Oppo Reno Z Review By Seedubs Media

Get, a folks corner here from set up his tech reviews back with another video, and today we're doing my review on the OPPO Reno Z, so without further ado hit the like button in a subscribe button. Let's get stuck into the video, let's go just quick before we get started, links down below if you're doing a pick, one up, ok, folks, let's just get stuck straight into the video and talk about the build and design of the OPPO Renault Z. Now I looked at this device and for $499. Where are they going to scrimp and save, and I thought it's got to be in the build and design. Then I was completely wrong. Looking at Gorilla, Glass 5 front and back a little of plastic in between, but still don't have that Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back is really nice you're.

Looking at a forty, eight megapixel camera on the back and a thirty-two megapixel front facing camera, 5 megapixel depth-sensing camera on the back as well I mean they build and design, and the hardware on this thing is just stacked, and you will not be disappointed. You also have stereo speakers, so one on the earpiece at the top and one at the bottom, along the grill there. Next to the micro USB type-c. We also have a four thousand William hour battery and look at the color on this thing. It looks amazing.

It really does turn heads now to top off that building design. We also have an N display, fingerprint sensor, which is quick, and I mean as quick as my Galaxy Note 9, if not quicker, and I really wasn't expecting that at this price point now, the in display fingerprint sensor only works. If my face doesn't unlock a quicker, and they're. Both superfast you'll be super happy with it. It's really convenient and people will notice, so I'd, say: building design.

You've got a six point. Four inch AMOLED display here. That turns heads and it is easy to use. You will be really impressed with what you get on the OPPO Reno z. Now next we've got the software.

Now when I first started reviewing OPPO devices, their software was almost identical to Apple, and I was like or I, don't know if I like this, but it wasn't that bad, and it has matured over time, and now I think we've got software here. That is more like Android than what it is Apple with its own little flavor thrown in to give it a bit of personality, we're running color, OS, 6 and Android 9 PI, and to top it off security, patch level, 5th of July, and we're still in July, I'm, happy and I. Also remember: when I first started using Color OS, you couldn't add custom messaging apps, you couldn't add custom launchers, but these days you can add whatever you want, and I don't have any problems like I did in the early days. So they've really listened to the people, and they know that US Android users, we like a little of customization, and they've, opened that up for us the settings still look a little like Apple, but they are intuitive easy to operate and easy on the eye and other than that you've got your OPPO flair, that's thrown in nothing spectacular, it's fairly, easy to use and I, don't think anyone's going to be disappointed these days. It is certainly not what it used to be now we're going to move on from software and go straight into the performance and I have done a separate video on the benchmarks and gaming performance of the OPPO Reno Z, and that's because a lot of people were asking me to do it.

So there is a separate video I'll link it down below and in the show notes at the end, make sure you go and check it out, but in a nutshell, we're running the Helios p90 8 gigs of RAM 128 gigs of storage. The GPU is by power VR, and it is a GM 944 6. What does all this mean? It just means that it performs pretty well under hard conditions and I mean gaming on pub G asphalt, 9, multitasking multimedia, all the intensive things that a phone can do. The op, amp, Reno, Z, performs really well and I. Think the Helios p90 holds up to its own I mean I, got to keep coming back to this price point, and we're getting this sort of performance on a $499 phone and for those of you who might be watching this in America, that's their clever equivalent to about 350 US dollars.8 gigs of ram 128 gigs of storage just goes on how much you do get. There was only one heck, and that was when I was playing pub G on high settings.

It just couldn't really cope with it, my daughter back to medium graphics level, and it performed fine after that for performance. This is very acceptable. You're going to be very happy. Next, we're going to talk about the camera, and this is the one area where phones can win or lose their audience, and I'm happy to say that the OPPO Reno Z performs really well in the camera department. Is it pixel 3/8 camera quality? No, it's not, but it is up there.

This is cheaper than the Pixel 3a, and you are not going to be disappointed with the photos. I am NOT disappointed with the photos, as you can see through these, it takes perfect photos. Most phones can take good photos in good light. This phone takes great photos in good light, in average photos in low light. However, it does come with night mode, which is a win-win.

Then you hold this steady in low light. Take a photo you're going to get a perfect shot and I think any other phone supplier is going to be impressed if they could come up with this quality or photo so OPPO you're, doing really well I'm actually rapped at the quality I'm. Getting with this, you also get slo-mo time-lapse panorama night mode in video you get 720p 1080p 4k. Now the 1080p and 720p comes with electronic image stabilization that works really well and, as you can see with this footage, it is really nice and steady, and I think it would be really impressive it. You could definitely use this phone as a vlogging camera.

You wouldn't have a problem with that. If front-facing camera doesn't supply bad video ever, however, there's one area that I think needs improving, and I think could be done with software. Is that front-facing camera tends to overexpose too much and there seems to be way too much of this beauty mode going on I, don't like all that beauty mode crap just give me a normal photo and I just think that the Oppo tends to go now. It is a 32 megapixel, front-facing camera. So that's why I expect a little more out of it.

But overall the camera is a win-win, just like the software and the performance and the building design. The next part of my review covers off media consumption and battery life together, because that's when my phone uses most of its batteries, went on consuming media or creating media, and I'd have to say that the battery life has been quite outstanding. For me, four thousand William hour battery I easily get through a whole day now I use my phone as my media device. I don't watch traditional television I, don't like sitting down and watching TV there's too much crap on it and I have no control over what they're feeding me, so I'd like to choose what I consume by using my phone and choosing from Netflix Red Bull TV YouTube, whatever it is that I choose to watch. So this is my main television, and I'm happy to say that, even though I consume all that media I still get right to the end of the day with plenty of battery life left I certainly never go on.

Note, I'm running out of juice. Now one of the interesting things is we have Luke charging now charging is just super quick charging, even if I did have problems with the battery life. Overcharged me out of trouble every day, but you know what I haven't really had to rely on vogue. Judging I put it on charge when I go to bed at night and I wake up in the morning, and it's charged, but if I ever did need to quickly throw it on charge, he'll shower and then head out for the night, but I know with half an hour of charging on UCA charging. I would have plenty of battery life left to get me right through to the rest of the night.
