Pixel 3a - Gaming Test; Results will shock you! By Mark's Tech

Hey guys how's it going, so I'm trying something new with this whole set up. Let me know if you guys like it or if you like my previous set up more so today, I want to talk about gaming. Now me personally, I don't really play that many games on a phone I still think the screen is too small. For that and let's, let's be honest, touch screen is never the best for video games, but I understand there are a lot of people out there that and do enjoy casual gaming sometimes so today, I want to talk about. Can the pixel 3 a perform good? We all know it probably won't perform amazingly great, but will you get your average gaming on this phone? Also, during the time of the gaming I, want you guys to keep a lookout on the clock on the phone so the time and also the battery to get you a better understanding of how long I play and how much battery dropped and as well as I'm, going to take a laser temperature gun and see what the temp is before and after the game? As well so, let's begin so right now it is 11 o'clock, exactly we're going to test out the temperature. So right now we're about 80, 79, 80 degrees, Fahrenheit up with the Celsius on the screen, so you guys can see, but roughly about 79 to 80 throughout the front of the device now testing out the back of the device, we're also getting about 77, 78757 or no 79.

So roughly the same as the front, so I guess, let's start out with hub G Mobile, so the phone Auto sets to HD and high. So that's a good start. I mean it's pretty smooth I mean I. Can't really I can't really complain too much. Also, the time is 1103 and the battery is at 89%.

So I'll keep that in mind. I mean there are a very minor popping issues, as you guys can tell stuff. Are they pop it in and pop it out? But I mean you it's its smooth. It's definitely smooth, no clothes, no doubt about it. Oh, how the hell did I get that, as you guys, can tell I, never played this game, so I have no idea what I'm doing I mean even when driving a motorcycle.

It's not really that much framing issues, oh god, oh god, I didn't work out that! Well man I'm on a roll, oh god, no I spoke too soon. Where are they? Where are they? Oh, there? They are yeah, that's what you get Punk five kills. That is honestly a miracle anyway. So right now it is 1114 and the battery is at 86%. So, let's test out the thermals, so we're looking at pretty decently high thermals 97 degrees, 98 99, so overall yeah it definitely went up a lot.

Now, let's check the back 96 95 98 92 90. So there you guys have it so right. Now, let's go ahead and play another game. Let's play some Need for Speed No Limits. How do I turn as you guys, can tell I'm, not a very big gamer I am so horrible at this game, but, as you guys can tell it's not really choppy whatsoever, it's actually playing really smooth, not half-bad.

What are you talking about? I came in last, I mean really. If you guys hadn't told me, this is a Snapdragon 670. I probably would not have believed you I mean it is playing super smooth, I mean I, don't know, let's see you guys be the judge. Okay, I'm, not gonna, get my opinion mixed into this. But if you asked me, this is playing really smooth I, don't see any frame cuts or anything.

So let's go ahead and test the thermals 90 92, 94 96, so about you know 95 average. Maybe seven I saw up here somewhere so again about 95 average on the bottom or on the back of the device. So now let's play some Mortal Kombat, another pretty intense game. So I already know this game's going to perform very well just because I play this game a lot. Oh my god, I'm dying.

Now it's taste of my own medicine. I got you damn girl chill out, there's no lag, I mean I mean like I, don't even know how to explain this. The phone plays. Well, if you, if you like games- and you don't really much if, for example, if pub G in your opinion played and bad like, if you saw some lag, that I didn't see, you don't have to play in the highest resolution known to mankind, you can just simply go to medium settings. I mean you're playing on the screen.

That's what five point eight inches I think. So it's not like you're, really going to notice that big of a difference on a five point. Eight five point: eight-inch screen, you know I mean if you were playing on a 65 inch, 4k curved LED screen yeah. You know now we're talking, but on a phone like this, you know this size, you're, not really going to notice that much of a difference in going from high to medium on a pub G. Just in case, if you didn't like that gameplay overall, it performs well it's 1124.

So about 24 minutes. Since we started playing games and the battery's at 83%, and I think we started at 89 overall, pretty respectable numbers. I can't really complain too much. It's a great device. Guys I mean, for you know, for the price you even you can't really beat it, especially with that bomb camera.
