OnePlus 8T Review! - Its Not That Bad By CarbonLake

The OnePlus 8t some say it's good and others say it's not worth the price, but the real question here is: should you get one for yourself? Well, let's figure it out. Shall we at first look? It definitely looks like a faction. Well, it is a flagship right. No, it's not quite a faction. Then it's obviously flagship killer. Well, it's also not quite a flagship killer, either to be a flagship killer.

It needs to be at a low price. This starts at 750 bucks. That's almost like iPhone 12 territory. Look. I know this should be compared to the iPhone 12, but if it's competing at that level, it better be good, and it definitely is at least for the most part I'm going to get to that a bit later.

But to kick things off, this phone feels tremendously snappy, but that's not a huge surprise. It has snapdragon 865 and 8 to 12 gigs of ram. Depending on what storage you choose, it has a much faster UFS, 3.1 storage. So performance is not an issue here. OnePlus designed this phone to look and feel a lot like a flagship, although it has amazing build quality, it's still not too heavy, which is great.

The amazing alert slider is still here, and it feels more tactile than before. It's really satisfying to click. I have to get in that for me personally, I'm not a huge fan of this color aquamarine green. It's called. I would rather have the lunar silver, which looks more elegant in my opinion, but I get it if you like this color, it's much less of a fingerprint magnet I'd say under the display.

You have a very good fingerprint sensor, it almost never misses, and it is very, very fast. This phone is equipped with a perfect 1080p 120 inch display, and I can tell you that, because amateur guy that could immediately tell the difference between full HD and quad HD, and in this case I just couldn't tell. I literally have to reconfirm that this is a 1080p display. Peak brightness is at 1100 nits, which makes it very, very easy to view outdoors. I do notice whenever I'm in a dark room.

I can't seem to pull the brightness down enough. Unlike the OnePlus pro models, I mean that shouldn't be a huge dealbreaker for most of you and as for watching videos, it's perfect. But if you watched a lot of YouTube videos at 1440p before you will definitely notice the difference, because YouTube compression at 1080p is not the best and speaking of YouTube. I noticed that in the app itself the refresh rate is locked to 60 hertz, I'm not sure, what's happening, but I thought I should just point that out. Well, that brings us to the speaker nothing much to say about it, although it could get pretty loud.

I feel like it's lacking a bit in the low end. The mid and highs are just decent. I think you should just be fine with it. Well, let's talk about android 11. Yes, it has android 11 right out of the box, and it's running under the oxygen OS skin.

I was a bit skeptical when I saw this version of the auction OS because they started taking cues from my least favorite android skin, which is Samsung's one UI, but after I've been using it I've grown to like it they've improved. A few things like settings are much easier to navigate. Now you can enable dark mode right in the quick settings panel, which is amazing and alongside that they've also added many more useful features. Battery life has been quite good as far as I've been using it. It doesn't blow you away or anything, it's just enough for you to use it throughout the day, but the thing is, even though this doesn't have wireless charging.

Yes, it doesn't have wireless charging, which is a bummer, but it has an insanely fast charging speed. Remember OnePlus warp charge, it's even faster than that. Now it charges your phone at a whopping, 65 watts, which translates to that you will get from 10 to 79 of battery in just 20 minutes. That's just insane! Well enough of that. Let's talk about the camera.

The camera on this phone might be the worst offender, but worst doesn't actually mean that it's terrible, the camera is perfectly fine, and I'm sure you can live with it. The main 48 megapixel camera has decent dynamic range and colors sharpness is perfect. Assuming there is sufficient lighting, there is a new 16 megapixel ultra-wide, which looks better than before: a 5 megapixel macro camera and a 2 megapixel monochrome sensor. It's also part of the family. Now it seems, but I would rather have two perfect cameras instead of a bunch of okay performing cameras.

Overall, it should be fine for most people, but it all comes again to that one question: should you buy it? Well, if you already invested a bunch of wireless chargers, and you have them in your car, you have them sprinkled around your home, then this is not the one for you. If you want the most camera for your money, then this is also not the phone for you, but if all you wanted is performance and flagship like quality. This is an amazing phone and there's also the one thing that other phones couldn't replicate, which is the awesome oxygen OS, and that in itself could be a justifiable reason to get this film so have a nice day.
