Hey everybody how's it going Daniel. Here today we are taking a look at the pacific, blue, iPhone 12 Pro. You can see the box right there. It says iPhone there and that blue color very simple, straightforward box. So let's get right into this. This is the 12 pro max retails for eleven hundred dollars comes with 128 gigs of storage.
You can see the blue right there for some reason. All these colors look better in the max versions. Just I don't know, maybe it's just because you can see a larger phone and see the color laid out over a larger surface area, but uh just looks perfect. All these colors look perfect. So far.
Here is, of course, the blue back. Let's go ahead here and see what we got so far. We have the silver graphite and blue right there, so you can take a look at them and hopefully this gives you an idea of how the colors look, but not only that also how the size is relative to other devices, because here we have a mini model, so you can see the size difference between apple's, the smallest phone right now and apple's biggest phone. And yes, this is their smallest phone, because this is still quite a way smaller than the SE and iPhone 7 and everything that we've seen in uh in quite a while. So you can see the difference there in size between the SE basically- and this mini right there, I'm not putting it directly on top, but you can see that there it is crazy, and then we take here, and we put the max- and it's just looked at that- it's so much bigger.
So it's cool that we do have different sizes now and let's go ahead and remove the film on the front. So you can see that there you can see the stainless steel there, which looks very, very nice and very simple, very nice. You can see the front there, and maybe you can kind of see some of that reflection from the stainless steel from the front, not that much not as much as the silver one. Let's show you here, real quick. What else is in the box? You're just going to get a lightning and an USB end here, so you will need an USB power, brick, you do also get an apple sticker and a sim eject tool very straightforward, again eleven hundred dollars.
What are the differences between this? The 11 and the 11 pro well versus the normal 11? You do get an extra camera and versus the 11 pro and the 11. You get slightly better camera in here, so uh this is going to have slightly updated optics that you don't get with the am I saying 11 pro. I think I was, but I meant 12 pro, I'm sorry about that. So with the 12 pro max here, you are going to get slightly better cameras. However, this is not a reason.
I stress this. This is not a reason to get the max anyone who says that is just being silly. The only reason to get the max is, if you need the larger display and more battery life, a little more battery life. So if you need those things, definitely go for the max. However, if you don't, I highly recommend the 12 or the 12 pro, because those are still plenty big for most people out there and that you won't have to carry around such a large phone, but you'll still have a very nice and large display.
So I'm looking for my phone around here there we go. You can see that right there, the size difference. It makes the normal 12 and 12 pro looks small. However, those are not small devices. Most people already can't handle a device this size- it's quite big.
I do think the mini is quite mini, and I still believe that the last year's 11 pro size is kind of the perfect size for almost everyone out there. It's because this one's a little bigger than that. But here you can kind of see this size comparison there. So let's go ahead and put this down. Let me go ahead and boot up this phone right here and now what I'm going to show you guys is how this looks while texting and calling, and also in a slightly different lighting environment.
So let me turn on here my other camera, and there we have it, so it should be recording now and uh. Here we have the pacific blue. I keep wanting to say midnight blue, but basically here should give you an idea of how it looks with texting from a distance like if you're texting without a case, how are people going to see the phone? You can see that there I was using. I think, I'd be using it like this, like holding with one hand, I would not one hand it and try to reach things, because it's just a quite large display, so you can see that there. How does it look while actually calling someone? You can see it there relative to my head, how the phone is gonna, look and just for a quick comparison.
Let's grab the mini here, so you can see how that looks relative to my head. So quite a difference. I think at least it should be yeah, I think so definitely a large device and something that you should get only if you need the extra screen for gaming or watching movies or whatnot, and I've always said it, I think. Well, it doesn't want to focus there. We go, you can see it there in slightly different lighting.
You can see how the blue gets reflected off of there, and it is very nice. My favorite color is the graphite this year and I think second would be the blue and third, the gold honestly they're all kind of second to me. So I like the graphite the most, but then after that I, like all the other three equally much as. I could easily see myself with a gold one or with a blue one right here and, of course, the silver one. So I think it's just that the graphite for me this year.
I really do dig that color now we're moving on to the case portion of this video, where I'm going to show you quite a few cases here and let's put this away, I'm also going to show you the Apple Wallet, real quick. So you can see how that looks. So, let's bring the cases in showing you the exact same cases. I showed in the other colors to keep things simple and different from at least the 12 unboxing, alright. So, first off we're going to start with this leather wallet here, which is the MagSafe wallet from apple just so you can see how that fits here on the max.
If we get my pro here, real quick, you can see how it fits on the pro right there now, of course, then, on the mini, it would fit basically to the same size of the phone. So now, let's go ahead and put on the apple leather case, and what I think is the best color for leather case just because of the way it darkens over time. It kind of ages the best out of all of them, and you can see that there it looks perfect with the blue matches quite nicely and then, if you wanted to, you could put that case on top and uh oddly enough that the wallet kind of gives it a slightly nice hump in the back and the case makes it easier to just grip and grab on to the phone since it is a larger device. I think a case should be on this, just because uh, not only are you more prone to dropping a larger device, but also it's a little harder to maneuver it with your hands and everything. So now, let's go ahead and move on here to the other cases, please feel free to skip around, because this is kind of boring to watch.
But yes, here we have a blue with map black back from Torres. All these cases were sent out to check out I'd, have no obligation to show them or shout them out or anything they didn't pay me or anything. I'm just you know it's just to show you guys. Hopefully it helps, but you can see this here quite nice actually, but it is quite a different blue from the phone. So I personally wouldn't support this, because this blue matches more of the iPhone 12 blue.
Let's go on to a slightly thicker case, which one of my points here is: if you are going to get a larger phone think about it, because the case is going to make the phone even larger than how large the phone is, and this phone is larger than even last year's max. So keep that in mind, even if you had an iPhone, 6s, plus or whatever one of those older ones. This is much larger than those devices. The screen is larger, there's more to reach and everything. So I'm trying to go home for some reason, but it's not set up.
Okay, there we go, and you can see that there how it looks on my hand. Let me give you a comparison here compared to a 12 pro with no case really dwarfs it quite a bit. It is much larger, it's a beautiful display, but you can see it there with a case. That's a little bulkier and let's go ahead and remove this all right. So now we have a really thin case from totally that is blue, so again, quite a different blue than the phone itself.
So I'm not a huge fan, I think what's better for a phone like this is, if you contrast right so if this case was on the silver, I think that looks better than on a blue phone, because this blue and silver will look cooler and then, if we had a white case on this phone, it would look cool because it would contrast. So I personally always look at it like that. If blue is your favorite color, maybe blue is not the color to get as a phone, but instead as a case, or vice versa. Who knows so here we have the pit aka armed fiber case, which is almost like a carbon fiber case looks perfect. Has some of those ports opened, and I mean hopefully that's just kind of giving you an example of how cases are going to look on this phone all right now we move on to a slightly thicker case.
So it's like medium level thickness, so it'll protect it a little more, but it's still trying to be thin. It doesn't have too much of a lip in front, so you are going to be able to see some of that um stainless steel around the edges, reflecting which might be nice, for you might not be nice but uh there. You can see that very nice of the black and blue. I am a fan of that. Combo looks very cool, and last but not least, let's go with one of these ring cases which uh.
I know a lot of people use with these larger phones, so you can put your finger through it. This is how it looks, and we just grab it, and you can see that there basically just be um holding it like that, so you prevent from dropping. I know a lot of people use that. So that's how this looks here with that. I believe these also work like as a stand as well.
So if you put it like that, it's supposed to stand it up, so you can watch TV and stuff so very cool. So that is the midnight, and it's not midnight, but it's pacific. I keep saying midnight for some reason. It is pacific blue. There you go.
Thank you for watching this video make sure to check out the other ones, and I'll catch you in the next one. Goodbye.
