Pixel 3a XL (Purple-ish) - Unboxing and First Impressions

This is Google's newly introduced smartphone, the pixel three AXL, it's Google's, mid-range, more affordable smartphone that comes in three different colors, the familiar just black, clearly white and the new purplish color, which is pictured in this video. It's not too feminine for those of you that are dudes out there and kind of are wondering if you want to go with this new color. There are two different form factors of this device: the pixel 3/8, the Xhosa 5.6-inch full HD display and the bigger XL version that has a 6-inch full HD display as well. Additionally, both displays on both models now have a LED technology built into them, so the blacks are black, which is pretty impressive for the cost of this device. So what do you get inside the box? You get the phone itself, a USB cable, a USB, C 2 USB, an adapter, a sim ejector tool and a fast charging brick. As for documentation, you get the startup guide brand sticker and some regulatory information.

The overall design is very close to Google's flagship, pixel 3xl, boasting a single camera and a fingerprint reader on the back of the device. The two-tone unibody design showcased on this device is just for looks as it served a purpose on the pixel 3 for wireless charging capabilities, in this case with the 3a and the three AXL. Unfortunately, that doesn't carry over to this device because you do not have wireless charging built into this phone. One impressive feature of this device in a world full of flagships that are slowly emitting the headphone jack, the 3a and the 3 AXL have a proper 3.5, millimeter headphone jack, which the pixel 3 and the 3 XL do not have. You can consume your media or playback music on this device through three different ways: Bluetooth through this USB-C port, using an adapter or the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, which is a nice addition, because it gives you all those different options. The standout feature of the 3a and the 3a XL is its camera.

The mid-range device has nitrite, which is incredibly useful for low-light photography. It also brings over a lot of what the pixel has in great photo processing power for portrait mode. It is missing the wide-angle view for the front-facing camera, but for my initial test and my initial impressions of this, it is still wider than the other flagship devices available. This device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor, in an Arena 615 GPU, with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of internal storage. It is not expandable, it is running.

Android 9.0 out of the box, and you can expect to have androids the latest builds and updates in true pixel fashion, delivered it to your device first. This is one of the awesome things about Google's devices. They are clean with no carrier bloat where it is very minimal. The Google Pixel 3, 8 and 3 AXL are available now, and you can pick them up online or in-store for $399 or 479 dollars. USD, respectively I look forward to putting this device through its paces and seeing how it hold-ups over time.

My first impressions of this device are reminiscent of my Nexus 5 days and how awesome that phone was and what a great value it was as well for the cost of it before I, close I must disclose. This device was sent to me for testing interview, and without that partnership this video would not have been possible. If you liked this video, please feel free to give me a thumbs up. If you didn't, you know what to do. Thank you for taking the time to watch, I'm, Tomas and I will catch you in the next one.
