POCO M3 In-Depth Review. BATTERY KING. By Frankie Tech

A new Poco is here: is this the battery king of 2020? This is my Poco m3 review, hi, guys it's Frankie from Frankie tech good to see you guys again, and I'm here today with my full in-depth review of the Poco m3. Now this is the newest phone in polo's lineup after the x3 NFC that I really did enjoy and the pricing is yet to be revealed on this Poco m3. But I think, given the specs of this device, specifically the battery life 6 000 milliamperes, we may have a new battery king on our hands for 2020. , but before we start the review, let's unbox this bad boy and here's my full review of this Poco m3, starting with the design at 9.6 millimeters 198 grams. This is a fairly hefty device given its size, but in no moment did I ever feel it cumbersome, and the device is made of plastic. But it is a hardened plastic with no creaking whatsoever.

It's about as good as you can hope. For a plastic built phone and the two immediate things you will notice are this new camera layout. It may be a bit of a polarizing look, but it's definitely grown on me after five days of use and Xiaomi is now using what they call an anti-fingerprint texture back, which almost has this faux leather type of look to it, but in terms of grip ability. I think this is a step-up from a lot of the glossy back phones. We typically see now I got the Poco in this power black, but I would love to check out the cool, blue and polo, yellow color variants and definitely are the ones to consider if you want to bring a bit more color to your Poco m3 experience and the bezels on this Poco m3 are pretty small, considering the price of this phone and yes, we do have a teardrop notch versus a punch hole.

Some may think this is a step back, but I don't mind teardrop notches and this one still looks very modern, with a very kind of light curve to it. All in all guys, a unique look here for the Poco m3 and I think you have to give Poco some credit. They are trying out different designs. Instead of the typical rebranding and just copycat approach that we see from some other OEMs and on the front, we have a 6.53 inch dot drop, full HD plus display, which is a great thing to see, given the price of this phone. Now it is an lcd, and it is only 60 hertz, but you get a lot of the features on this Poco m3 that you see on higher end models like sunlight mode and reading mode 2.0, including full color temperature adjustment, l1 certification as well. It's a l1 party here on the Poco m3 and the white point of this Poco m3 is solid.

Viewing angles are perfect as well, but sunlight legibility on this phone is a bit of a challenge. I do wish this lcd got a little brighter for that outdoor type of use, but once again considering the price of this phone, seeing a full HD display is a real positive and this display should suit your needs, whether you're watching content watching YouTube or playing games as well and talking about performance. We see for the first time on Frankie tech, the snapdragon 662, and this is an 11 nanometer outscore chipset, with an arena 610 GPU on board, which should offer mid-range to lower mid-range performance on this Poco m3 and with 4 gigs of DDR 4x ram and 64 or 128 gigs of UFS 2.1 or 2.2 storage and powered by mini 12.0.1, I'm getting generally good software performance. Yes, there are some slowdowns here and there when you're loading, apps multitasking is not going to be to the level of flagship phones, but considering the price. Poco is actually optimized, mini 12 very nicely here, and it's an enjoyable experience using this phone day to day- and I tell you when testing out more budget phones like this, I always want to see how does this kind of device handle gaming? Well, I did manage to play a bit of mesh and impact one of the most detailed games on android on this device, and it actually hung in there at the low 30fps settings now, if you switch to 60fps, it does get choppy, but this phone never got overly hot and the plastic build.

I think helps with that, but just make sure you don't do screen recording when you're playing a game like this. It slows down quite a bit, but I think if you're using moderate settings for games like mesh and impact or PUBG mobile, you shouldn't have a problem just keep swimming, and so now, let's talk about it. The hero spec of this Poco m3 is the battery capacity with a 6 000 William capacity on board. The Poco m3 is the largest battery Xiaomi device I have ever tested, and I have worked hard to try and kill off this phone. It is almost impossible to do but to share some more thoughts on the battery experience of this phone.

I bring you Frankie tech, guys, there's no denying that this Poco m3 is a battery champ, and I use this phone for seven hours of screen on time yesterday and I just got to 42 I've been using it all morning and this afternoon, and I'm still at 19 with moderate use. I think this phone could last two and a half, maybe even three days, thanks Frankie tech and with 18 watt fast charging capability. You're going to be able to charge up this phone in just under two hours, but charging specs aside. The capacity of this device is truly stellar. You'll be able to get two days of heavy use three days of moderate use, and I actually think you could go four or even five days with this Poco m3 the battery king is here and rounding out the remaining specs of this phone.

We do have a side mounted fingerprint scanner. It works fairly. Well, just like the 10 t-series, it's all my favorite placement, but overall it's a pretty fast fingerprint scanner experience and now one thing had to give at the price point of this phone and that's the vibration motor. It's one of those old, really kind of strong force, vibration motors- it's not tinny, but it's definitely not a premium. Experience and Poco has the vibration motor turned off by default when using the keyboard on this device.

I think they also knew it's not the most enjoyable experience, and you'll have solid connectivity. Specs on this Poco m3, including dual sim plus SD card support up to 512, gigs, solid 4g band support, including those bands 20 and 28, that are very important in Europe: 5 gigahertz, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5.0, FM radio with headphones, and, yes, you also get an IR blaster on this Poco m3 and call quality on this Poco m3 has been terrific as well. My wife said I sounded very clear and crisp and while yes, switching from 5g back to 4g on a device like this is a bit impractical. For me, I think for a lot of you out there.5G is not even on your minds and in that case the Poco m3 offers a terrific networking and phone experience as well. In terms of audio.

We actually have dual speakers on this Poco m3, which considering the price point, is an incredible spec. This device is high-res audio certified and, yes, you also get a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, but let's have a listen to the audio speaker test, so overall, not terrific dual speakers, but just the fact that a phone of this price point has dual speakers in the first place. I consider a win: it's a 7 out of 10 in terms of speaker capability on this Poco m3 and last but not least, talking about the cameras. We have a triple camera setup on this Poco m3, including a 48, megapixel, f, 1.8, main camera, a 2 megapixel macro and a 2 megapixel depth sensor and on the front you have an 8 megapixel camera with full HD shooting on both the front and the rear. Now, let's face it guys, I've tested one of these cameras in particular and in terms of primary camera performance.

This Poco m3 takes some really pleasing images. In the day it does struggle a bit with dynamic range compared to some of the other phones I've tested. But that being said, there's quite a good level of detail and at night the camera does struggle a bit and with a bit more graininess than I'm used to with some higher megapixel cameras from phones like the polo, x3 NFC, but there's one key mode on this phone. That really does help the low light photos out and that's night mode and with night mode enabled I was able to capture some pretty stunning images with this Poco m3 now sure when you zoom in you're, definitely going to see less detail and there's going to be a lot more grain in the image than on some higher end cameras, but have a look at these samples and these video samples and hit me up in the comments. Now, typically, when you think of polo, you think of the moniker master of speed, and yet in the case of this m3 Poco is focused on a different area of use that I think they have nailed in this device, and you could call this the master of batteries. It really is incredible what polo's been able to deliver in terms of battery capabilities, but they also haven't skimped on a lot of the other specs that you think they might at this price point like a full HD plus display, like dual speakers and like a primary camera that is able to take some decent shots in the day and at night, with night mode enabled and all in all, you are getting a really well-rounded experience on this Poco m3.

But what you are also getting is the battery king of 2020. , in my experience, the longest lasting device from both Poco Redmi or Xiaomi that I've used this entire year. If you want a phone that will last for days, look no further than this Poco m3. It is truly the battery king of 2020, but hit me up in the comments.
