What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome. Back today we have a new camera, a comparison between the latest phone from Apple, the iPhone 10 R and the latest phone from Google, the pixel 3 XL. Now the pixel 3 XL is a bit more expensive, but the iPhone 10 R, it's using the same camera used for the iPhone 10 s, so the comparison should be very fair, alright, so starting with the Google Pixel 3 XL. On the back of this one, we have one camera. This is a 12 point, two megapixel sensor, the F 1.8 and, of course, with optical image, stabilization and moving to the iPhone 10 R. On the back of this one, we have one camera as well.
This is a 12 megapixel sensor, the F, 1.8 and, of course, an optical image stabilization. So, throughout this video we are gonna check out some daytime pictures. You're also gonna check out some portrait mode pictures. Then we'll move on to nighttime pictures. Then we'll check out some videos and at the end you can check out some selfies and I guess we are going to start on with the daytime pictures so for portrait mode.
Pictures taking in daylight I feel that the Google Pixel 3xl does a better job and mostly because the edge detection is better because if you look at those pictures, you're going to notice that the iPhone 10 are kind of cuts that had, on top of my daughter, said. So. The edge detection is definitely better on the Google Pixel 3xl for regular daytime pictures. I personally prefer the pictures taken by the iPhone 10 are, and mostly because the colors are closer to reality. So the pixel 3xl seems to use on some warmer colors, but on the pictures taken by the iPhone 10 are closer to what I'm.
Seeing with my own eyes. Also, the pictures taken by the iPhone seem to be a bit brighter, but not overexposed where the contrast seems to be a bit higher for the pictures taken by the pixel 3xl. The dynamic range is pretty similar, but an overall me personally prefer the pictures taken by the iPhone, but I'm. Definitely let me know in the comments down below if you prefer the pictures taken by the iPhone or by the pixel, because this will depend on your personal preference and that I guess I'll. Let you guys watch some more pictures, so you can make up your own mind, and we are moving on to nighttime pictures well for nighttime pictures.
There is no comparison. All the pictures taken by the pixel tree Excel seems to be way better brighter and a bit sharper as well, so I'm gonna. Let you guys watch a few pictures, but me personally prefer the pictures taken by the pixel 3 Excel for nighttime, then we're moving on to video recordings. Well for video recordings. Both devices can do 4k at 30 frames per second, but only the iPhone can do 4k at 60 frames per second now for any stabilization, I prefer the videos from the pixel 3xl, because the stabilization seems to be somewhat better, but for colors and sound I prefer the videos recorded by the iPhone 10 R.
So, let's check out some videos. This is a quick video test between the iPhone 10 R and the Google Pixel 3xl, so I'm currently recording in 4k at 30 frames per second, of course. At this resolution we have an image stabilization now, with the iPhone I could record in 4k 60 frames per second, but that resolution the in stabilization, doesn't exactly work. So under these conditions. This is how video sample from these two devices would look like.
This is another 4k video sample between the pixel 3xl and the iPhone 10 R, but this time I'm going to be running, so we can check out the image stabilization for 4k at 30 frames per second recording. So let's do this. We have another 4k video sample between the iPhone 10 R and the pixel 3x cell. But this time around, we have a bit more noise around us because there is traffic to my right and dump water to my left, and it's also a bit windy. So under these conditions, this is how recording from these two devices would look like.
And lastly, we are gonna check out some selfies well for selfies and once again, I prefer all the pictures take him by the pixel 3xl over the pictures taken by the iPhone tonight. But definitely let me know in the comments down below if you prefer the pictures from the iPhone 10 R or the pixel 3. So let's check out those pictures. So there you have it. The pixel is better for portrait mode pictures, nighttime pictures and selfies, where the iPhone tanner is better for daytime pictures and probably videos.
But what do you guys prefer? Let me know in the comments down below because I'm very curious to see if you like, the warmer colors from the pixel 3xl or the more natural-looking colors from the iPhone 10 are all right guys hopefully enjoyed this video. If you did like it, press that, like button, don't forget, subscribe, and I'll, see you in the next one thanks for watching.
