Hey guys Asha from Safari Tech and in today's video, let's compare the cameras on the pixel excel with the ones on the iPhone 7, plus both phones, sport, similar resolution cameras and the iPhone 7 plus has a secondary camera as well that it uses in certain situations to provide a kind of optical zoom. Anyway, let's get at the samples now under good lighting conditions, both phones perform well. The dynamic range is excellent. The image is shot with the pixel have higher saturation or a little more vivid. The color reproduction on the image is shot with. The 7 plus is more realistic, but I do like the pixels colors.
The detail levels are comparable, but when you well pixel peep, you can see that the image is shot by the pixel SLR a little sharper and retain a tad more detail as well. The iPhone 7 plus, though, has 2 X optical zoom, because Apple uses a 56 millimeter lens with the secondary camera, and when you switch to that, the image shot with the iPhone just has a lot more detail. Just look at the balcony rails at the wall. Behind you remember, the optical zoom doesn't work at all times like here, with this macro shot the seven plus also crops in for digital zoom, for more information as to why and when this happens, check out. Our video on the same here is a card under artificial light.
The performance is similar. The pixel has more vivid colors. Both cameras keep nice to a minimum, decent processing, good job you and a little ID. My first impressions without the images shot with a pixel were brighter. But when you look at 100% crops, you can see that the noise levels are much lower with the images shot with the iPhone 7 plus.
The processing is also a lot cleaner here. Both cameras can shoot 4k, video at 30 frames per second, and let's start with the focus times, the pixel is at AG faster to focus. So, let's slow the footage down and there you see the leaves are in focus a split second earlier with the pixel and again see the freeze back and focus just a moment before, but here I actually prefer apples implementation. The transitions are just so much smoother. When you see this in real time, you do notice the focus change with the pixel, but you almost don't with the iPhone.
That's just my preference, though, in regard to detail both footage are comparable again and well. It's only the seventh plus that I saw is the digital stabilization on the pixel is quite good. If you see it's almost like the cameras on a Kimball, but again here's about when there is any movement, the software stabilization makes budgetary footage. The best example of that is wait for it here. Where the camera pound, you could notice the pixel, for it skipped a few frames.
Let me play that again for you, and you do. This I feel the iPhone takes a lead in regard to video with selfies the 8 megapixel camera on the pixel has a wider angle lens and captures more detail. It has better dynamic range ? by the 7 megapixel camera on the 7 + dust capture, skin tones better so as this is being shot via the front-facing cameras of both and the audio is also being recorded by the internal microphones, and both these cameras are excellent. Both phones are quite evenly matched with them trading wins and while yes, it's true that the pixel XL does hold an edge from time to time, I do find the cameras on the iPhone 7 plus better as in well more well-rounded, and if a world of pick between these two phones I probably end up going with the iPhone 7 plus. But that's just me if iOS is not for you, and you end up going with a pixel excel I'm, pretty sure you won't be disappointed because the cameras are quite excellent, so I guess that's it for this quick little camera comparison.
If you didn't like it, if you did find it useful, do give this video a thumbs up and for more videos like this, including the full review of the 7 plus 2, see they excel and maybe speed tests, and if you guys want to see a full comparison. Let me know in the comments below for all these videos make sure you can make sure you subscribe for that and I guess. That's it, thanks a lot for watching til next time. This is Asha from c4 tag signing off. You guys have a great day, bye, bye enough.
