M3 Pro's biggest weakness – it doesn't shoot in 4K and focus isn't the fastest.

There is electronic stabilization that helps to deal with the dreaded ones, but the image quality is far below what we saw in the photos. At this point, the realme 7 5G is superior at everything, even capturing audio on filming. We closed camera with the last point for the realme 7 5G. The POCO M3 Pro was officially launched in Brazil in June for R$ 2,400 while the realme 7 5G arrived in April for R$ 2,600. These are the prices to have the devices officialized here and with a national guarantee.

If you don't care about that, you'll find POCO's with a cheaper price in National retail via Marketplace. For being the most accessible, we will give points to Xiaomi. We close the comparison with the last point for the POCO M3 Pro. If you were in doubt about which 5G intermediary to buy between these two, now you know that the realme 7 5G is the best choice. It has a higher Hz rate screen, its software flows better, is more responsive to use with various applications and runs games more fluidly, has a more versatile set of cameras and shoots with higher resolution and quality.

POCO stands out for better sound, more up-to-date Android, better selfies in bright places, and can be found cheaper at national retailers if you don't care about the warranty. If you prefer to save money, you will have a good 5G cell phone with the POCO M3 Pro, but the realme 7 5G will please most as it is a more complete device. I'll stay here, a hug and see you next time.
