OnePlus 9 Pro vs iPhone 12 Pro Max Speed Test!

So, what is up guys nick here, helping you to master your technology, OnePlus 9 pro 5g versus the iPhone 12 Pro max? I don't call it 5g, but it is a 5g phone. We're going to go ahead and begin with a boot up in three two one and see which one can get there. First now the OnePlus 9 pro does have a snapdragon 888 CPU, coupled with 12 gigs of ram. That is a beast setup right there. This one right here, also a beastly apple, a14, apple, apple, 814, bionic, chipset, coupled with six gigs of ram, but remember iOS, is super. Efficient, doesn't always need as much ram.

Now a lot of people say I don't care about the boot up test, but the iPhone in this area did win out here, at least in the boot up test, so we're going to give that first one to the iPhone all right. So both of these do have faced unlock, so we're gonna check out which one is quicker, and this one also does have a scanner inside the screen. So if you just look here at the one you'll see it didn't even give me time to look, it was so fast to unlock that phone right there. It has this auto unlock feature. You can also set it up to where you can swipe, but why would you do that when the minute you look at it boom it's in there now.

Also, right here, you have this optical in display fingerprint sensor. This is also, I think, quicker than unlocking than the face ID for the iPhone. So with the iPhone you look at it, it's quick, you open it up, and we could argue about security, but the optical fingerprint sensor is pretty secure as well. You'll see right here, definitely very good here for the 12 pro max. However, still you can't beat that when you just look at it, bang you're just right in there, bang you're just right in there once again, bang we're right in there.

So definitely, I would say quicker to unlock on the OnePlus 9 pro over the iPhone 12 Pro max all right guys. The moment you've been waiting for the app test, 120 hertz OLED on the left. This thing does have a snapdragon 888 CPU. This is coupled with 12 gigs, again oxygen, OS 11 over there with the android 11 software we have 14.4.2 over here we do have a 60 hertz OLED. We do have Apple A14, bionic, controlled by apple themselves, hardware and software.

Let's see which one who does it quicker we're going to go into Instagram three, two one, and you can see that the OnePlus says it's my time. It's 20 21, I'm ready to shine. Look at the morning mist on the back. You can see apple says: shut up nick, I'm going to open this thing up a little quicker, but you can see that that thing does load very fast and smooth on the OnePlus, so before android will be really fast, but a little choppy. Now it's smooth and fast over here we still have that buttery scroll, but it takes a little longer to get through the whole page on the iPhone.

Now, when you swipe out you'll see that gesture is just as smooth. This is like the smoothest android phone in terms of gestures that I've seen as the OnePlus we're going to go into twitter, and you can see twitter says it's my time again on the left. We're going to go into profile. You can see one plus just quicker with the animation we'll head up out of there we're going to Amazon. You could see once again OnePlus quicker on the animation we're going to head up out of there we're going to eBay.

Furthermore, you could see iPhone says I'm faster one bay, so you want to shop one bay, you're going to want to come over here. Let's go into Best Buy, and you can see best buy faster there for the OnePlus again, so you can see they're not messing around even though they're commanding a higher price tag. This is a boss, phone and performance, so it kind of seems like it might be worth it. The OnePlus 9 pro faster on Starbucks we're going to go into Groupon you'll, see OnePlus 9 pro faster again we're going to go into categories faster again we're going to go into goods again faster than the iPhone over there. We're gonna head up out of there we're going to go into ESPN, and you could see faster to load that up on the left, we're going to go into scores that time faster for the iPhone 12 Pro max that gesture butter smooth on both we're going to go into Mortal Kombat.

So can the iPhone, as always, take down android devices in the gaming department. This one does have a gaming mode, that's supposed to make it even better, but I don't think it's going to out load the iPhone here. This is where iPhone usually always wins. Let's see what happens seems to be in the lead once again and yes, the iPhone with that gaming man. It's always super quick to load these things up, but I can say the OnePlus does perform very well when doing gaming, so you don't have to worry much about the gaming area, but the iPhone wins it out here in terms of the load times on the motor combat for sure.

Let's go ahead now and go to PUBG mobile 321 and see which one could load this up. First now I was testing this yesterday and the OnePlus did beat the iPhone to load this game, but I don't know if it's going to do it here, live in. My speed test seems to be ahead right now and looks like it might be. Yep looks like so how often does that happen that android phone gets to the home screen faster than the iPhone not really often, and if we go ahead and start the match, you'll see they should match up at a similar time. So if you want an android phone, and you want it to perform like an iPhone get yourself, the OnePlus 9 pro 5g you're going to be very happy with this.

You can see that the iPhone's slightly ahead there when matching up and let's go ahead and get a body here. You can see there's no delay or lag either when coming out of those landscape games. Here on the left, we're going to go over here into temple run now, and you can see temple run first there for that's one that one's actually about the same. So when it comes these casual games, they have no problem. Ripping through these babies all day, definitely very easy to go through those applications.

Let's go into cross road, a very basic game. I want to throw some basic stuff in here too, we're not always playing these high-end games, and you can see the iPhone might have loaded that first, but very similar overall on that load time, we're going to go into premiere rush, and you'll see OnePlus had that one first over the iPhone it could be because I have this project in here. You know what I'm going to delete this project. I'm going to close these out and try that again just to make sure it wasn't because of the project. Let's go to rush and you'll see.

Rush opens first there for the OnePlus 9 pro we're going to go into geek bench 5 you'll, see the iPhone, and we'll go into wildlife.3D mark iPhone slightly. So I'm calling this pretty much even Steven. We do have one game: loading faster, the iPhone the Mortal Kombat I think cross hero was slightly faster, but a couple were quicker about even on the temple run and the one plus was a little faster on the pub g, the basic gaps most of them. The animation was faster for the OnePlus, and a couple of them were better optimized for the iPhone. So we're talking about an even Steven performance here on both of these alright six gigs of ram 12 gigs of ram it's time to see if they're going to reload anything on either.

So, let's go to wildlife. You'll see no problems, geek bench, no problems and man look at the animation on the OnePlus very smooth, just like here on the right, and the only reason that I'm talking about that is because a lot of android phones do not match this phone when it comes to that, so that I find impressive, let's go into PUBG mobile and let's get up out of here and let's go back to motor combat you'll, see that they both were there ready to go, and we'll head up into ESPN. I do think the OnePlus should be able to hold a little more applications, but if you do have it in like the battery saving, and they have it optimized, it does kill some apps. If you do have it optimized for that, so the best buy was open. I just missed the tap we're going to eBay you'll, see very similar Amazon, very similar on both twitter, very similar, no reloads on either of them here.

But again, if you have the battery saving mode on and optimized charging and stuff, you might have a couple reloads here. I'll show you what I'm talking about. So let's go in the settings, and then we're going to go down here to battery. If you go to battery optimization, if some of these apps are optimized, they will be on intelligent control. They will actually kill in the background, so a few of them I put on don't optimize just to make sure that didn't happen.

So keep that in mind with the OnePlus, but both of them very good. In the ram management we have 12 gigs here six gigs thumbs up very fast performance on both all right guys. So we're going to go to the OnePlus page first, and then we'll go to the apple. You can see here three two one in the browser about the same there. You also notice that both of these here when scrolling very good the OnePlus, though you can see it, it's definitely choppier on the iPhone, mostly because it's not utilizing the 120 hertz.

The iPhone 13 should be bringing that. Maybe we'll run this test again with the 13 pro max when it comes out, or maybe it'll, be the 12s pro max, we'll see what they call it. But let me know if you want to see that down below okay guys. So let's go to apple. com321, let's see which one could load this up.

First, you could see iPhone loads. It up. First, that's convenient because it should, it's the iPhone, but you'll see scrolling and safari smooth as butter very good here, but I would say that just to having that higher refresh, you can definitely notice that this is an area. That's immediately noticeable over the iPhone these days. Is these 120 hertz display it's noticeable when you're scrolling through, like especially on the home screen here, when you're going through you'll, just kind of see more of a chop there on the iPhone? Maybe it doesn't come through on video, but it's definitely noticeable in person.

So we do have very good browsing on both have 5g compatibility, so very good here, all right guys, so the final scores are in and while these are respectable scores here for OnePlus 9 pro 5g, the iPhone of course has a higher benchmark. This is just not going to matter in the real world, but I do have to show it because some people care about these scores. Let's go ahead now and run a 3d mark wildlife. Here we're going to hit play here on both, and I'll, be back when both of these are done. We'll show the graphics and stuff like that.

Okay, so technically in the wildlife it looks like we do have an overall higher score for the 12 pro max here 9092, and it averaged a little higher. Actually, a higher frame rate here of 54 SP fps on the average frame rate, and if we scroll down you can see the OnePlus versus all other devices, we're talking most other android phones here, 92 percent better. So it's like the fastest android phone. You can get definitely one of them. Maybe the rock phone is a little faster than this, but very quick over here, and then you could see this one did 51 percent better than other iPhone models, uh.

So pretty good here I would say overall you're getting boss performance on both of these devices. The iPhone definitely ahead here in the actual benchmark square, but this is the seems to be the case every year, the iPhone ahead and the benchmark score. These newer flagship, android phones and the real world perform about the same. So it's really going to come down to which software do you want, and for that reason let me know: do you want to see a full comparison between OnePlus 9, pro 5g and iPhone 12 Pro max, and we don't call it 5g, but it's a 5g phone. Let me know if you want to see a full comparison between these two and let me know which one you think is the better in terms of performance.

What would you rather have just the raw performance of the a14, or would you rather have the much faster feeling you know 120 hertz OLED display over here with that fluid AMOLED? Let me know down below if you found this video helpful entertaining and for me, click the like button for me subscribe for more speed tests like this. I will catch you all in the next episode nick here and peace.
